to all the neanderthals hating, why in this day and age would you need a refrigerator to lug around, PA's and IEM's do most of the work. i heard the elf 2x8 and it sounded as good if not better than my old 410H. just a little something on stage to vibrate my feet and supplement the in ears. i've been playing the last 3 years with no amp at all. just a tech 21 flyrig and ears, i want an elf just to feel a little more
You need to try this amp out for yourself. It can drive a 410 cab easily with plenty of volume and clarify. You're not going to get the wall of sound you get from 8x10s or the original Trace Elliots. A gig with a cover band in a bar? Absolutely! A big bar? Yes and use both the 2x8 and 1x10 cab for the full punch. Other cabs? Yes, this powered a Mark Bass 4x10 just fine.
"A massive 200 watts into 4 ohms" makes me laugh. Awesome that they had a good bass player demo the amp, though. Didn't see what the signal chain was, but sounds good to me.
at £200 I MIGHT consider checking one out. But as they're gonna go for $399 in USA I'm guessing it'll be more like £300 to £350 there is no way I'm going to splurge out more than £200 on a 200w amp with only a single 3/4 speaker out.
This is insulting to the history of Trace Elliot and has none of the features that made Trace an unique and beloved brand. This is just a lacklustre attempt to compete with the Nanomark, BH250 and Mb200, and the only point of difference is that it's what....a little bit smaller and a little bit more green? What a disappointment.
I was thinking the same things. It's really sad. I actually had the money to drop on a 2x10 combo amp from TE. I guess it's time to go to Markbass. Shame.

The best feature of the ELf is that it's really green! :-D

Want one...getting one...when are they arriving in the UK?
it works
230-240 volts used in others
Countries. ??
the stingray is very nice looking !!
how come that the labeling on the back is half spanish half english :D :D
Dark, lots of sub bass that makes your sound muddy, compressed. Trace Elliot is back. Did not get the memo on speakon cables though xD

I saw it for $299 at Sweetwater.
Afi Scruggs at that price, it'd still be a push to get me interested though.
Anything below 500W is pretty much too small for every bass player around me. 200W is not enough. Common Trace make something bigger.

Do Trace elliott still produce real bass amplifiers?
right now i have an TC 1215 300 watt combo for rehearsing and it is an awesome combo
No.

Wow, innovation and change is so insulting.
The player is obviously really good but the amp honestly sounds pretty bland and lackluster.
