Omg I didn’t realize that this was Lucas I haven’t listened to the series in a while so my mind blanked for a second. But my week hasn’t been the greatest as we had to put down my cat Dunkin yesterday, I cried my eyes out so hard last night that I felt numb and so depressed because he was the only thing making me push forward but when he passed it felt like I lost my best friend that I had forever. The funny thing is that my parents only got him to help me sleep in my own bed instead of with my brother at night. I still feel a little numb at the moment but I will fight through it no matter what else happens in my life.

Yeah I've wandered the same thing... I mean I hope that listener's family are nice, although it's horrible imagining them worrying about her when she went missing. I feel like she would let them know in some way. Something subtle just to tell them she made it. It honestly depends. I feel like since what she went through was so traumatic, it changed her and it's too much for her to see her family again. Like she needs a fresh start. I think it can be too much sometimes when people who knew u before an event try to understand what happened, after it. Like, with Lucas and Sierra and Jace, they came into the picture later but not after it all - like, they were helping her out of the darkness she was put in. So they are kinda along for her journey and understand more. But on the other hand, maybe she did reach out to them. I think either way, as long as it's right for listener, then it's all good. Obviously only my personal view of the situation - I think each of us can choose how we perceive listener and her backstory. Like it's not set in stone, we all just go with what feels right. Interesting question. But that's just the thing about audio stories like this. Stories where you are meant to place yourself in the middle of it. The story tells you what happens while it's being told. However the blanks are filled in, is largely up to you. It's a concept I keep in the back of my head every single time I write a script. I fill in the backstory only as much as I deem necessary. So you can be free with the rest 😁
