You should ABSOLUTELY read dark avengers, norman trying and failing to run the world and maintain his image while trying not to go goblin mode is phenomenal, plus the rest of the team is alot of fun, especially bullseye and moonstone

Taskmaster - love it. One of my favorite villains and looks great. Doom - always love a good Doom fig. Iron Patriot - Not familiar with the character, etc. Just not crazy about that shiny plastic. Shiny painted metal does not look like shiny, unpainted plastic.

I’m not sure how I’ve never even heard of this pack, I love the idea of it. I’ll buy anything with Doom in it, Taskmaster is a must, and I’m not a customizer or kitbasher but I’ve got ideas for the Norman head sculpt. Taskmaster really should have a cloth cape too.
This set looks great and they Taskmaster just perfect. Taskmaster is one of my favorite villains so I was almost sold on that. But the Iron Patriot and the Doombot Doom. Perfect. Yes Robo I agree we need an updated Udon Taskmaster and an Agent X. I would take a set with Agency X.
This is so awesome you got an early look. I really wish Hasbro had the confidence to do this more. Honestly this is probably a buy for me. Seige and the Iron Patriot Norman would big part of the tail end of my hard core comic reading. Ill use him for a dark avengers display with Ares, Gargan venom, sentry, Moonstone. Love taskmaster and as happy as i am with the last one, the big need for some doom bot will make it an easy upgrade.
Doom's armoured bits look a lot better in this darker colour, and I love the cloth cloak. I never got that first Doom and regretted it so much! I'd get this for Doom and the Doombot head alone! (Though I hope we get a Doombot army builder single release or 2-pack with a different type of Doombot.) But the rest of the set is solid too. Love Taskmaster being so armed, and I just dig having options with him. Norman's okay. I like the head more than I thought I would, but I wish the red was darker and more metallic.
I’m glad that doom is in this an improvement, but I don’t think I would complain if it was a complete rerelease considering the aftermarket price. It’s such a great figure yet Hasbro improved it with the cloth cape, I love the green of the original but the new green is good too, the skirt is understandable for the character design and the figure I like the original skirt a bit more but I don’t think it’s a bad choice. I wish they had painted the straps on the armor like the original, but the strings and belt buttons being painted makes up for it Iron patriot is amazing, I don’t know what else to say. The Norman head having darkened eyes is giving me the nostalgia of seeing harry in the later seasons of Spider-Man the animated series, and I love it Taskmaster is overdue for a new figure, kinda wish they gave him a cloth cape to match with doom but I guess it would require more tooling to modif to the torso. The head is a improvement over the original
Everyone’s sleeping on Taskmaster from this set but I agree that he may just be my favorite from this 3 pack… and I was already VERY happy with the previous one even if it was Bucky Cap. Love the extra accessories with this and the new head sculpt. I can hear his MvC3 voiceovers just looking at the figure. Shield skills, just like Cap!
In case it wasn't already clear how much of a treasure you are to the collector community, Hasbro sending you this just reinforces it. As far as I'm concerned most Marvel box sets have at least one figure that is an easy pass for me, but I can't wait for all three of these. I'm not massively familiar with Norman's time as Iron Patriot but I've always liked the concept, plus I've wanted a version of Norman on the shelf separate from the Goblin. The newer Doctor Doom from a few years back is a top 10 Marvel Legends release for me, but I'd be lying if I didn't say that I'd have liked photo real and a less cumbersome cape, so this newer version I'll gladly take. I skipped the previous Taskmaster and he is a major iconic Marvel villain to me, that last one just didn't have the look for me, this new one is much better in that regard. It's a definite tossup between Taskmaster and Doom for which I'm looking forward to more, and Norman I'll happily take too.

I feel theres a missed opportunity here with the norman head sculpt. I would have loved one with the green face paint at the end of Dark Reign when he was completely gonzo.
Coming back to this and seeing in hand pictures it looks like they changed the silver to white for iron patriot, which I personally have no problem with but it’s an interesting decision

I JUST got The Cabal 3 Pack from Amazon TODAY July 24 2024..& I noticed that ALL the SILVER parts on Iron Patriot shown in this video are now WHITE.. which IMO looks MUCH better because it will POP on the shelf.. also even tho I already had the Super Skrull wave Dr Doom..I don't mind having this one as well..& as far Taskmaster..I came close to buying him o the aftermarket MANY times for about $30... but I'm glad I didn't because this one is obviously a HUGE upgrade. Hasbro's finally learned their lesson and didn't make Iron Patriot a _complete_ reuse of the Extremis Iron Man. For the past almost 15 years, various companies have been making Iron Patriot's that are complete repaints of a previously released Extremis Iron Man when it actually isn't supposed to be. Norman's armor was likely modified from a Model 25 of Tony's, the one that preceded the Extremis. Sure, this figure does still reuse parts from the Extremis but it has more new parts that actually make it accurate.
I want doom and tasky but I can’t justify the price with the iron patriot in there. Already got cable, Luke and Iron fist, Wolverine, and ghost rider in the next week in the last month. Really biting my lip on it but my wallet can’t handle lol

I didn't get the first Hasbro Taskmaster. We never had a Hasbro Iron Patriot, and Doom has parts to become a Doombot. This 3 pack works for me.

The comic Iron Patriot first appeared in Dark Avengers in 2009, while the MCU had Rhodes have a version of the armor starting in Iron Man 3, in 2013.

Hasbro's finally learned their lesson and didn't make Iron Patriot a _complete_ reuse of the Extremis Iron Man. For the past almost 15 years, various companies have been making Iron Patriot's that are complete repaints of a previously released Extremis Iron Man when it actually isn't supposed to be. Norman's armor was likely modified from a Model 25 of Tony's, the one that preceded the Extremis.
Sure, this figure does still reuse parts from the Extremis but it has more new parts that actually make it accurate.

I want doom and tasky but I can’t justify the price with the iron patriot in there. Already got cable, Luke and Iron fist, Wolverine, and ghost rider in the next week in the last month. Really biting my lip on it but my wallet can’t handle lol
