The quick transfer of critical info between the pilots and controllers always scares me, pilots from different countries with different accents rapidly communicating, I don't understand how accidents don't happen everyday.

The Q 400 in a crosswind has no idea how to land in across wind. Obviously the 1st officer flying. In a Crosswind a crab is maintained maintained until the flare at which time you switch to a slide slip and touch down with the upwind wheel 1st.Back to school

And the moisture in the air, and blah blah blah. And depending on the atmosphere. You can have 3 different types of contrails 🤗 Anyway. Those guys could look it up if they wanted to. But you got the most probable reason Right 👍

Also, you may even consider, what is often called a "light aircraft carrier" for helo's and VSTOL's a sub set of the aircraft carriers, but helo type carriers are pretty porky not as much as a "fixed wing" carrier, but much bigger than the normal surface ship. Many of the surface ships, tenders, destroyers, frigates, guided missile cruisers... have aft end flight decks. from the width of the pic presented here at 8:49, I would bet my house on that being the aft end of one of the above "surface ships". Because the helo is not he prime system of the vessel it is not a part of it's designation. Most likely a cruise.

Catastrophic wing spar failure. Very likely resulting from a crack that went undetected, & propagated for some time. The 'G' loading at time of failure did not look to be very high. Corrosion at a high stress point is often the culprit.

DC3 looks like undercarriage not engine failure. You switch the engines off and glide in to save the engine and props.
