  • If a Diver is Left at Sea what can the Nautluis Lifeline Marine Rescue GPS do Link: www.divers-supply.com/nautliu...
A couple of times beginning at 6:39 I use the letters ALS ( Automatic Location System ) and I should be said A i S ( Automatic Identification System ). Thank DSC
The all new Nautilus LifeLine Marine Rescue GPS is less than half the size of our original radio and is incredibly simple to use. Simply undo the latch and open, turn on, remove the red distress cap and press the red button. That’s it! Your gps position accurate to 5' and a man overboard distress message will be broadcast to all AiS equipped ships up to 34 miles away as well as a special DSC message to the marine radio on your own vessel. Your Nautilus LifeLine floats and is waterproof to 400'+ in all sea conditions., Just keep the o-ring clean and forget about it for the next 5 years!
    Don’t get left behind!

I'll be adding this to my kit this year. I've been looking at this for a while now.

Hey Scott, It's was fun talking with you about your Scuba adventures so far. I don't think folks realize how much I enjoy meeting and talking with viewers of the channel. Regards Bob C

Yeah - changing batteries once a year is very important. I had a battery in a Shearwater dive computer for a year, unused due to the Covid lockdown - it leaked and damaged/destroyed the dive computer.

Yes sir, if the batteries are removable then take those out if there will any length of time.

FYI - It’s AIS not ALS. Stands for Automatic Identification System used by marine traffic. Nautilus Explorer uses it and I bought one on the Socorro Islands trip.

Thanks DSC, I've added a note in the Description section as a correction to my use of ALS Automatic Location System vs Automatic Identification System A i S. Thanks for catching that...Bob C

Hi Bob, I wonder if a Garmin inReach Mini & UW case wouldn’t be the better choice as it can be used in other activities as well…
Also, any news on the Oceanic+ App for the Apple Watch Ultra? I bought the watch to replace my 7 series and Suunto D5 but in Germany it’s quite freezing 🥶 at the moment so didn’t got the chance to try it yet :)
