I’m guessing they are using 10-20lb plates they are really thin and have cutouts in the middle. They just use heaps of plates. Trying to make it for tv by the looks with the setup and atmosphere.
it looks cooler that way in terms of visual appeal, in many comps the weights are far more dense and thin.
