Eating disorders are so hard to fight . I have a history of helping people understand that their loved ones need more support….. as a mom I currently work with my 16 year old son with his eating issues and watch my youngest child to make sure they don’t tip over to the fear of becoming their brother. It’s a fine line and autism in both doesn’t make it easier. I had to wait to watch this so I could make sure that I was in a safe mindset.
They are hard to fight indeed, you really seem to understand that. Thanks for checking out the audio and I do hope that you and your family will be ok.
I’ve battled with an eating disorder for 3 years. I was almost underweight to begin with, meaning In only a span of 1-3 months after it started, I was severely underweight, and nearly died. So this audio brings me a ton of comfort. Thank you so much for this :)

@@dolfinlovermylo17 I’m so sorry to hear you guys had to go through that, and I hope everything is well now! Things do get better overtime, but it requires a ton of time and patience ofc. As someone who has dealt with similar experiences, you are not alone. And I’m extremely proud that you were able to get out of that state, especially considering how difficult it can be
7:32 makes me cry. my dad was always in charge of cooking and when me or my sister didn't finish the portion he was pulling on us shit like "it's upsetting me" or " i will never cook to you" and not finishing the portion is not a big deal but i always felt guilty (one of the reason of my unhealthy relationship with food, thank you dad)
Hey Dennis. Sorry about your larynx being inflamed. I hope you are taking good care of it and I also hope you make a fast recovery. Get well soon, man.
When I was in late Juner High, I became Anorexic, I was 5' 10" and 129 pounds, it was an awful experience, unfortunately I slip back sometimes, the fight never stops. Thank you for your videos, they help so much
I absolutely love this guy, he is so kind. I was crying listening to this audio last night. I didn't comment last night cuz this audio was premiered at 1:00am. I didn't sleep just so I could listen to this audio twice. I feel asleep at 2:30 and missed my fast cuz I was too sleepy to wake up and said "mom I don't want to fast" I realized what I had done when I woke up today..... WHY TF AM I SO LAZY. WHY CANT I WAKE UP AT 4!
I almost cried halfway through this . . . . the fact that people outside our reach understands our pains more than the ones around is quite heartbreaking. It was really, really, REALLY nice listening to this, Dennis. You too Fae, thanks. I struggle with eating disorder, specifically, undereating. Not that I enjoy it, anxiety and stress made it almost a habit. . .but it feels good knowing that someone's looking out for others.
I hope that you feel better and Start to get better with your eating disorder! If you feel comfortable you should start talking to people who deal with the same things as you or similar stuff since not everyone’s story is the same. It’s not okay for anyone to deal with stuff like this alone! Everyone should have comfort and I believe that you can get better and start to get much better! I very much agree with Angelina. There is always someone to talk to, even if it is not immediately clear to you. But it's veryy understandable for that to be difficult. That's why I'm hoping this audio can help you and others like you, to tell you there is always hope.
@@DennisDayVA ah, thanks so much Dennis. Sometimes coming out of the shell can be a lot, but I'll take y'all's advices. Thanks for also making me see hope in times like these, I really needed someone to make me 💜
This happened to pop up on a night when I was contemplating starting to under-eat, since my mom keeps talking about how much of a gut I have. Even though the fall part scared me (negative memories of children's televison), this is a wonderful video. Thank you, Mr. Day, for the comfort.
to whoever needs to hear this, you're beautiful and loved just the way you are. you don't need to change and you especially shouldn't feel the need to change for anyone else
This is the very I have been hoping I would get. It's hard to explain to you how much this means. The process of making this one was just so difficult and made me feel incredibly anxious and often insecure. I really felt like I had it to get this one right. And with this comment and many others I see here, I know I did and it's the best feeling in the world. I hope you've found some comfort here and that you're ok. Don't forget that you are beautiful and can just be yourself. I am indeed doing much better healthwise. Struggling with my throat a bit, but the sickness has run it's course. Thank you for asking 😊
I’m late but thank you so much for this audio. I’ve had an eating disorder for just over 7 years now and I’ve never really had this much comfort around it, it’s usually just people getting angry or frustrated that I’m struggling/still struggling. This audio is so helpful to me and I’m going to be listening to it many times, I just wanted to say thank you
Bro I’m so happy an asmrist like you is covering this. I’ve had someone close to me struggle with an eating disorder and I’ve tried it many times myself. Thankfully we are both okay now, but it’s nice to get some comfort for it!
Straight up sobbing. The emotion, the storyline, the editing and effects, and the hard work put into this video are all for little old me and a bunch of others struggling. I cannot emphasise enough how much I value this video, it’s one of the most comforting things I’ve ever listened to. I needed to hear this, especially during a hard part of my life. I applaud you for taking the time to educate yourself on this very touchy subject because it’s a hard thing to approach. You’ve done this wonderfully Dennis. This was truly worth the wait. ❤️
So incredibly thankful for your wonderful words! One of the most comforting things you've ever listened to? Wow, just amazing to hear! The adio is indeed meant for you and others like you. That's why it was important to me that I do some proper research and am so happy with the result of it.
I feel bad for making him hurt!! But this was a really great audio and sometimes I feel like starving myself but watching this made me realise that if I do that I could end up so ill.. but luckily I am starting to learn my body is beautiful! I don't need to change for anybody as they need to love me for who I am! Love you Dennis!

I have a problem with going from overeating to under-eating,, and I’ve had this problem for so long and idk how to fix it or to help myself. so this touched my heart man,, thank you :]
Sometimes it gets so hard to give myself nutrients I know i need...and feeding myself feels like a chore im forced to do.. hearing a comforting audio of someone caring makes me tear up. I'm sick I know. I hope to get better one day.
Thank you for making this!! (Small vent following, tw) I have been overweight my whole life and I have been bullied for it just as long. My mom used to say awful stuff about my body, too. THe problem is, not a lot of people tell you that they're wrong about judging you when you are actually overweight.. I have been battling with an eating disorder for years now, switching between restricting and binging and honsestly, it's been hell. I am holding on but it's hard when everywhere you go there are people, billboards and other crap telling you that your body is disgusting. It feels almost deserved to have an ED.
Hi, Dennis! I just recently found your channel and this one is possibly my favorite audio(this one or the anxiety attack one). I use it anytime I start criticizing myself. I don’t have an eating disorder but I’m afraid I might have warning signs but I’m not 100% sure. I felt emotionally drained over the holidays since I promised my therapist I wouldn’t say anything negative about myself over the holiday and would just have fun instead of thinking about what I ate. If I want an extra serving of food I always feel like someone is judging me which in reality is me judging myself. My parents are super supportive and no one in my life has ever told me I was fat or should eat less but I still have these feelings. I guess that’s just because I’m a teenage girl and we live in a world of photoshop and “perfect” Instagram models. I’m sorry for that long rant I guess I just wanted to say thank you for making this audio and without making it weird and sexual like some other ASMRist. ❤️❤️ Edit: coming back to this more often! I have now started to restrict my eating a little and running a lot further. I have told people close to me to make sure I don’t close off and letting this take over but I’m definitely nervous now. I haven’t purged or anything (I have a severe fear of vomiting) but the ED mentality is there. I will continue to edit this comment when something happens so you all know how I’m doing. Even if no one sees this comment I will still edit it because I feel like it’s a journal that people can help me with. Edit #2: I’m not getting any better and I think I’m getting worse so now I am getting a ED therapist, which I guess is a good thing. Edit #3. I have now reached out and am actively working with an ED therapist. I don’t want to but I know I have to. So that’s what I’m doing. I’m not sure how/what she is going to do to help me but I’m willing to try
Your audios are always high quality with amazing sound effects that really tie it all together, thanks for making this one it's a topic that hits close to home and I'm sure many people will find these audios helpfull :)

Wow! You're so awesome for calling this a straight up masterpiece! Makes me feel so proud 😊 Couldn't have done it without the people beside me of course, so I'm so glad you're thanking them too 😁
Ohh, Dennis. I caught the premiere and went back to it a second time. Thank you so very much for this. You've done an outstanding job with this one. It's difficult to admit an eating disorder to oneself let alone to another. You handled this all in such a sensitive and accurate manner. My own journey with Anorexia has gone the entire spectrum and never really ends. I appreciate you acknowledging the underlying mental trauma that always accompanies this mental illness. This has been highly anticipated by me and you not only didn't disappoint, you exceeded my expectations. Thank you, thank you, thank you. For some of us the struggle continues daily.
Such a truly wonderful review! All I wanted for this audio was not to dissapoint and get it right, address it in an insightful and respectful way. It brings me so much relief to know I managed to do just that. Thank you for waiting so long for it.
As someone who has been activly fighting an ED for over a year can I say thank you? This felt like I had so much more support through this and I really appreciate it
I sense that you're not giving up your fight with ED, which I immensely applaud. And if my audio can help you in that fight in any way, I'm very proud of it.
Dennis, Fae, I know I say this everytime but this is AMAZING!! Everything from the voice to the graphics to the sound effects-- this moved me in a lot of ways... I struggle with undereating and it can get ugly some days. I tried throwing meals back up but it never worked. So I just... Ate less. I skip breakfast, limit what I eat for lunch, and barely eat dinner. It hurt to look in the mirror-- the dizziness and the shakiness. The fainting and gaps in memory-- wearing bigger clothes and hating when people hug you-- I get that... And when you called out for us before we passed out in the audio I teared up a bit. "Thank you for trying" That line got me. Some people in my life downplay all the progress I make... And it hurts. Honestly if it weren't for some of these audios and my mom, I would be a lot more unhealthy... Thank you both so much for this. ❤️ A whole lotta people needed to hear this. I know my comments are usually light-hearted-- sorry about that! 😅 I hope you all have a good day/night! You all are beautiful just the way you are!! Have a cookie 🍪❤️
Truly a beautiful and honest comment that I can have only respect for. You are always such a kind and positive person in the comments and I'm so grateful to have you here. Your struggle is a very hard one. I understand that a bit more now, thanks to the process of making this audio. And it really hits home when I hear that someone in your position can benefit from my work like this. Please take good care of yourself. You're a beautiful person and I hope you can keep being yourself. Thank you for every single cookie 🍪
To preface this, this was back when I was a freshman in HS. I was a 4’11” and 100lbs girl. I had randomly dropped 10lbs in less than a week and got scared as any kid would. That’s 10% of my weight and my mom said to me, while I was scared to death, that losing weight was good and that I should be happy 😃
I can’t properly express how much this meant to me without getting entirely too tmi for a public RUclips comment lmao. What I will say is thank you, Dennis. You handled this subject with grace and respect. I will very likely be listening to this on repeat for a while lol; I really needed this audio in this particular moment. 💕 You and Fae did an incredible job! ☀️
So good to hear this came around at such an important moment for you! Graceful and respectful is all I wanted this audio to be. Feel free to return to it any time you like, of course 😁
in my opinion this topic is very delicate and important but the thing that amazes me is the way in which you managed to talk very delicately without exaggerating. a lot of people go through times like these, but so do I. And I can say that they are very hard. as always, I thank you for your great contents that manage to console me every day, I can't wait to listen to your new video, if you want I suggest you make one about marriage or maybe about pregnancy. PS: I am Italian so my English is not the best, so I apologize for the imperfections.
It really was a very tricky one to create because of that very reason. It's a delicate and complicated topic. I was legit sweating when I started writing it 😅 But it's a big relief to know that I did it right and that it can help you. Stay safe in these hard times. I'm not entirely comfortable with a pregnancy audio, to be honest. But I'd be more than happy to give one about marriage a shot 😊
Had to push through an inflamed larynx to record this one and I'm still recovering today. But I'm very happy I did it and even more happy that you like it 😁

I have struggled with eating disorders my whole life because my father had told me at the age of eight your fat you need to loose weight. So I started crashing dieting skipping meals and all kinds of bad things when I was sixteen I weighed 100 pounds cause I though thay was beautiful. My mom found out and I started getting the help I need.now that I.m older i do watch what I eat but I'm happy with how I look and how I feel and I'm happier . Thanks Dennis it actually helped me remember the path I will never go down again and never let others make me feel less of myself. You have a gift my friend and I hope it feeling and doing a lot better
That's such a beautiful thing to say, especially coming from you! You've been through a lot and I'm so glad to hear you're doing better now. Hopefully, this audio can remind you of how beautiful you are a s person. And that feeling good about yourself is a key to happiness.
Sometimes we are like butterflies, beautiful creatures who can't see their own beauty, as butterflies can't see their wings. I know is hard to see it, to look at your own colors and appreciate them, mean comments make you forgot about all the pretty things in yourself and I'm not blaming you, is hard sometimes. If you are going through this I only want you to know how amazing of a person you are, how strong to keep moving and fighting over it, you are so brave and amazing of a person 💕💕
Quite a lovely way of putting it, really. Thank you for that. And thank you for your checking out my audio. I do hope you enjoyed it and that I could give the right comfort ☺
I was told this past week I might have developed an eating disorder, this came to me at the perfect time, thank you so much! My story TL;DR: I possibly developed an E.D from people being jerks on the internet, and grief And now to share my story: I'm 16 (in like 3 weeks!!) and when I was 14 years old I started to eat less because I felt overweight, and I had just lost 2 family members...Grief developed in the form of an eating disorder for about 3 months during that time I was also told horrible things on the internet.. (I deleted social media after that, best choice EVER), I missed breakfast most days and brushed it off, then during high school I started to eat less during lunch, just after my 15th birthday I almost entirely stopped eating lunch if not for school. One day doing a mile walk outside for my P.E class, I almost passed out, my friends carried me to the coach and as we got their I closed my eyes, opening them a minute later...The coach was worried and got my a glass of water and asked if I had eaten, I told him I didnt think I did, but I didn't remember. I brushed the thought off and focused on finishing school...It's now summer break and I've been in therapy since my family members passed away in 2020. So I decided to bring up the fact I wasn't feeling well and hadn't been eating the same as usual. And at the end of the session I was told I am likely a victim of Major Depressive Disorder or an early E.D....I was so upset, my dad took us out out my favorite restaurant after the session, and reassured me that he and my mom were gonna do everything they can to help me feel better. Though it was likely but I had pushed it out of my mind. I remembered hearing how scared my friends were that day they had to carry me, the guilt my parents felt after they found out, and for the past week I've been trying to get my body to be on a normal eating schedule. I have 2 weeks till school starts again. My boyfriend and my friends have been very supportive and understanding, even to the point of JOKINGLY threatening me when I don't eat. It makes me feel a lot better having supportive people around me. My family is adjusting and I'm feeling a bit better.
This is gorgeous! Dennis, you are a fantastic person, you can see how much you care about this job and how much you have worked on it, we are proud of you❤️ I don't struggle with ED personally but I still enjoyed the audio, and I'm sure it will help a lot of people. Thanks for everything ❤️

As someone who has family members in the medical field, I got distracted by the announcement in the background of the code blue and all hands to the ER. Also this audio is comforting. Thank you ❤
It's an interesting idea, though I don't think I will be addressing undereating in another audio, at least not too soon. It's a complex problem, and I knew this audio wasn't gonna be relatable for everyone struggling with this problem. Still, I'm very glad you enjoyed it.
@@DennisDayVA thats understandable. I suppose afrid is more about scared of food tastes and trying new stuff also. But yes audio very cool. Do you have any audios on trying new things in general? That would be awesome. :P
I come back to this video when I’m really struggling and I’m grateful because I couldn’t eat today unless someone else made the food and somehow with this video it made me go to the kitchen to which upon seeing and chatting to my brother I got him to cook a burger the good way (he’s actually kinda good at cooking) and he doesn’t know this but he made it so much safer for me to eat today. I don’t really have anyone to share this win with and here is the only place I could think of. It was really tasty too.

⚠️Talks about eating⚠️ Really, thank you so much for this. I’ve been dealing with my eating problems for years now all alone. Im still on the young side so I can’t get the help I need. I’m slowing getting better and this makes me want to try harder. Sure, I have my days but it’s getting back to wear it needs to be. Thank you Dennis, really.
The ringing and blurry vision was too accurate. Often I feel like I just want to fall over and sleep, my ears ring so painfully and my vision turns into a grey tv static.
Unfortunately I’ve had a relapse with my food demons but finally think I have it leveling out. Eating one meal a day, every day. that’s actually positive for me so please be kind; I know it’s not enough but I try every day. Dissociating sucks royally. Thank you for your videos they mean more than you could ever know.
I... I was fine until he brought in the mother and the being raised like that... I was raised in competitions where looking beautiful was incredibly important. I was undereating in kindergarten, long before I had a name for what I was doing. Eventually I was coaxed out of it, but once I got a little bigger I started getting food taken away from me. I'm still a little paranoid because I don't want my food to be taken, and I hide it. Even so, I still ignore my hunger pains most of the time. But I'm getting better. College is helping, as my roommates usually invite me to go eat with them.
Him:im making sherpads pie Me:Wait ain't I allergic to fish?. My family eats sherpads pie with fish so I'm very non cultured in food 😅 (sorry for my bad English grammar I know English just never write in it)

I'm suffering with an eating disorder rn. It's not a big issue to begin with at the moment, just skipping a couple meals per day and having 1-2 snacks, drinking only if I catch the right time of day, and only eating my dinner, which usually isn't much. My parents haven't caught on since they let me buy my own food at school. Problem is, im a picky eater so I don't have many options for food to begin with. From the fanciest foods which I hate the most to a brand of sausage, I can barely find what I can and can't eat. This had been an issue since I was 8, and I'm 16 rn.

For real, all of my family uses that if someone spends a little too long on the toilet
Thank you for your videos, they help so much
YOU OUTDID YOURSELF, THIS WAS INCREDIBLE!!
Yay! I always try to improve as best I can 😁
I absolutely love this guy, he is so kind.
It's so nice to hear you like my work so much. Sorry to premiere so late for you, but I appreciate the effort of staying up for it very much.
Have a lovely day and know that your not alone in any of this!! ❤️
@@angie8244 Thanks Angel, you're truly an Angel ^^ And of course, just that finding the right person to do so can be tricky sometimes.

I very much agree with Angelina. There is always someone to talk to, even if it is not immediately clear to you. But it's veryy understandable for that to be difficult. That's why I'm hoping this audio can help you and others like you, to tell you there is always hope.

As someone who developed an ED from old friends this is extremely comforting. Thank you for this
This happened to pop up on a night when I was contemplating starting to under-eat, since my mom keeps talking about how much of a gut I have.
(Small vent following, tw)
I have been overweight my whole life and I have been bullied for it just as long.
Edit: coming back to this more often!

@@DennisDayVA Your sense is very correct, and I really appreciate you and the work and research you put into this.
I put my candy bar down after hearing the beginning of the video

I can’t get over the fact he sounds like my grandpa
I do have an eating disorder but i didn't think it was for a long time but now i see it because this left me crying my eyes out.
I was told this past week I might have developed an eating disorder, this came to me at the perfect time, thank you so much!
My story TL;DR: I possibly developed an E.D from people being jerks on the internet, and grief
And now to share my story: I'm 16 (in like 3 weeks!!) and when I was 14 years old I started to eat less because I felt overweight, and I had just lost 2 family members...Grief developed in the form of an eating disorder for about 3 months during that time I was also told horrible things on the internet..
Dennis, you are a fantastic person, you can see how much you care about this job and how much you have worked on it, we are proud of you❤️

I’m slowing getting better and this makes me want to try harder. Sure, I have my days but it’s getting back to wear it needs to be. Thank you Dennis, really.
Even now, in recovery I am struggling. So i appreciate this c:

The ringing and blurry vision was too accurate. Often I feel like I just want to fall over and sleep, my ears ring so painfully and my vision turns into a grey tv static.
Your voice sounds like cuddles ☺️

This is awesomely done! Great job!
Thank you so much! I will definitely do my best! 😁
Him:im making sherpads pie
Me:Wait ain't I allergic to fish?.
