We had a rough lambing this year and only had 4 ewes lambing. My one first time ewe completely prolapsed. After 2 vet visits, we had to put her down last night. If it wasn't for Sandy, and what I have learned from her, I think that I would give up. Thank you Sandy for your wonderful hard work and videos.
I know nothing about sheep but I know a lot about loss, I am sorry you are having such a hard time this year. Stay with it dreams do come true. Best wishes.❤
Thank you. We are doing a lot of re-evaluations. Thankfully the lambs are doing great. Although I did end up with 3 bottle babies. We will definitely keep going with hopefully improvements.
Deepest sympathies. Anyone who has had sheep has had years like that, it’s always hard but I think when you have just a few it’s more personal. Hang in there.
My son is in FFA and they had a pretty bad year at his school with the lambs too. A first time mom had a 16 lbs lamb and prolapsed but they were able to save her and she's fine now even showed at the fair two weeks ago. My sons sheep (leased from the club) died from from Toxemia we were able to save the babies and kept her limping along for almost 6 weeks. My son was feeding her all kinds of stuff the vet recommended but she wasn't getting any better.
I just wondered how many of us cried too seeing Jess finish her chemo. Especially when I saw Jack crying and Mark. Jess, may your darkest days be over now and your future be filled with health, peace, love, and laughter xxx I
I just LOVE when a sheep looks at her newly born lamb and then back at you as if to say, "look - I have a baby"!!! It's just so precious!!! The little black lamb is just adorable!!! I really feel for that poor first-time mama with a baby lamb that's almost as big as she is!!! lol
I have no idea what's going on or how I got here, but that dog is doing the absolute most. Idk if he or she is doing it well, necessarily, but couldn't possibly be doing more. Excellent jumping and top notch level of excitement, if nothing else. Well done, dog. You're a hard worker.
I just started watching too and am obsessed with that little streak of black and white hopping and bopping all over the place. We used to have a border collie and they are just electric with energy!
I love seeing some of the ewes look at sandy completely morified with what the just made. And then some of them look at her like kids showing her a picture like "Mom mom, look what i did!!!" 🥰
