i'm going to try that! i wanted a low-budget beginner project and this is perfect for me. I've never used the drill press in my garage so this is a real new experience for me.
I can't tell you how helpful this video was / is for me as I prepare to build / assemble my first industrial pipe shelves. I only wish I viewed this video BEFORE I placed my industrial pipe component order. I didn't figure on using the 1.5" nipple to join the couplings both above and below the wood shelve. I don't have access to a drill press so I'm hoping I can drill the holes using a hand drill. I also wasn't sure if the thread was supposed to show on each pipe component, but I now see that the standard fit and look. Thank you Timber & Tea.
Love this!!!!! I was so concerned because I’m doing a similar thing and I was so worried when I pulled out the industrial pipes and they were greasy so thank you for explaining how to combat this❤️👍👍👍
ugh I love this and I love that everything for this project is listed, but it's literally more to build it yourself than to just buy all the materials in a 'kit' off amazon. The 10''x1/2'' nipple is 9.05$ that's.... over 90$ Amazon has the whole shelving unit on sale for 107$
absolutely. someone else just shared their material costs: $131.50 after tax excluding the wood. I'm going to figure out exactly what mine was and ill post it.
you bought ready make pipies right? do you know how i can cut and make my own pipie lenthgs? do you have any videos for that? maybe some other youtube channel?
Did you end up tightening those pipe fitting with hand tools or are they just hand tight? I have heard the strength of them is more in how tight the joints are
You say that we need (10) 10in nipples but the completed diagram you show on 1:15 only shows (8) 10in nipple being used. I even measured 64” using only (8) 10in nipples and it checks out. The list you show on 2:36 says we 10, though. Am I doing this wrong?
Perfect Video! Short, clear close up visual and shopping list. Excellent!
I live for this video! Straight to the point, informative, and she provides all the materials required!
aww thanks for the positive comments and thanks for watching!! :D
I’ve seen a number of your videos. Making a steampunk lamp now. You’re a natural on camera. Thank you for your help and enjoyable disposition.
aw thanks Leo! did you make your steampunk lamp??

That's too pricey for me...the pipes ended up more than a hundred bucks. no way. i still think it's a great idea but man it's not for me...
agreed! its a great project for beginners, but not exactly cheap!
Woow, great work!!! Thank you so much for the inspiration🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🤩🤩🤩👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Love everything you make but really love the look of this shelf! You made it look SUPER easy too!
The best part about this DIY shelf is that anyone can make it with just a few simple tools.
Looks amazing! Cant wait to install it 😁
You mean can't wait for me to install it ... 😂😂😂

How much to build that shelving? You got the gears turning!👍😁
What was the total cost to make this ? Can you start including that in you videos at the end ?
absolutely. someone else just shared their material costs: $131.50 after tax excluding the wood. I'm going to figure out exactly what mine was and ill post it.
@@TimberTea do you have any idea what that number was?
Oof

What do the bottoms of the shelf look like. Does it end back to the wall or have feet to sit on the floor?
Did you end up tightening those pipe fitting with hand tools or are they just hand tight? I have heard the strength of them is more in how tight the joints are
If using a different depth board, how do you know how long the return nipples should be?
What kind of anchors did you use to hold the shelves? Or is it directly on the studs?
What size of drill bit did you use please? 20mm or 21mm?
How much weight do the shelves support?
Do you have a link to the lumber you used?
Hello! What did you use to paint the wood? and what color?
it is provincial stain by varathane :)
Im confused on the hole size. If you are using 1/2 in pipe, why cut a 7/8 in hole. Isn't that almost twice the size?
I would love to know the cost of this project. Cost of materials?
sounds about right. thanks for sharing!

Yes or No?
Total cost?
Capital O.A

The background music is far too too too too loud, and overpowers the video
Lose the music. Seriously.
