If Oasis were to be the Beatles that would have been a massive hit. I guess John and Paul have secretly written the tune and given it to Noel for his birthday. Amazing song!

I think this video DOES have a real Oasis feel - the illustrations interacting with the live video remind me of many of their videos including All Around the World. In the same way that, although the song is slow and melodic, it is unmistakably Oasis, I think the video fits them perfectly!
Sept 2021, about to be 50 in 7 days, and the thought of that has sent me to my happy place, Happy Mondays, new order, oasis of course, stone roses, and late srereo phonics mixed with the kinks and stones and the Beatles and elvis and I am fully in my happiest place, oh verve too, too many to mention, but thank you. You are the soundtrack to the best parts of my life this far (apart from all the dance music, but who can remember the titles and artists, I know which DJ played, and the name of the clubs and the nights, but other than that, one beautiful blur. Driving Home from Manchester.... Early October Sunshine.... I heard this song on the radio and for me and Sally Cinnamon, life was as good as can be because of fantastic memories
Why wouldn't they release this? It's fucking amazing, and the amount of work that must have gone into it is staggering. I reckon if they had've released it the song would've been a massive hit. One of the best Oasis videos
a briliant and relaxing song and i'm must admit that the video clip is not to bad its suited perfectly with the song. sure it is kinda cheesy but its still good to see this video clip in MTV back then when MTV is MTV
I hope this music video gets an official release one day whether it be due to the reunion tour or a possible 25th anniversary reissue of Heathen Chemistry in 2027.
This is about Noel Gallagher's then-new girlfriend, Scottish publicist Sara MacDonald. Says Noel: "I was living in a hotel near Buckingham Palace. Warm day, f--k all on the telly, in love with my girlfriend. I wrote 'She is Love' in ten minutes. 'Live Forever' was like that. 'Slide Away' was like that. They're the songs that mean something to other people. You write it, put the kettle on, come back, sing it into a tape recorder, play it back and go: 'yeah, that's finished.' Fast forward six months and there's 60,000 people in a field singing it to you. What the f--k's that about? That's magic, as Paul Daniels once said." Noel Gallagher on his burgeoning romantic side, 2002: "Yeah, I'm in love with my girlfriend. I wrote a song 'She Is Love' about how lovely I think she is. I guess romantic is probably one of the words you could use to describe me. In the past I've definitely shied away from using the word 'love' in songs, but I'm an older gentleman now - I'm 35 - so I really couldn't give a toss if people think it's soppy. That song's real, and it's how I feel about her. But I wouldn't like to dwell on that kind of stuff, because it would limit the appeal of the song." MadForIt
They are together now. However they split up for a while in 2002, a period that coincided with when the single was to be released. It was in the news at the time. They made up later on.
All thoughts, all passions, all delights, Whatever stirs this mortal frame, All are but ministers of Love, And feed his sacred flame. Oft in my waking dreams do I Live o'er again that happy hour, When midway on the mount I lay, Beside the ruined tower. The moonshine, stealing o'er the scene Had blended with the lights of eve; And she was there, my hope, my joy, My own dear Genevieve! She leant against the arm{'e}d man, The statue of the arm{'e}d knight; She stood and listened to my lay, Amid the lingering light. Few sorrows hath she of her own, My hope! my joy! my Genevieve! She loves me best, whene'er I sing The songs that make her grieve. I played a soft and doleful air, I sang an old and moving story- An old rude song, that suited well That ruin wild and hoary. She listened with a flitting blush, With downcast eyes and modest grace; For well she knew, I could not choose But gaze upon her face. I told her of the Knight that wore Upon his shield a burning brand; And that for ten long years he wooed The Lady of the Land. I told her how he pined: and ah! The deep, the low, the pleading tone With which I sang another's love, Interpreted my own. She listened with a flitting blush, With downcast eyes, and modest grace; And she forgave me, that I gazed Too fondly on her face! But when I told the cruel scorn That crazed that bold and lovely Knight, And that he crossed the mountain-woods, Nor rested day nor night; That sometimes from the savage den, And sometimes from the darksome shade, And sometimes starting up at once In green and sunny glade,- There came and looked him in the face An angel beautiful and bright; And that he knew it was a Fiend, This miserable Knight! And that unknowing what he did, He leaped amid a murderous band, And saved from outrage worse than death The Lady of the Land! And how she wept, and clasped his knees; And how she tended him in vain- And ever strove to expiate The scorn that crazed his brain;- And that she nursed him in a cave; And how his madness went away, When on the yellow forest-leaves A dying man he lay;- His dying words-but when I reached That tenderest strain of all the ditty, My faltering voice and pausing harp Disturbed her soul with pity! All impulses of soul and sense Had thrilled my guileless Genevieve; The music and the doleful tale, The rich and balmy eve; And hopes, and fears that kindle hope, An undistinguishable throng, And gentle wishes long subdued, Subdued and cherished long! She wept with pity and delight, She blushed with love, and virgin-shame; And like the murmur of a dream, I heard her breathe my name. Her bosom heaved-she stepped aside, As conscious of my look she stepped- Then suddenly, with timorous eye She fled to me and wept. She half enclosed me with her arms, She pressed me with a meek embrace; And bending back her head, looked up, And gazed upon my face. 'Twas partly love, and partly fear, And partly 'twas a bashful art, That I might rather feel, than see, The swelling of her heart. I calmed her fears, and she was calm, And told her love with virgin pride; And so I won my Genevieve, My bright and beauteous Bride. Love BY SAMUEL TAYLOR COLERIDGE

This song was supposed to be the third single alone, but then Noel broke up with Sarah McDonald, for whom he wrote it, before that could happen. At his insistance, the tune got relegated to double A side status with Little By Little getting the video treatment, top billing, and the radio push.
Little by Little and She is Love released as a double A-side, but only one video was made, making the song without the video basically forgotten? sounds like Blur (She's So High/I Know).
It's another great Oasis song that I love as much as the next person, but I agree that the girly-girl vibe of the video probably didn't sit well with the rough and tumble Gallaghers. I'm imagining Noel's face when they first showed it to him, and I'm dying laughing from that mental picture. 🤣
