Could you recommend the adapter you are using, please.
I use Zitay. TBH I tried even those once off cheap version equally ok. It's just wired pcie. No chips. For thermal silicone pad, might buy some 0.5mm to cut to size. I wouldn't use paste. Messy. When you buy 2230, make sure it's not too thick.
