They have created awareness without any government aid even now. The government should do something for artists who are working for the benefits of society selflessly. When we are ready to give tax payer's money to actors who come to Odisha just to show their faces, is it not right to do something for the Odia artists who have given so much to the society may it be through singing or poetry or similar ? Are they to be remembered once in a while and work as a farmer, sweeper or a coolie otherwise ?
On another note, thank you OTV for reminding and reviving this iconic song and the artists ! Only the anchor should have been more considerate when they were describing their plea. Why would you ask about the social problems to someone who is struggling to survive in daily life. And their is no assurance to help them achieve their goal in even a small way. It felt like she was sensationalizing the interview as well at some parts.
