Yeh Rubies, Padparadscha, Sapphires, Emeralds are all rarer than diamond. Diamond's value is in how it's the hardest gemstone, can't be scratched/cut by anything else, and since hardness is on a relative scale of rank that means Diamond is the highest ranking gemstone.

What if The Diamonds are just a part of 4 higher gem courts like how playing cards have 4 courts. Having the Diamond Gems, the Heart Gems (Like New Villain), Spade Gems, and Club/Clover Gems. I know it's pretty much crazy, but it's possible.

What if she was made in a Era by Pink Diamond since pink didn't have a pearl or a planet yet, She made spinel behind The other diamonds back resulting in them not knowing her. Pink made her as a result in a pearl but she might of took longer than pink expected Pink lost motivation and left she emerged after pink left Spinel/Pink Zirconia found out her Diamond and thinks pink abandoned her.
