Thank you so much; this is crazy because I once watched your video about Blood Red Meridian, which inspired me to purchase and read it. You played a part in my obsession with Westerns. Thanks!! :D

@@AnAverageReader07 That's really humbling to hear! Not sure I've never heard someone say that before - especially since I don't think I've read a single Western since I read that book. I sincerely hope you enjoyed the video. Looking forward to seeing what you do with your new channel!

I started Murakami with Dance, Dance, Dance followed by Norwegian Wood

I actually ended up dnfing Before the Coffee Gets Cold (partly as I didn’t enjoy the characters, partly due to the translation actually - it felt quite literal to me). I think you may enjoy Convenience Store Woman, by Sayaka Murata, which touches on interesting themes of Japanese society and fitting into it (the main character is obviously autistic, although I don’t think it’s stated explicitly); of Murakami I’ve actually only read the Strange Library, which was a fun, quick read.

Ah, thank you! I've added Kafka to my wishlist. My birthday is in two weeks, so I'm hoping someone will get it for me then. 😅
