I started training at 4, been in tournaments, learnt many styles, I'm 33 now and all I seen in your video was a good chance to drop you right to your ribs or a kidney shot or even put you in a choke hold as you left yourself so open that you could fit a truck through that gap.
Never rush someone coming at you, running away is okay, you live to fight another day, but if you have no choice, observe the stance, foot work, what leg is weaker, what points are open, what part will move first from them to predict what part of their body they are about to use to hit you, understand people can always bluff a hit so be prepared.
With a English and German family, I was taught alot and when things like this happen for me, everything slows down.
If you try to swing over to collect their head, you have so much exposed, even open to them to move to the side and drop a cut right to your jaw and watch you go down.
Train for every outcome, don't be afraid of the person that can perform a hit after one try, be afraid of the person that has done that same move thousands of times even though they already know it and remain calm.

Carrying a gun changes the way you act and communicate with people, often in a negative manner. There are countless videos of shootings that start with an argument or misunderstanding, escalating into physical confrontations. When you carry a gun and a situation turns physical, you feel compelled to draw your weapon to keep someone from getting too close. That’s the reason for having the gun, right? My point is, why not learn to defend yourself without a gun? Instead of spending 10 hours a week at the gun range learning how to be lethal, spend that time learning self-defense techniques that restrain someone without causing serious harm. I believe carrying a gun can boost one's ego and lead to talking to people without considering the consequences.

No. Boxing is a good way learn how to throw a punch. It is not good in real world situations. Everything ends with grappling. Someone gets tackled, someone gets slammed, very few punches get thrown. Boxing teaches no ground techniques or any form of grappling at all.
You might get lucky and knock your opponent out in the first few seconds, but that is also the only card up your sleeve. Practice Judo. Use the earth itself as a weapon. I guarantee if you slam somebody on a hard surface, they're not getting up again. If they do, call for backup, you're fighting the Terminator.

A few self defence fights I had; knocked out at least 3 people using boxing and once muay Thai elbo when I was grappled from behind and I did an army flip on someone when I was head locked and flipped them over my left shoulder. One time I was demolished and slammed to the ground by a rugby player in a fight and I was gone. So you make some sense and at the same time it’s the situation in hand. Knowing basic boxing skills, learning basic elbow strike skills- one two elbow strikes and playing soccer has helped me get me and my friends out of trouble. One time I got my ass handed to me by the rugby guy. With the soccer/ football part; I had to kick someone in the head for dropping my boxer friend on the ground and he was choking him and my friend was caught and stuck. I used an outside soccer kick To kick him directly in his nose and jaw front on like his face was a soccer ball, knocked him out and released my friend; It was dangerous because I had to make sure I didn’t hit him in the temple to ko him. We couldn’t release him by pulling them apart. You make some sense because I lived these events in the past. Knowing boxing or how to hit , move and duck is better then knowing nothing.

@@jacksonogwindi1653 bro you're talking to a former boxer. Former for a few reasons.
      1. There's no money in it for 99% of boxers. Takes a padded record and a lucky break to even have a chance professionally. Even if you get there, boxing is corrupt on every level of competition.
      2. Boxing only works when you're not getting manhandled. Can't throw hands when your face is being pressed to asphalt and you have no defense besides "squirm"
      3. I'd like to be able to open a beer without horrible arthritis pain in my hands ten years from now. You're gonna break the small bones in your hands to goddamn shit. Learn how to snatch a mfker and slam him on his head, suddenly you don't have risk of boxer fractures.
Knowing how to box is definitely better than nothing, but it's inferior to other combat sports/martial arts that are now widely available. Gyms everywhere bro. Go train and thank me later.
