A Peter that is genuinely angry is literally one of the most terrifying things in Marvel. The dude is basically an apex predator that is constantly holding back the urge to just start murdering criminals

Something someone pointed out to me in Superhero stories that I found interesting is, on average, the heroes are always stronger. I’m not referring to being morally stronger, even thought that is the case usually, especially in more traditional stories. I speak in terms of pure capabilities. They are always stronger, always faster, always smarter, always more skilled, always the superior force in the conflict on some level, the thing that holds them back, the thing that stops every fight from being a curb stop, or at the very least ending in them maiming someone, is that they are holding back because of their moral codes. They aren’t going for the throat, they aren’t trying to kill or maim, they are trying to end the conflict with the minimal level of violence necessary. On a certain level this is simply the escalation ladder at play, you don’t open with all guns blazing because that encourages people to respond in kind. Even if you don’t care about the people you’re fighting, if you care about everything and everyone around the fight, you shouldn’t encourage that type of response. Which is why I find it really dumb you have villains who try to goad them into going further up the ladder, to be more aggressive, to kill their opponents, either because they think they somehow win by getting heroes to throw away the rule book, or because they someone never realize “this person has kicked my ass a hundred times already even though I’ve been trying to kill them and I am only still alive because they haven’t”. And it always immensely satisfying to see villains like that realize they’ve been poking a bear.

I love seeing everyone's reactions to when Peter doesn't hold back. You can't beat him. You only get as close as you do because he ALLOWS you to. Because he actually CARES about YOU. If he wanted to, he could snap all of his villains in half like a toothpick. But that moral code you love to harp on is the only reason you're still breathing. And yet they always forget. Just like the village doctor, they take his heart for granted until it's gone.

I actually remember reading that comic several years ago. I can remember thinking the entire time "So this is what Spider-Man is like when he lets the monster out." The memory of that comic will stick with me until the day I die, as a reminder that at the end of the day, no matter how we try to deny it, deep down, we all have a monster inside us.

A man with nothing to lose, is the most dangerous he will ever be. Take that to heart cause Peter is definitely the most hurt character in marvel

If that was the case he won't have any villains left to fight they will be all six feet under

I honestly like it when Heros actually end the villians instead of letting them get away basically Scot free, especially villians like Kingpin who won't ever spend a day in jail because he has good lawyers

I read the full comic and You know what....
    Respect for kingpin.
He took a prolonged beatdown with Petey not holding back, but managed to not only get up several times, not only managed to hold on to a few teeth, but continued to be able to speak understandable English for several rounds.
Dude's almost as resilient as Logan

This comic definitely showed something that Peter almost never shows: How hopelessly outmatched regular, non-powered criminals are against him. It isn't even a challenge to him. His strength has been measured between 20 tons to 100 tons. His reflexes, speed, senses, weapons, intelligence, all combined make him almost God level in combat. The only thing Criminals had going for them was Peter's sense of mercy. His humanity. He was just a good person in general who tried to hurt people as little as possible. Kingpin brought this on himself. He hurt one of two people that could make Peter completely let go of his good side.

when the spider stops talking, when the spider stops jokeing, when the spider stays silent... thats when you need to start being concerned, thats when you need to be afraid.

We need more moments of when he didn't hold back its so nice to see him using 100% than that crappy law of batman and the hero code, go rogue once in a while😂😂

It’s funny that most of Spider-man’s adversaries have no idea that he never even comes close to using his full strength against them. They don’t realize that he could one-shot most of them, and only doesn’t because he’s worried about hurting them.
