I think his performance is so good because he is not using any mods at all ( as far as I know), It has been a long time since I played vanilla rimworld.

This is why he needs to focus his research on refrigeration. that way he can build up a large stock of meals, to hold him over. Also with 100 lemmings he can strip the blight rather fast. but will the blight move faster?
Not really, the area he's cultivating is more than he needs and if a blight happens just imagine how fast 100 colonists can remove blight infested plants.
Not saying this challenge would work out... But hey I think 100 colonists are quite strong and maybe could kill an infection bare hands.

The best advice i could give you would be to separate half of your colony into 2 groups, the first is awake during the day and the second is awake during the night, cutting your management of the colony in half at most times.
also when one of your constructors gets high enough rank you should construct a nutripaste dispenser as it uses less food for meals, which will really stretch out your food.
Good calls! Just put a doctor on the night shift, as it's helping manage people who get sick in the night - maybe once we have lights to manage those darkness mood debuffs?
@@ambiguousamphibian I would make it a "afternoon - start of night" and middle of night - afternoon" team to make sure not too many gets the debuff.

the gravitas behind "massive demand for wood" around 23:34 caught me off guard and had me chuckling like a fool for longer than i'd like to admit
The warning of the AI acting weird at that large map scale isn’t entirely true. From tests they are fine at that level the true issues start at I believe above 600 by 600? The largest vanilla map is perfectly okay. Or should be I didn’t test it with this many pawns lol
The AI acting weird is mostly for colonists' pathing and (maybe) Casandra because, correct me if I am wrong, the story teller thinks that your colony has more worth than it really does.
@@potatolord6726 you are correct but the AI acting weird is because of pathing issues with huge maps, though the map needs to be beyond the standard range of maps to cause real actual issues from what ive seen tested and heard.
I usually play on pretty huge maps and don't have any problems except late game slow down which you get most places. Just chose a map above 'standard' but not ludicrous xD
This is a nuts challenge. I've played RW for years and never thought to do something as mad as this. Best of luck! I'd try to give you RW tips but I have no words..

Hey just a heads up. To assign everyone to a certain job I’m pretty sure you can shift click the name of the job. Like general or construction and they will all be assigned to it. It’s much faster. I may be wrong but it’s worth a shot.
Gotta say I really enjoy these videos. Between this and the all passions no skills videos it's given me a lot of inspiration for my own colonies in Rimworld.

Can't wait to see more of this series. I found your channel a few days ago and watched through your whole 'all passions zero skills' playthrough. I like your narration a lot.
I want to point out that you can click and drag the "Mine" order over blocks that are undiscovered. You can be certain that iron deposits are solid all the way through. As a general rule, iron deposits are always roughly oval blobs which are 5-8 blocks long in the longer direction. So, if you find some exposed iron, you can mine a 5x5 area behind it and be almost certain that it's solid. Bit of a nitpick, but it helps save some effort.
Probably should have got a stack size increase mod, due to the quantity’s involved.
Ah cool! I'd honestly tried getting some mods working, though my save files get corrupted and I'm awful with salvaging them - but maybe someday!
The first butcher table isn't set up right, the bill you put in was to "Do X times", not "Do forever".

I would recommend you setting manual assignments, the settings where you can decide, on a 1-4 scale, which assignment the pawn should focus on first.

Just FYI: You should use at least 2 mods: Haul Urgently and Auto cut blight (or something like that). Both would help manage that many people :)
Oh I love these types of games man! My favorite is always having +100 slaves and 20 regular colonists. I play it as a “Escaped Slaves” run where I try to make a textbook utopia.
As usual in Rimworld it instead rapidly becomes a textbook dystopia, complete with starvation, mental breakdowns, a brutal police policy where persistent troublemakers get executed and cannibalized or turned into vegetables so that doctors can improve their medicine.
It’s fun. Rimworld fun. Praise be Randy and his holy cargo pods!

I had similar experience before where i started with 50 random colonist or so. And from what I’ve experienced, having a big yet very impressive barrack is a much better option than a tiny room for each colonist.
I mean yeh, they’re all ascetic. But it’s also faster to build, as there will be less room segments and less doors, so its also forgiving for your inexperienced builders. Its much more beneficial if i were to say, as the debuff “disturbed sleep” can only stack up to three.

Possibly once I figure out how to upload from EdB scenarios - can't seem to make it with vanilla only, though the EdB menus let you get up to 100 colonists - from there, it's mainly just a matter of lining them up and then manually lowering all their stats to 0

@@OneInTheRiver Some Backstories (like Mental Patient, I think) dont make the pawn incapable of anything, but dont give skill bonus either, so they only have skill debuffs

Unpopular Opinion: Cassandre is harder.
Randy giveth and Randy taketh away. He taketh away mostly but he also giveth at least. Cassandra can be handled early game but late game (or 100 colonists, high wealth) she only taketh away.
@@multipoep5 Early game cassandre is still hardest due to the random wanderer joins and the higher preferred colonist number cap.
I've never played this game, nor seen any gameplay of it until now, so I have no idea what the fuck is happening. What I do know, is watching you immediately order five people to beat a man into unconsciousness for being angry, and then being relieved that they didn't bite him is one of the funniest things I've ever seen.

Always wondered what would happen if I make this colony, now I don't have to lol.. You just gained a new sub sir, keep it up ✨
You can set manual priorities, 1 through 4, with one being "Drop everything and tend to it now" and 4 being "Do it whenever." Can also force labor (no sleep, recreation, or non-work related tasks) for the initial 48 hours of nothing but work. I frequently use this when doing ohshit runs due to an extremely low chance of breaks during the first week of game-play.
