ShartimusPrime Biography:
Inspired by watching boring Transformers action figure reviews, the ShartimusPrime youtube channel was launched in 2008. Engaging the audience with an edgy sense of humor for adult collectors, action figure collecting has never been this fun, and videos are posted daily! Unexpectedly, the channel became more popular for Marvel Legends reviews and Spider-Man, Avengers, and X-Men collection display videos. After a few years, the channel has branched out to review other figure properties aside from Marvel Legends and G1 Transformers Masterpiece. Hot Toys, Star Wars, Diamond Select Toys, DC Collectibles, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Dragon Ball Z, Attack on Titan, Godzilla, Evil Dead, and The Walking Dead toy lines have all been added to the roster of nearly 2,000 video reviews. Japanese import figures from SH Figuarts, Bandai, Figma, Square Enix, and Medicom MAFEX have been favorites as well. More recently, Kotobukiya Statues (including the very sexy Bishoujo line) and NECA Toys have become more prevalent on the channel. Being a big fan of movies such as Spider-Man, Batman, X-Men, Iron Man, Captain America, The Avengers, Evil Dead, Pacific Rim, Aliens, and other films has lead the channel in the direction of also reviewing movies, movie trailers, blu ray releases, and tv shows. News updates for 2016 releases and beyond are also posted. Audience engagement is a big part of this channel, with giveaways and fan mail being read publicly once a week in the PO Box Pick-Up videos. Impressive “Shart-Art” is shared via social media and included in the opening theme song. The audience is also kept up to date with any changes to the channel, along with recent comic book pick-ups, unboxings, and action figure hauls. Stop-motion segments punishing the popular meme of the Big Time Let Down Spider-Man close most of the comparison segments, and are compiled together for guaranteed access to patrons. Lastly, all figure reviews close with a slideshow featuring dynamic poses of the figure inspired by ACBA, with the added bonus of music performed and recorded by ShartimusPrime himself.

This figure is 100% the Model 24. That suit's design elements fluctuated quite a bit during its brief tenure, but this figure is a 1:1 match with the way it looked like in its first apeparance in Iron Man v3 #73.
Wonder if they'll still do a model 24. Not really a fan of the fins and backpack on this one.

Do you have the Marvel Select "Modern Armor"? It's actually the Iron Secretary, and aside from the hip joints, it's a perfect Iron Man figure.
All these years later, the 80th Anniversary Iron Man is STILL the best IMO. It's the most iconic and timeless armor, the accessories were great, and the gold and metallic red colors are still gorgeous

This is definitely my favorite armor and I believe you’re right about it being closer to the Model 24 armor. The armor reminds me of what he wore on EMH cartoon

Just make sure you're referring to the right armor. This isn't the Iron Secretary armor as he says. It's the Tin Man armor.
The old Toybiz version never had a Model number. It was referred to as Modern Iron Man!
My own personal favorite Iron Man armors are the classic, Silver Centurion, Modular, and Extrimis which I do have and my 2 friends might get me 2 more Marvel Legends Iron Man figures to go in my Iron Man armory, Fantastic review.
Agreed. I too like those armors. I also like Model 42 (black and gold), bleeding edge, model 09 (Neo-Classic) and the recent model 70 (Alex Ross's redesign of the classic armor)

Modular Iron Man (MVC) Armor is definitely my favorite. That's the armor that Iron Man was introduced to me with as a kid.
8:22 I think the reason for the forward joints being a dud for most figures for a Diaphragm is because the peg placement is more diagonal with the bottom joint being further forward than the top peg which creates great range of movement for the back movement not so much with the crunch. I figured it out when I took apart a DC MacFarlane figure.
I think his appearance in X-Men '97 made me love the Modular suit the most.

My bro started me off on my collecting journey with the toybiz version of this guy, I lost it in a move, & would love both versions.
I binged the entire original show before watching 97 and let me tell you, it paid off big time. I only knew of the X-Men through the movies or video games but I never once got into the animated show until now. This was an amazing series and I can't wait for season 2! ❤
I had the toybiz iron man when I was a kid. Local toy store owner gave me a good deal, I was like maybe 11, 12? Loved it so much. As soon as I saw this figure I knew I needed it
@shartimus the marbeling occures when the staff of factories don't clean deeply and correctly the Die mold and the plastic injection needles shaft still has leftovers/or build ups of the previous plastic resin., thats cheap manufactory process due catch up with deadlines

I Used to Have a Bobblehead of Iron Man from The First MCU Movie when I Was a Kid.
I try not to go too deep into the hole of getting a bunch of Iron man armors, but this one looked so good I had to get it when I say it on the shelf. I think my favorite is still the Extremis armor, but if this one didn't have the articulation limitation at the wrists for proper repulsor posing this one might've taken it's spot.

I'm always going to be partial to the classic design of iron man. But I do love so many of his armors it's hard to choose. Also this is 100% model 24
Extremis is the best design, it's a mix of model 20 and the classic armor, which imo makes it look very nice.
After pulling out a Marvel official handbook and referencing some comic images as well as Amazon images I can say that this figure is a mixture of both Model 20 from the waste up and model 24 from the thighs down. Scratching my head at this. I don’t call these mistakes, because these are professionals with access to all the references they need and these figures are approved by Marvel. Still looks good though. 🤔

I don't collect legends often but I think this will become my Iron Man for the shelf
Soak that hand in vinegar for a while making sure it gets up in the joint. Vinegar breaks down super glue. Very slowly mind you but it won't harm the plastic or paint. I have used it to break pieces apart before and it worked out pretty well. Just takes a while. I had a similar thing happen years ago with a mysterio figure and I got it to work. I didn't know about the vinegar trick back then so it probably would have went quicker if I had.
I may have to pick this up now I've pre-ordered the Hulkbuster
yeah dude I totally agree with the hands. I had the same reaction when I opened mine. That said I want to get the hulkbuster there coming out with and pose them together. #teamironman
VERY VERY tempting with this one, but I've been using the Model 70 for my shelf and any extra Iron Man figure money's gotta go to a Hulkbuster.
I skipped on this when I had figure funds, I now regret that but, I don't have the funds now to get it. Looks like a great figure

I think the neck piece on this Iron Man has been installed backwards on everyone's figures. Try twisting his neck around 180 degrees and see what you think. Thanks for the review!

I might order this when I get home. This is pretty much the default suit from MUA1 so it’s a must have for me. I prefer this figure to the extremis armor. That one was too dull, I know that’s how it looked in the comics but I prefer this suits colors and design
I’ve got this and the on pre order with BBTS along with the rest of the retro iron man line minus she hulk, outside of whiplash this particular armor I’m excited about getting and im pretty sure it’s the mk. 24 armor , I’ll need to double check with other advancediron fans to be completely sure, but yes this will be in my top five iron man armors in my large shellhead collection

Awesome review! I had this figure in my hand yesterday at Target and it was price checking at $17, and I still didn't buy it. I just never liked that armor. It looks too much like a robot instead of a guy in a suit. My favorite is the 80-Years classic red and gold armor, tied with he Walgreens Silver Centurion figure. Love both of those.
This was an excellent opportunity to do a ball jointed waist. Good figure though.
I find this armour visually too busy, and robotic-looking - so not my favourite; 80yrs Classic Armour rocks the best. Still, it is IM, and with IM for me, more is always better. It is a great sculpt, and really shows the effort put in to producing this figure. Already on order for me (as is the rest of this Wave - Can't wait for Nefaria and Whiplash!).😃
That old fig is the early 2000s modern gritty reboot style it will always have a place for it even if its wonky and dated

Yo shartimus why u don’t you do what I did on some of iron men, I bought a super fine gold gundam pen and just colored in. Spots ? Worked great on the extremis armor and the 12 inch iron man

I was head swapping this figure with the mcu iron man head and hands looked pretty good I do like that his hands swivel but the plates on top of the hands kill it for me
You can take the shoulder pads off that way you don’t have to cut it just found that out

Affer doing my own research Russ he has the wrong color lower torso for the Model 24 with the gold inlaid on them rib area it should be red but also the wrong color arms for the Model 20 which should be all gold in the bicep tricep area so his armor does not really exist in an accurate form as either Model so I guess Dwight doesn't know his Iron Man armors!!!

I'm comfused, searching for the model 24 armor the images show no gold in the sides of the waist, and at the same time, the design is the same as the pentagon armor?
The most known version of the Secretary/Pentagon armor is Model 25, but model 24 looks really close.
This figure is a representation of the very first appearance of Model 24, which was in Iron Man (vol. 3) #73. You can search for its cover.
But I wouldn't call it exactly Model 24. It's a hybrid between Model 20 and model 24.
I still don't really get the gripe with the marbling in the plastic. For me it's not a bother, it's more the inconsistent paint apps that bother me

It's a model 24, the difference in appearance are due to different people drawing the armor. Same armor , many inconsistent designs.

A very cool Iron Man armor. One of my favorites, but the articulation is horrible. Butterfly joints ain't gonna cut it. Hasblow will be Hasblow. 1 step forward and 3 steps back with them. Man... and I was looking forward to the fig. Hasblow dropped the ball on this one. Ain't worth the $25. Gonna wait till it goes on clearance and then get it to use as custom fodder.

As much as I like the modular ironman, I think this one is currently definitive ironman figure. The 80th ironman looks plain to me, imo.
What about Model 70? It's got the circular RT chest node and the classic color scheme, but with a modern aesthetic.
