I really miss this man with his great way of telling a good story. I raised five children on Jerry Clower cassette tapes while homeschooling them and they turned out the better for it!!
I saw him 30 years ago in Chapel Hill. I believe I was the only one there who understood him because I was laughing so hard. Everyone else was looking at me because they didn’t know what Jerry was talking about!

Jerry was hilarious. I heard his stories were true But he told them funny. He never cussed in his albums Jerry never made a album that couldn't be played in church
this story reminds me of the time one of our neighbors poured 10 gallons of gas in a groundhog hole that was beside his hog pen.we came along about the time he was running his hog out of the pen so it diddnt burn up along with the hog pen lol.i never could figger why he was so set on killing that groundhog he wasnt hurting that hog any.

I can hear her to this day "there is a hawk flying around down by the creek it's goin'in be up here swooping down and eat my hens while the poor thing are still alive you better get your gun and get out there and kill it for it starts killin em"
I miss him. There will never be another like this comedian. It makes me proud to be from the Old South.

Jerry Clower would always make me laugh. He made living a clean Christian life very attractive.
