When I learned that Martian Manhunter is comparable to Superman in overall power-scaling, I knew BB wasn’t that far behind. Just untapped potential waiting to be shown.
But I don’t read comics I only watch animated shows and read throughs like this so I may not even know what I’m talking about 🤷🏾♂️
The good things about this comic are Raven talking to Donna Troy about wanting to defeat Amanda Waller, Nightwing and Peacemaker having a fight, and Nightwing telling Amanda Waller about the Beast World Situation.
The missed opportunity should’ve include Wally talking about Chester P. Runk since Chester is dead and is Wally’s friend.
The bad things about this comic are the Amanda Waller evil plot and knowing who Doctor Hate is (in which that person is evil Raven because rehashing or recycling various Titans storylines as foreshadowed in Tom Taylor’s Nightwing run).
Everytime Waller causes an event she's one step closer to getting the maxwell lord treatment.
DC still needs that ESG/Israeli money, dont count on it

Maxwell lord was once a trusted friend and ally of the justice league international but he betrayed the JL and killed a member of the Justice league, ted kord. After some events, Maxwell Lord was defeated and WW was left with no choice but to kill lord when he tried to mind control superman.

My only issue with beast war is that the Titans have been the world's main heroes for all of five minutes. This just BETTER not end poorly for their image or give us another forced disbandment. Also Waller's gone full mustache twirling. I've always assumed she has "some" morals, but she's just willing to compromise them to achieve what she thinks needs to be done to keep people and the world (but mainly her US) interests, safe. She was the millitaristic presence we all hate, but not just evil. Here the endgame is just to be in the driver's seat? She's literally working with the lords of Chaos! I don't get it. I feel like there are ways to undermine the Titans that don't cause so much death and destruction so close to home.
I suppose she made a deal with Chaos to give the heroes a crisis and tried to kill Garro to make up for creating something that was less concentrated than she intended. Waller wants to prove to the world that the heroes are incompetent and unnecessary. It may lead to a bigger event. There might be some inspiration drawn from the Cadmus Arc from JLU

I don't think there's anything weird about what Waller is or has done. She always had the attitude that if she was pulling the strings, she could do better. She's always lied, abused her power, gotten people killed, and in her head it's always for "the greater good." But people like her always think like that, and they always end up despots. They don't trust anyone, they break rules they force everyone else to follow, they always end up a dictator. Their ideas of a better world are centered around them, they think they could do better, that they would do better, that they are what's best for the world. She's just in the end stage of her ideology
I do somewhat disagree a little bit. I always thought Amanda Waller was an evil character. But as you mentioned someone who is looking out for the interests of the US government. But this story does seem to exaggerate Amanda Waller in ways that even goes against the interests of the US government
That reveal at the end just made things a whole lot darker because when she took off her helmet and showed Beast Boy/Garro, her face, later when he called out "Raven!" Was he calling Raven or yelling at Dr. Hate? Also, with Raven saying that when she was in Beast Boy's/Garro's mind when she said that he was thinking about everyone else about the affect that his death would have on everyone, it then makes you wonder, was he worried about how they would feel, or was he worried about how it would all affect Raven against everyone else? That reveal just made this darker.

The Evil side of Raven being in control of the helmet of Dr. Hate is something I thought wasn't possible...but dammit, I'm curious where this is going to go. Also, I think Bruce would support Dick on this decision because let's face it... Bruce would do the exact same thing Dick is doing, if not even more so than what Dick is doing if Bruce found out that Waller essentially went rogue.

Ravens one of my favorite fictional characters EVER If they do this right this can mean big things for her, legit ravens m entire story has revolved airing being in conflict and suppressing her darker half. They should FINALLY make them merge for good and put this evil side/turning evil to bed for good cementing herself with full control of her powers light and dark. She can maybe get a power boost or even a new form 😭🙏🏻 it’s finally lead to some new story’s for her which I’d LOVE

Hey Benny, how are you? Was wondering if you could do a video about Batman: The Knight? I was very intrigued about something in the story I think with your voice acting/soundtrack would be great. Unless you got too much on your hands for the next few months.
The picture for the next issue you can see a green bird on the cover, so it is most likely that Beast Boy is coming back. Which, I'll be honest, I hate it. Now don't get me wrong, I like Beast Boy, but DC has been doing really well lately with killing off Dead Man and adding actual stakes to the stories, giving it more drama and loss amongst the heroes and the fans, and that was so good! Now with the whole Beast World event, it was so amazing, they made Beast Boy turn on everyone and they actually killing him off, (in more ways than one. What I mean is that Dr. Hate whipped Garro's mind, so she kind of killed off Beast Boy in a mental/psychological sense, and then they actually kill him off). Also I like it when heroes become villains, because there are a lot of redemption arcs for villains like Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy, Catwoman, Clayface, Killer Croc, Bizzaro, and others, but you never get the opposite where heroes become villains, and even if you do it is in another universe or timeline like Injustice or Future Imperfect. Either that or even if a hero does turn evil in the main continuity it is only temporary and everything goes back to the status quo, and with the redemption arcs of villains you will have more heroes than villains to where you will have more heroes than villains. Which you will have to make more villains, which I love, I love new characters. However, I still want stuff like that heroes becoming villains, because it pays tribute to the statement, "You either die a hero, or you live long enough to see yourself become a villain." That is why I want to see more stuff like Beast Boy becoming evil.
What I wish would happen with Beast Boy is, if he does come back, then still make him a villain. Like picture this:
One of the Garro spores grows into a new Garro, or they take the arm of Garro and it grows into a new Garro, and with his lore about him losing a part of his mind when parts of him get killed, have this new Beast Boy just be a blank slate, because the main Garro and most of his spores were killed it took away huge chunks of his mind to where he is essentially brand new. It won't be the original Beast Boy, it would be like Beast Boy Jr. Who knows and remembers nothing. Not his past. Not his friends and family. Not who or what he is. He is just like a new born baby. And they do something like some big smart villain like Vandal Savage takes in this new Beast Boy and teaches him his ways and stuff just like his own children and this Beast Boy is loyal to him and joins the villains. And even if he finds out about the previous Beast Boy he is just not that person anymore. So he stays with the villains. So it becomes a dramatic twist to where the villains gain a member and the heroes lose a member. I want to see something like that.
However, if they don't do that and they bring Beast Boy back as his original hero self, then I would wish for something else to happen. For example, picture this:
They established that Cyborg cannot be infected or taken control of the spores because half of his mind is machine, so they can build on that to where he gets infected with something, maybe more Mother/Father Box technology or nanobots or something like that and that progresses his mechanical physiology and it either makes him fully synthetic, or it converts enough of him to machine to where the part of his mind that has emotion and cognition and things like that are converted and gone to where he has no emotions or humanity anymore and he just views himself as the superior lifeform with a purpose to improve and improve the world with how weak physically and mentally/emotionally that flesh beings are on some sky net type of sh!t and he wages war on the world/universe converting himself to become fully synthetic and hacking into the military and all other devices on the planet so he has access to the various weapons and drones of certain military organizations and maybe villain/criminal organizations and also gets access to various thinks like data from Batman, Nightwing, and Amanda Waller along with a few others about the strengths and weaknesses of the various heroes and villains along with the contingency plans on how to take them out and he battles them with advanced technology along with accessing the Phanthom Zone Projector and Lantern rings which he hacks, takes control of, and reprogram them and he also integrates them into his own design to become more powerful and to counter things like Raven sending him to the Phanthom Zone and he uses the Phanthom Zone Projector to get out, and different things like that. Apart from having advanced technology like military drones to attack the heroes he takes resources from Earth and beyond in the universe to make robots in quick succession to where even if the heroes fight the army of robots it is a war of attrition where they are getting weared down by the endless multiple producing units, and he takes people and corpses and turns them into cyborgs just having more and more forces on his side, and they just have this big threat to deal with. Maybe he even captures City Boy and uses him to maximize his power to make endless cities and factories to build his robot army and his cyborg army and endless weapons and ships and just a bunch of strong forces to challenge the heroes who are not nothing, because of the data and contingencies by people like Batman and Nightwing and Amanda Waller the robots are output with ways to deal with the various heroes and villains just like the Sentinals from the X-Men in Marvel, and with City Boy that would lead to people like Swamp Thing and Poison Ivy getting involved and it would just be like even if Batman and the others destroy a factory then another will just be made because of City Boy and Cyborg even makes underground factories to where everyone will be stretched thin dealing with the various factories and they all can't stop all of them especially with more being created and repeared quickly with City Boy, and Cyborg also makes and has other factories out in space, and it is just a big universal threat where some of the heroes die just like the mutants from the Sentinals. Even if he gets defeated the human side of Cyborg with just be gone, he will be all machine, fully synthetic, with no emotion or humanity or nothing. Cyborg would officially be dead and he will never come back. All that is left is the machine. Something big like that is what I want to see.

You know, at this point actually giving characters like Raven & Spiderman some nice long stable happily ever afters would be the only thing that could actually usurp expectations and leave us all shocked. Some writers just lean in to hard on this shit.

Waller is a lot more evil than I'd like. I always thought of her as an asshole type of person who'd "do what needed to be done" to keep the world safe, but at this point she's purposely causing chaos and destruction just to put herself in the driver's seat. Even more so ticked off a character like peace maker is just going along with it. Even back in the day he was the inspiration for the comedian so I get the assholery and going too for, but usually it's for a kinda reasonable cause. Here it's just for Waller's whims.

Crisis attempted to kill nightwing. Forever evil killed nightwing for 5 minutes. Heroes in crisis destroyed Wally. Flashpoint erased wally. Titans forever killed cyborg. Donna Troy died in a crisis I think. Beast boy was shot in the head by deathstroke during that recent event. Now he’s dead for real in this event. Raven is now going to save bestboy and sacrifice herself watch.
This is why I can't stand "Heroes," they are SUCH COWARDS! Always letting the bad guys live with some dumbass excuse like: "That's not what Gar would want," pretty sure what Gar would want is to not be dead.
He probably wouldn't like that because if she did went through with her emotions she could pretty damn easily cause an apocalypse for earth if not the whole damn universe. And Garfield knew the stakes when this happened. High possibility of death just not the way he though. I am with you on most heroes though just not on this one particular one

Good Doctor Hate reveal. I like the build up to Waller being the villain she always was meant to be.
She really shouldn't be though. Misguided, power hungry, more paranoid than Batman, domineering, yes. Outright evil, no. Takes depth away from her character to do that. She's more interesting when she's complicated and just a complete jerk as opposed to outright evil.

As happy as i am to see beast boy get the limelight and a power up this type of conflict is why i left comics. At this point just kill waller. Her actions have warranted her being dead because she caused the deaths of so many. But that would break comic book logic but my immersion is broken at this point.

@@user-td2jw9ze2c no just cause the beast thing. DC wanted to turn everyone in DC into beast or animal forms. That’s Circe’s whole thing. And tbh Circe is one of Wonder Woman’s main foes so she’d be able to put up a good fight. Not on her own but she uses magic to turn people into animals and then have them do her bidding. Raven would overcome her still but could’ve been a better explanation for beast boy going rogue and stuff.

Well, to be fair. Waller is a government official. That's why Batman is so hesitant to go after her when it comes to the suicide squad. However, since she essentially teamed up with a bad guy to pull a JLU Lex Luthor and even more so to make the good guys look bad. I don't think that would sit well with even most villains as well. Bruce would agree with Dick that the best course of action was to negotiate first before having Cyborg to hack into the drones because, like I said. It's something he would do and more so
