Here it comes, television's most exciting hour of fantastic prizes the fabulous sixty-minute Price is Right!
We are showcasing episodes not viewed in decades. Starting from Season 11 (1982), this is the first season when animal furs were no longer offered as prizes, supporting Bob’s advocacy of animal rights in memory of his wife Dorothy Jo.
To celebrate what would have been Bob Barker's 100th birthday, the channel is also featuring episodes from the debut season of The "New" Price Is Right in 1972.

I love Bob Barker the best on The Price is Right!!!! He has such a personality for this show!!! He is really great on this show!!!!
What a great time capsule. Love the fashions, hairstyles and low prices from early '70s. Incredible colors and clarity for a fifty year old videotape.
Need a time machine already..
@@silentbob3208RUclips is my time machine. So thankful to all who upload these great artifacts.
@@postmodernrecycler RUclips and Pluto TV makes up the majority of what I watch today.
51 years actually. I am 50, born in 73 :)
Quite the color contrast Bob wearing a brown suit and pink shirt and pastel tie.
I had a 73 Nova with a 6 cyl and a 2 spd automatic transmission,
It was gold with white bucket front seats.
I bought it in 96. It had 60K original miles and I paid $500 from the original owner.
I put knock off Center Line wheels and pounded the miles on it.
I put 100K miles on it in 5 years and sold it to a neighbors kid for $3,500. He owned it for a month and had it repainted in a bright metallic blue. A month after that he rolled it and totaled it.
Not bad. Sorry to hear about the last part tho
@@silentbob3208 Yeah, I was bummed when I heard that he had rolled it.
It was in really good condition when we sold it to him. The gold paint had faded but the body and interior was perfect.
From what his dad told me is that his son was showing off and took a corner too fast, slid off the road and hit a railroad track with the passenger side wheels and that’s what caused it to roll.
The car landed on its roof. I’m thankful that the kid was ok.
I’m sure he learned his lesson on showing off and speeding.
The kid had saved his money since he was 10 years old.
I’m sure by now that kid is married and has kids of his own.
Sad ending for the old Nova. I know of one, probably 73 or74 all redone and painted red. They were good looking cars and there's no limit to how they can be modified. I personally prefer the old cars to stay as original as possible.
I think my aunt used to do liquid embroidery with those Artex paints 🎨. Janice and Anitra’s outfits are cute!
Yep 👍🏻!
$226 for an encyclopedia set, sheesh. Although if you believe Amazon's listing, it's $1,200 now, so... I guess it's a bargain! ;)
Imagine having to pay that much money to look up things we can do at no charge.
Who needs an encyclopedia set now? We have the internet.
I never could understand why people bought those sets anyway. By the time their children were in college, so much had changed
@@Doc1855 Exactly then they just collect dust.
I said false but only because I thought it was much higher. An Encyclopedia Brittanica set used to go for around $3,000.
@@shoredude2 Yes, it’s quite expensive
Wow that lady was so excited, what a great vintage video..

Pam drives away in a new Chevy Nova!
It's fun to see these early episodes where Bob painstakingly explains all the rules of all the games. Today, they correctly assume everyone knows how all the games are played.
its weird watching these old episodes, and not hearing the entire studio audience trying to guide her along. Sounded like a Church in there when she was making her guesses.
Definitely. I can hear a few of them out there but nothing compared to the later days.
My head is spinning at the car prices! 😂
My moms first car was $1900 actually about 2,500 because she wanted extras
People don't remember that minimum wage was $0.80 an hour.
@@Eyeballman24And also this was before the very bad oil crisis of ’73. Also, best as I could find, all evidence seems to point to the federal minimum wage in 1972 being $1.60, not 80¢, just saying.
So innocent and adorable
What happened at around the :38 mark? Looks like someone tried to be a contestant and wasn't actually selected. The studio page was a little rough pulling her away from the podium, it seems.
Confusion, perhaps. She started coming on down when the third contestant was called. That's funny, though. They didn't want to hold up the show.
They were starting to find their groove.
0:26 Who's that in black? She is pulled out of Contestant's Row. She doesn't even have a name tag.
Where are those contestants now since 1972?
they are starring on the find a grave website
My very first car was a 73 Nova with the straight 6, but mine was the 4 door.
did you see the yank that lady off at .37 seconds? eek
I will take it for 2682
Look at those car prices!
They finally got someone to take that Vega.
Check out Bob in this intro from year one. Jogging out from the big doors. You didn't see much of this in his later years, of course.
I think that was the result of him having sciatica.
@@paulcoatney4362 probably a result of that fight with Adam Sandler
@@vap0rland He definitely showed he had good feet still at the end of that fight. 😆"Now you've had enough"
1970s: _Decade Of Oak_
Yep 👍🏻.
In the beginning did you see the girl who was not called go to the 4th station? Then someone removed her.
I will tell you one thing that the old episodes which they had with Bob Barker were far better than the crap which we see nowadays with Drew Carey with so many losers even on the Primetime, don't you?
Absolutely! I don't watch that many full episodes anymore.
Did you forget that Drew Carey had 6 out of 6 games won at the new studio on the first day
@@user-wg9ip8dw3e Yes 👍🏻, I did.
The Drew Carey version is... fine. There's nothing particularly wrong with it, but it feels like a steep drop off because Drew is not a national treasure like Bob Barker. Bob was like no other at bringing out the most entertaining side of people. Drew is barely allowed to be funny.
If this channel aired every single Bob Barker episode on repeat, you know I would absolutely watch that instead.

$2682 for a new car? You couldn't even get a good USED one for that price today.
Nope 👎🏻🙅🏻.
As if James would know.

Kevin, I apologize for Robert F. Besides, he needs a lot of love ❤️ in his life.
@@silentbob3208 Yep 👍🏻!
Why did they pull the last person called away and put in a guy. That's messe up if there are two people with the same name
she's just silly
dam cheap car
I wonder if 5 Price Tags was inspired by the previous pricing game to debut, Most expensive, which used 3 of those light up backdrops to indicate the player’s choice, numbered 1, 2 and 3. Here there are 4 of those same backdrops with no numbers, to indicate which of the 4 small prizes had been won and also how many choices of the 5 possible prices for car the contestant had earned.
