Something I forgot to state in this video - in Know Your Fusion, Pearl was the lowest on the "You Like This Little Man?" Power scale but the only one on there who wasn't a fusion. This means Pearl is the strongest non fusion gem on the team.

I believe Rose shattering Pink Diamond happened early in the rebellion phase. The experience was so traumatizing that Rose made the conscious decision to never shatter another gem ever again. That's why she was against using Bizmuth's Breaking Point despite having shattered Pink Diamond before.
That actually makes the most sense. Rose saw what happened when she shattered pink diamond and most likely decided that they would never shatter another gem (that would explain the bubbling as well)
It's actually likely that Pink Diamond's shattering was the Rebellion's first move. If Pearl really was responsible, it likely would've had to be in the context of an assassination: as PD's Pearl, she would've had enough trust to get in close and take her out with the element of surprise.
Then there's the fact that Blue Diamond was leading the fight against the Rebellion. Why would the presence of another Diamond be necessary unless Earth's Diamond - Pink Diamond - had been killed?

It's both not a big deal and also a big deal. Taking a life is indeed big deal...but you can take a life and still be a good person: say you kill a terrorist before they do something horrible (call to mind "let's roll"), or if you defend your family from a home invasion, or a soldier defending your country...etc. All are ultimately heroic acts. It's still terrible and traumatic, but you did the right thing.

Like it was mentioned in the video, she used pronouns. Plus, there's still the possibility that she didn't know that it was Pearl. The possibility that Garnet wasn't there is very likely.
I'm sure someone has pointed this out, but Eyeball points out Rose's sword, not shield. If Pearl shapeshifted to shatter PD, that would make sense

Just like every single time she reveals something important that could affect him in a deep level,like in "the ocean gem" where she reveals steven that theyve been fighting gems all along cuz they were corrupted and they didnt know how to help them so they bubble them,or how they hesitated to let steven know gems originally invaded earth to gather its resources and destroy it with the cluster project as we got to know in some episodes of season 1 and the cluster arc in season 2.
They are always trying to protect steven,imagine if they told all of that to him since the beggining,poor steven wouldve had a mental break down,theres a time and place for everything

The more important question is HOW did Rose shatter PD? Rose's sword can't shatter gems, and the Breaking Point didn't exist yet.
Rose could have picked up a weapon lying around, and used it to shatter Pink Diamond.
Or rose proofed PD firs

There are other ways to shatter diamonds.
This is really, _really_ long, so I do have a TL:DR at the bottom. That being said, here goes:
*Pink Diamond's shattering had to have happened way later in the timeline. It couldn't have been the start of the war.* If Pink Diamond's shattering was what started the war, then we know exactly where Jasper was: nowhere, because she hadn't even been planted in the ground at that point. Peridot said that the Beta Kindergarten was created in response to the loss of gems due to the rebellion, so Jasper only came out of the ground long after the rebellion had started, and probably near the end of the war, based on our limited knowledge of how long gems incubate. (Amethyst was 500 years late, according to Peridot, and she came out after the end of the war (or else she would have been corrupted), so the Prime Kindergarten gems must have come out when the 1,000 year war was at least halfway over, and the Beta Kindergarten gems would have been much later than that, considering that the Prime Kindergarten has been implied to have been planted before the rebellion started. (Remember what Greg said to Steven about why Rose had betrayed her kind in The Return? Rose started the rebellion in response to the planting of the Prime Kindergarten.)) Since we were told that the Beta was established in response to the rebellion, and that Jasper was made for Pink Diamond (regardless of whether PD had been shattered before Jasper came out, Jasper was created to serve PD), it seems apparent to me that Pink Diamond's shattering was NOT the beginning of the war. After all, Jasper (and the other Beta gems) would have been designed with living Diamonds in mind, such as Yellow, rather than an already-dead Diamond.
*All that having been said, here's my theory.* I'm inclined to believe that Rose really did shatter Pink Diamond, as the show said, but, even if Pearl did it, that doesn't really matter. _Pink Diamond's shattering was the rebellion's final blow._ Up to that point, the rebellion had been annoying and had cost the Authority some good gems, but it had been little more than that. The Authority was confident that, eventually, they would overrun the rebellion and reclaim earth, since the rebellion couldn't really harm the highest levels of the Authority and certainly could not defeat the vast amounts of gems at the Diamonds' disposal. Rose, seeing that the only way to get the Diamonds to leave the earth alone would be to hit them where it counts, decided to shatter Pink Diamond. (Whether Pearl carried out the dirty work is irrelevant, though I think Rose would have enough honor to do it herself rather than command her friend to do it for her.) The Authority, staggering under the blow of Pink's death and realizing that all gems now knew that a Diamond could, in fact, be killed, decided to cut all losses and leave earth with all the dignity of a five-year-old, detonating the corruption meant to infect all gems on earth without even bothering to get all of their own gems off and leaving the Cluster to eventually destroy the earth entirely with the "If I can't have it, no one can," mentality. This theory aligns with what Garnet was saying at the end of Bubbled about how Rose did what was best for earth, not for her. Rose had literally tried everything before she resorted to the very last option: murder. This also aligns with what we've seen of Rose's character. Rose valued all life, even the lives of the Diamonds, and was completely unwilling to shatter anyone, but, finally, she realized that too many gems were dying on both sides, and that it was best to do whatever was necessary to end the conflict, so she took one life to save the lives of gems on both sides of the war, not to mention the humans and other creatures on earth.
*Of course*, this is just my theory, but it's what makes the most sense with all of the evidence. If there's something I missed, either in support or to the contrary, please let me know, and if you believe in the theory that Pink's death started the war and have a counter-argument to mine, I'd love to have a friendly discussion with you in the replies. No one can know for sure, and I know that I am a fallible being. That being said, I'd really love to see what you all have to say in response to this.
*_TL:DR_* Due to what we know about the planting of the Kindergartens and when Amethyst and Jasper came out, combined with the fact that Jasper was made for Pink Diamond, it seems apparent that Pink Diamond's death happened long after the beginning of the war. My counter-theory is that her death was what caused Homeworld to finally retreat. Rose only shattered Pink Diamond as a very last resort, which is consistent with her character without having to try to pin her actions on Pearl.

Please hear me out guys, I truly believe that Pink Diamond is very Kind. Remember before Blue abducted Greg? He asked her if She and Pink were close, and Blue's answer was "VERY". try to imagine a gentle, soft toned, demure, smiling Blue Diamond talking casually with a free spirited, laughing Pink Diamond, wouldn't they look natural? That is why I believe she is not brutal. And I also believe that Rose did not shatter Pink Diamond. Rubies, Sapphires, Pearls or any other gems did not shatter her. Guys according to science a Diamond is the hardest mineral on earth and only a Diamond can lay a scratch to another Diamond, and I believe that law is also applied in Steven Universe, which means Its either Yellow or White Diamond who shattered her. Maybe she was not in favor of the cluster to be planted on Earth which led to their fight and the tragic shattering of Pink, wether on purpose or accidentally. This is my theory..
Ariana Enriquez We haven't met White Diamond yet and don't know her stance on Pink Diamond's death yet so I find that possible, putting off the blame on a Quarts gem would be easy to do and a ruby like Eyeball has proven to be easily fooled, and a diamonds influence would make the lie all the more believable to her. Yellow Diamond seemed to at least miss Pink, and mourn for her in her own way. So White Diamond being the culprit makes the most sense to me

Sommer Looney they just framed Rose Quartz because if two of the Diamonds (wether Yellow and Blue or White and Blue) would know that one of their sisters was killed then there might be a 1 vs 2 Diamond battle.
Ariana Enriquez It's quite possible that White Diamond's personality clashed with Pink's and she actually prevented Pink from having colonies in the first place because she may have felt she was incompetent or the most unworthy of the Diamonds, which could explain why she only had one colony. The reason behind the shattering could've corresponded with her believing Pink Diamond had made a mistake with her colony, or maybe the rebellion had proved her incompetence to her. She took a chance and no one would question it when it was said that the leader of the rebellion, who was once a member of the Pink court, shattered the Diamond that threatened the world she fought for.

This doesn't relate to the video, but I found something out. In the episode, Rose's Room, Steven's gem opens up, well, Rose's Room. Notice how in the end of the episode when Steven falls out in the abyss of the fake beach city, the tiny floating whale says: "What do you want, Steven?" And how when the pink whale speaks, it's voiced by Rose's voice actor. What if Rose's room is the only place where steven can "communicate" with Steven? If you could add more evidence, could you possibly make this a Crystal Clear episode? Thanks!

It's possible that she shattered Pink Diamond to start the rebellion, but regretted it so much that she never wanted to do it again.

But Jasper would have known about Pink Diamond's shattering, and she fought during the rebellion. I doubt she would show as much fealty to the Diamond she belonged to as she did in "Earthlings" if that Diamond shattered before she came out. And she was made after the rebellion started because the Eyeball Ruby relates anecdotes that Jasper "was born with her helmet on and took out 80 Crystal Gems before the sun went down". She would have had to have known Pink Diamond for some time at least to develop such a strong loyalty. Therefore Pink Diamond would have had to have been shattered during or nearing the end of the Gem War.
She fought during the rebellion. Pink Diamond's death lead to the rebellion. It's entirely possible that Jasper was made RIGHT before the rebellion. It's also entirely possible to see a shattered pink diamond and think it was Rose who did it. Really, at this point, no one can say for sure who exactly did it because it was just mentioned.
rose did say that gems are just born (made)knowing what they have to do and based on some dialogue before jasper got corrupted and when peridot was showing amethyst and steven different holes of jaspers and whe came to our jasper it seems she was specifically made to fight and shatter rose which would explain her fixation on rose. So it is possible she was made after pink diamond was shattered.

They did plenty of colonization before Pink Diamond even existed though. All of the other Diamonds have several planets, whereas Pink only has the Earth.

Chill guys, this is just speculation based off the little that we see of and about the diamonds. And for clarification, I meant pink diamond was in charge of finding the planets, not neccessarily converting them to gem colonies. I just couldn't think of the right word

One thing about Garnet, she protects Steven from things she doesn't think he should know. So it still is a possibility that Garnet knows, and she would be protecting Steven from finding out that PEARL, one of the most prominent mother figures of his life, was actually the one who did it, he could be scared forever

What he's saying is everyone thinks that Rose did it. That Rose and Pearl lied to everyone. Pearl was the only one who didn't openly admit it. She dodged the question a bit.

The new episode Gemcation makes this statement even more possibly valid
So my thought when I saw the title of this video was actually that Pearl shattered Pink Diamond in order to defend Rose from an attack in the heat of battle or something. Imagine that there's a fight, a battle at the highest level of Gem Government. Rose and Pearl are fighting side by side, and Pink Diamond sees an opportunity to strike. Pearl spots the attempt at the attack just soon enough to lift or throw her spear up at Diamond's gem, shattering it, and possibly even getting pooffed by P. Diamond in the process. This leaves Rose Quartz as the lone remaining figure over the shards of a Diamond, leading Eyeball to believe that Rose had committed the act. Eyeball's eye witness account must be examined with the assumption that it is incomplete and biased, as most eye witness accounts are. That's what I think could have happened anyways.

Like this theory is pretty trash, Garnet and Eyeball have both stated that it was Rose herself who was the one who shattered Pink Diamond.
and in case TR reply, I've watch the video and like nothing is properly is explained. You're doing what everyone did with various theories and taking shots in the dark with only half evidence to back it up. There's no reason that actually makes sense that it would have been pearl who did the deed.
Rose was supposedly seen by Eyeball and the entirety of gem culture seems to have decided that it was definitely Rose that did the dirty, Garnet may be playing the pronoun game, but not directly, only when you take that sentence and absolutely nothing else from the clip could it be left open. They were talking (quite precisely) about did ROSE really do it, did ROSE really shatter her.
There's a reason Pearl may not like shapeshifting and it could very well be the fact that for pearl, everything has to be perfect and therefore shapeshifting would take away from that, it could be the same reason as Pdot that she simply just doesn't like it or it could just be that she's never had a reason to. Her being shaken up about PD being shattered also makes perfect sense, much like the reason Garnet was upset but again Pearl ALWAYS goes for a more dramatic route. Her shock is for the obvious reason, she adores Rose more than anything and she loves Roses son almost as much, and then right in front of Rose's son her name is defiled from what Steven knows, imagine how that would have felt to Pearl? Knowing that her secret to save Rose's name for Steven just got let out just like that.
The ONLY hope that this theory could EVER work on is the idea that the ONLY witness was Eyeball AND his vision was blurred and as a result she could only a silhouette and assumed it was Rose.
The evidence isn't in your favor in the slightest, just a bunch of moments that have been unexplained, had a explanation forced on them mixed in with some half-truthes.

+Luke Killerman we don't know that. honestly I think he's wrong. it was obviously extremely early in the war. Lapis Lazuli was there, so it was before the battle at Strawberry Battlefield. Plus, it seems the only Crystal Gems are Rose and Pearl. it makes sense that Garnet would be the first to join other than R and P. I don't think Rose just SUDDENLY had an army, it would've happened slowly. so, The Answer probably took place BEFORE Pink Diamond got shattered. On a side note, my theory is the last thing to happen was Pink Diamond being shattered. it makes sense that the Diamonds would call their troops back after that. So, that's what I think

Pearl wouldn't let Rose take the blame, because she wants people to see Rose as the hero Pearl sees her as. Shattering a Diamond wasn't heroic in Steven's mind.

Peridot made mistakes, but saw the error in her ways and repented, just like Lapis. Jasper was certain to the very end that she was in the right, that she would not be manipulated, so she did not see her errors as errors.
In a war situation, you need to make decisions that are not nice or friendly, because that seems like the only way at the time. It would be infinitely more interesting if Rose took a life, understood that what she did was wrong and stopped doing that altogether. Change is a theme in the show, so it fits.
This is a very supported theory, I believe it and I really hope we can learn more about Rose and the gem war soon because that and fusion is my favourite part of the story line at the moment

4. Bismuth (Probably not that strong without her weapons, but definitely stronger than Pearl)

6. Steven Universe (Got much stronger by start of Season 4)
7. Amethyst (Short Quartz)

9. Peridot (Without tech but with metal powers)
10. Ruby (Built for fighting, but only in numbers)
11. Sapphire (High ranking, built for future sight not for fighting, but can easily escape due to fast speed)
Pearl is 5th out of 11 current non fusion, non diamond gems. Jasper and Lapis, who are probably weaker than the Diamonds, can beat Pearl almost effortlessly. And Rose probably shattered PD, but was haunted by it so she decided never to shatter another gem again. Also, Garnet herself said that Rose shattered PD, and Garnet has future vision. Eyeball said that she saw it herself. Pearl is not strong enough to shatter a Diamond.

While i like this theory, i think i would prefer if Rose was actually the one to shatter her. Like you said, everyone has this perfect image of Rose, she could do no wrong. But i think it would make her character more interesting if she did shatter pink diamond, then she wouldn't be the perfect Rose everyone /thinks/ they know and love, if Rose ends up being a morally grey character instead to show that no one is purely good or bad, that in this war gems had to do some things they wouldn't normally do. Great theory though :)
Also i would just like to add, if Steven can push Eyeball out of his bubble to save himself and let Eyeball go floating off into space, then Rose can shatter someone to save everyone else.

Before I say this I just like to say I don't hate the Roundtable. I'm just stating how flawed this theory is. And yes I watched the whole video.
Most of your "points" are just guesses at quotes with no weight to them. And the fact that you actually think the show is going to go in this direction is ignorant. If they were to take direction, it would destroy Bismuth, Earthlings, Back to the moon, & Bubbles point. To show Rose's dark side and show how she isn't a perfect being. Steven excepting what rose done would be thrown completely out the window.
There is no actual evidence to Pearl shattering pink diamond. Pearl can hate shape shifting because she's a perfectionist. Shape shifting would ruin that. And garnet saying "she" was clearly talking about rose because Steven asks why rose killed pink diamond. What rose did caused this show exist. "For Pearl to be free. For amethyst to be herself. For me to be me. For you to exist." Not the exact lines but you get what I'm saying.
This theory literally stops the development of rose. Not to mention there really is not evidence other than guesses. You can't say Ruby was the only gem who saw it. The diamonds knew about it, Jasper knew about it, all of Homeworld knew about it and they knew who done it. Rose Quartz did it

No. Everyone keeps coming up with random theories to excuse Rose's actions, but it needs to stop. Rose. Shattered. Pink. Diamond. Ruby saw it, Garnet knows it was her, and we had two episodes about Steven dealing with the fact that she did it. Well, to those of you saying Rose is Pink Diamond, or that Pearl shattered her, I have one thing to say: it was war. People have do horrible things during war. She may have been her best friend, or greatest creation, but no matter what someone says, she killed her. Nobody else had the power, skill, and army to do so, and Rose, before Back to the Moon, was always a complete Mary Sue, so she NEEDS a dark side. Stop making excuses!

Ah, I wish we knew the answer already but I'm also enjoying all those little clues we're given. Now if only the episodes were coming more often, and more importantly - regularly.
Many people seem to forget that Rose is a Quartz soldier. She wasn't always the caring and maternal Gem she is portrayed as. She lied to her friends about Bismuth. She led the rebellion and fought on head lines. More to Rose's violent personality is unknown, but she has one.

I don't think it'd be possible for Rose to use breaking point. The stuff in The Answer was stated to take place 5750 years ago, assuming Blue Diamond was dealing with the rebellion because Pink Diamond was already shattered, and Bismuth and Rose Quartz had their confrontation over breaking point 5300 years ago.

That isn't exactly shape shifting. When a gem gets poofed, they spend time in their gem, and possible reform if they like. That means their physical body or their clothes. In Pearl's case, it was only clothes. She never changed her physical body in the slightest, they was someone does when they shape shift.

Rose is bigger than a gem of one type and if you notice rose kind of knew about fusion when she saw garnet and nobody knows what happens when a gem fuses with another gem that have gems in the same spot like permanent or semi permanent fusion or what every gem rose was before absorbing pink diamond made it so that they became one.all other quarts gems name isn't two worlds like jasper, amethyst, etc. Smoky quarts is a fusion and is two gems. and if you think about it, rose quartz have two words in her name just like smoky quartz and even if she is made up of two gems, well a gem and diamond. no one knows what happened with a permanent fusion or gem and diamond fusion.

Or that's just the color combination the designers gave her to stand out. Search "Pearls" in Google Image and you'll see they come in various shades (white, pink, slightly cyan, kind of gold, etc.) and all of those colors are represented in her outfit.
A gem's clothing doesn't necessarily represent allegiance. Amethyst has white in her outfit, that doesn't mean she was affiliated with White Diamond.
