This guy is the real deal, I've checked out a LOT of different tutors and I can say that his tips are very topical and practical and for the most part, simple.
3:55 into this tutorial i had to literally STOP to say thank YOU Aaron for making a video on this. literally i have struggled with this. but now, you have given me knowledge. thank you thank you thank you. all the way from Germany.
I`m glad, that there are still many Professionals that teach their skills for free. I mean you don't have to but you do. This is just great. Thanks your Sir. We appreciate it!
You are the best. Im practicing my skills in photoshop just by watching your tutorials... i wish you could make videos about illustrator too.. but its alright... you're still the very best... you explain in a very awesome way.. like a teacher, and not like other bunch of youtubers who put some tacky music in the background and don't explain a single thing and just want to make videos. please never stop making videos.
i can watch ur videos over and over again and i still learning new things u r the best photoshop teacher in all world. i hope u keep achieve success in ur life . from egypt with love
Another top tier tutorial. Thanks again! I'm so looking forward to when I have a little extra time and money to get your full course. Soon. If a single tut can advance my skill so much I can only imagine where my skill level will be after taking your full course.
Excellent teaching! This is only my second Phlearn video, but both were superb. Easy to understand, things move quickly, and at least so far (haven't done the paid pro version), didn't even cost anything.
Hello Aaron, you are the first person i like & i'm watching phlearn channel since 2012. All the photoshop skills i learned from you & i have only one question to ask that, would you tell me which softwares do you use for composting videos that are posted on youtube? Thank you.
Hi Aaron, I'm from Italy and I have to tell you that I improved a lot my skills watching your tuts and i'm so grateful for it. I learned to think in Photoshoppese language and I can do pretty damn everything (compared to 1 year ago). But there's one thing i still can't figure out : is there any way to rasterize or apply the advanced blending options to a new copied layer? Example: on a new level i paint with black and in the advanced blending i drag the white slider to the left to make the black appear where there is black in the underlying layer. Now if I want to rasterize this layer to modify it (move, transform, etc etc) is there a way to do it? Best reguards & go on! Always supporting you Peter
The edges where the selected sky meets the mountain horizons. Often when using the selection tools the edges are not clean and need some work to correct.
Let Photoshop do most of the work, then you can zoom in and manually fix the areas that aren't selected properly. It's not always going to do exactly what you need.
Hi Phlearn, I love your channel and Aaron, awesome detailed explanation. Do you guys do food photography? Can you guys do photoshop tutorial on glossy and smokey fog on top of foods? Thanks!
Thanks for fast response! Although the complete tutes might be too much, as I only wondering to enhance pictures already taken by other people. But nice job! And perhaps it's a good idea to do a little photoshop tricks to lure people into you full length tutes?
Hello Aron I watch a lot of your youtube Photoshop tutorials for a old beginner like me I find them to be excellent tutorials. However, this tutorials got me stuck there is a layer of some sort before the new adjustment / Hue saturation that has got me baffled. Can you please tell what it is and how I can get it. I am in a learning curve with no experience I use Photoshop as a hobby. Please help me with my query. Aron you are very through with explaning the steps to take but this has got big time. Thanking you Salome
PHLearn always learning with you! But i need something that wasn't mentioned in this video! I normally use 2 layers. The background for the land and 1 layer for the sky. On the sky layer i ajust my sky and mask off the land so i can edit it on the background. But, sometimes when i have trees or mountains, the sky behind is VERY difficult to make a good selection and i can see a thin line, normally another color tone because of the editing (parts that are super difficult to mask perfectly with the brush) Tried to the the best with selection and mask, hard and soft brushes but still not getting the perfect result! Any tips? The selection of the sky in the video was very friendly! Thanks
I also use the thumbnail to determine how much vignetting i add to a photo should I want to. That's the best way to see sometimes and it helps do it to your taste which often means not over do it. Vignetting is a nice effect but it should be subtle in my opinion.
Great tutorial as always but if I could improve something that would be making them on smaller screen/lower resolution. Even full screen it's sometimes hard to recognise what you're pressing, on mobile it's unreadable. If you would chose "larger text" in os x "display" setting it would really help. Thanks and keep up with amazing work :)
Hi Aaron! I admire your tutorials. Can I ask you, if you could make a tutorial video about Bi-Directional, Optical Illusion, Photo Portrait? (Combine Side and Front Portrait Shots to Create Optical Illusion) Thanks :)
It seems like the final picture at the end of the video had much more color than when it was showing him editing it, especially the sky. Was something else done to the image?
Thank you! Great tutorial! Do you have any tutorial on how to blend images in one composition? For instance if you cut someone from a photo taken on the street and paste it on a field, how do you make it look realistic. Is there a good tutorial on this subject? (feathering, lightning, adjusting colors, curves?)
I'm trying to change gray skies to blue. I am following your tips, cluck on the gray sky, but it is changing the pants. Then I will start over and it is changing the grass or a shirt. How do I fix this?
GREAT CHANNEL. subd ;} can you do a video on how to fit images into specific shapes like a circle photo image into heart shape while maintaining the image not just back masking it.. thank you all the way from London
Hi Aaron, just bought another one of your pro tutorials. You clock always shows 7-8 AM in the morning and your voice sounds very sleepy in the beginning. So my question is: do you normally wake up that early or don't go to be before you put together a Pro Tutorial?

Thank you very much for this tutorial. Greetings 😊❤
Nice simple edits to achieve a pleasing image. What is the best way to refine the edges when you have selected the sky?
Frank Cornfield What do you mean by refine edge?
The edges where the selected sky meets the mountain horizons. Often when using the selection tools the edges are not clean and need some work to correct.
Let Photoshop do most of the work, then you can zoom in and manually fix the areas that aren't selected properly. It's not always going to do exactly what you need.

Aaron is more of a later afternoon recorder. Not a morning person! Kind of slowly builds into his day.
Hi, would you be able to do a tutorial on how to create a photo with a desaturated, fine art look like those done by Rocco Ancora
What mic are you using?
can you share me how to edit video in your tutorials ...
I don't see the link for the image download to follow along with you. :(
Here you go: Download the sample image: phlearn.com/color-landscape-photos-photoshop
Thank you!
