- A Russian Su-30 fighter jet has crashed during a training mission in the enclave of Kaliningrad, killing both pilots on board.

“The Su-30 aircraft crashed in a deserted area. The flight was carried out without ammunition. The crew died,” local military authorities said.
Military officials said that it was likely caused by a technical malfunction.
Kaliningrad, where Russia’s popular fighter jet crashed, is a Russian exclave on the Baltic Sea, positioned between NATO member states Poland and Lithuania.
Two Russian fighter jets also crashed last month while on training missions, one into the Pacific Ocean and one into the Sea of Azov.

This is a special family barbecue occasion. We always celebrate in Kaliningrad oblast, when this happens, with extra chorizo sausages to the family members.

The pilot did a sudden maneuver in low altitude and he wasn't able to stand the g force and passed out in the middle of the maneuver, but woke up in hell. RiP

Had a lot of forward momentum. What caused it to lose the lift and dive into the ground ? The power to weight ratio favors the engines, it should have been able to power out when it went into the climb . Any pilots out there that can speculate?

That area of Russia has the least experienced pilots, they pulled too many G's too fast, blood went to they're legs..they passed out, did not eject or try to correct..they were unconscious. Total rookie pilot move.
SU-30SM looks like Russian Navy (dark grey colour scheme) Both pilot and navigator dead. No ejection both aircrew are unconscious at this time.

HAL is currently producing the Su-30MKI at an estimated cost of around $62 million per aircraft, which is around $22 million higher than the Su-30 jets supplied by Russia.
The Russian version of the jet costs around $40 million.
