This movie was shit, and still there are so many people that try to convince you that its chocoloate... Ridley Scott doing everything to put the black goo everywhere because he is still pissed that he didnt made the sequel to the first one... dont get me wrong, Ridleys skill was necessary for the first one to look how it looks... but he didint write the script. And its a shame how little credit got O'Bannon and Shusett for it... anyways those are just my two cents, have a beautiful day...
"Ridleys skill was necessary for the first one to look how it looks... but he didint write the script. And its a shame how little credit got O'Bannon and Shusett for it..." O'Bannon and Shusett wrote an outstanding script. Walter Hill and Dave Giler did revisions (the producers) and if you ever get a chance to read their version, it's a fantastically streamlined and wonderfully written draft. All of this is to say that Alien Romulus is nowhere close to resembling any of the talent we've just mentioned.
I watched Romulus. Gotta say, the only problem i’ve had with the movie, was the chestburster’s/human hybrid’s growth spurt. From such a small size, it grows inside the cocoon into an adult Xenomorph like in only a few hours (i think). Same with the human hybrid. It grew from baby size to a 7”4 giant in like, no time at all. Perhaps the same could be said for some other Alien movies, but Romulus felt really fast paced on that subject. Not comparing this to any of the other movies, as a standalone movie, i still believe Romulus did pretty well.
The writing team seemed to be in a rush. They must have watched the prequels at 2x speed and thought it happened that quick. It is the only explanation.
@@CopaExMachina but still, despite its flaws, one of the better movies what came out this year besides Deadpool & Wolverine. These days, they release movies that are mostly woke-influenced and i don’t need this bs in the film industry.
I really like 2/3 of the film. Hate the 3rd act with the Prometheus bullshit and use of black goo again in about half into the movie. And the adult aliens were a little underwhelming, but other than that I really liked it. I don't agree with how people complain about the characters. I think their goal was understandable: they wanted to escape slavery and early death - pretty damn good motivator if you ask me. Aliens is my favorite movie of all times and I'm an Alien 3 and Alien Resurrection apologist. And I love the first Alien, but I always find it funny when people romanticize the characters from the first one. I think it's nostalgia blindness. Ripley becomes badass toward the end, but we really love her because we know her transformation in Aliens. Dallas is cool because it's Tom Skerritt. Kane smokes, nothing more than that. Parker and Brett are not funny like people remember them to be. All they talk about is money. Ash is an asshole. And Lambert is emotional. We absolutely nothing about any of of them. And that, my friends, is the truth.
Im so glad i wasnt the only one who thought this movie was shit. I couldnt watch it anymore after that "newborn" scene. ffs man what a stupid ending. The characters were so bland and boring. Gen Z "up and coming" actors nobody knows. Nobody gaf about any of the characters and the many trailers for this movie showed the entire thing and who dies. everything about this was just lame memberberries.

It's not even like it was the pressure that got to them they just flipped a switch and turned their brains off right after the first gravity reset...
The prologue should have been enough of a warning to stay away but like a moth to a flame just when you think it can't get worse, you are on fire and smell like a Yankee Candle.
@@CopaExMachina your version is way better and I could vividly see it in my head the way you broke it down. Thankfully I didn't know about it until after but still something just didn't sit right with me after and I couldn't quite place it because it was all covered up so well with the visual art style and the nonstop BLAM BLAM WHAM BLAM, and I didn't even remember the callbacks honestly but I think I'm just given up on trying to make sense or consistent understanding of our TV and movies today. Yankee candles too expensive I get mine from Marshalls or HomeGoods
Romulus has alot of praise. So did Predator Prey which is ok but for all it's stupidity and not knowing lore, at least in Predators I laughed and liked the most of these 3.
Black Panther has a lot of praise too, doesn't mean it's good.
Now giger is crying in his tomb
His estate still got paid though lol
Every character had the same motivation. Why write that way?
As soon as they introduced the black goo I fully checked out.
Did you like how they brought a dead actor back so he could play a half-assed version of himself and people could 'member hard?
@@CopaExMachina it was cringe. Just as cringe when they used cgi Arnold in the new terminator movies. I don't get why everyone is praising romulus. Nothing original.
@@SladeF-ll5rk Every five minutes there was a cringe checkpoint Romulus would pass through

I am fucking done with the hate for Romulus. It wasn’t perfect but I enjoyed it and liked it.
Romulus sucked so bad it is a new form of alien torture
@@CopaExMachina have you forgotten how much torture requiem was💀

@@CopaExMachina I am done with you haters ruining how much fun I had honestly.
@@CopaExMachina requiem was torture Romulus isn’t
Bro Alien Romulus was indeed crap but don't shit on my beloved Prometheus and Covenant. Those were actual movies, althogh flawed. This is one giant flaw with some bit of a movie scattered between the load of bullshit (And some objectively good direction and photography to envelope it like a nice coloured plastic bag containing dog shit)
"This is one giant flaw with some bit of a movie scattered between the load of bullshit." For the next 24 hours you have my laughter. That is too good. So good in fact that I will ignore the Prometheus / Covenant comment.
@@CopaExMachina You may not like them but at least they were original. This is pure recycled biological waste
@@titanismmedia No lie detected and trust me, I tired. Romulus is like the best of album done by the worst cover band.
@@CopaExMachina I would call it a lazy, cheesy remix album. Well mixed and mastered but lazy and cheesy in its writing and production
I mean it's Force Awakens: Alien edition

Idk how I feel about the movie, but I wouldn't call it bad. Its pretty on par with every other movie. Tbh the only good alien films are aliens and prometheus. I'm sure alien was good for it's time but it's lame now
I am on a rollercoaster of emotions with this comment
Damn why do people keep hating I’m glad it came out and it wasn’t as bad as alien 3 covenant wasn’t bad either a lil drawn out but man people keep hating and what ever hater keep hating
This movie sucked. That's the short-end of it
Saying Covenant wasn't bad is like saying Gwyneth Paltrow is a likable human being.
We hate it because it was bad. The whole franchise is a mess since Aliens. Let it die.
I agree with you some people just don’t know what horror is
✅
This feels like your just complaining about the movie not even saying how you would fix it so this was a click bait basically
Did you watch the video lol. I literally gave it 3 major fixes for each act
Dude, you sound like a poor man's Critical Drinker 😂 Jokes aside, kindly do a video to offer the story you'd have put in place if it was you (and not Fede Alvarez) 👍
Who is Critical Drinker? Jokes aside, you want a video where I build on my prologue/first act fix?

I honestly pity you guys, you can't seem to enjoy anything
Haters gonna hate. Ironically, these are the same people who complain that the franchise isn’t getting new entries… smh
We have to like just any crap that comes across the screen now?
I enjoy entertaining movies. Romulus was the opposite of that.
I prefer alien 4 than this shit to be honest
That's like saying I prefer to being vaporized by the bomb than huff the fallout so, in that sense, I agree with you.

@@CopaExMachinaor your standards is just higher, and can't be satisfied anymore. At least I didn't feel like watching a woke movie with this one.
Sorry
tbh I think you and the fandom are being overdramatic. the film wasn't perfect but compared to what we got last time its decent. if you walked in subconsciously expecting it to be close to or on the same level as the first two entries then you were setting yourself up for disappointment.
I immediately stated in the video I wasn't looking for an instant classic but just a good time. You're going to have drill new holes in your ears because the old ones closed up.

Alien Romulus is the worst Alien film since the last Alien film.
Requiem and resurrection are the worst and people should be smart enough to know that Romulus is better than those movies.
I'd prefer Alien: Vulcan
Where the alien/humanoid hybrid says
"Die Soon & Fail"
