As some of you pointed out, yes there is a slight editing error. Both Brooklyn Brawler and Tommy Dreamer teamed with Miz and Del Rio in 2012 so some of the footage there doesnt match the commentary exactly, honest mistake by my editing team sorry yall lol

This man Del Rio went from being a multi time world champion, winning the Royal Rumble and Money in the Bank, facing guys like Cena, Edge, Orton, Punk, Mysterio etc, WrestleMania matches. To now wrestling in a basketball gym in from of 15 people. If that’s not the definition of a brutal downfall then I don’t know what is 💯

I've met Del Rio in India. Too much attitude. Basically pretends that fans don't even exist. Superstars like Sheamus and Ziggler are basically his opposite.

I stopped watching a decade later though. When the new guys started coming in.

I use to love this guy but in between i stopped watching wwe. When i started watching again, i really wanted to see where this guy is now or why he was fired. Thank you for making video about it!
I’m surprised no mention was made of the brief run Del Rio had in TNA/GFW. Granted it was nothing to write home about, but it is funny to note they tried to make him the next big Latin star with how much they pushed him and they ran into all the same problems WWE did, only in a shorter time frame.
And also his run in Lucha Underground in 2015 after he was fired the first time, where he was actually doing great work and had story set up for the next season of the show, then went back to WWE instead.
Del Río and Paige were 2 of the biggest wastes of investment the WWE ever made, 2 very ungrateful people.

Honestly, given Del Rio's actions, he had this coming. And at this point, it wouldn't surprise me if he completely dropped out of wrestling, or even ealked away from sports entirely in a few years. Yeah it sucks that he felt screwed by WWE, but that's no excuse for the things he did after his time there.

Crazy he thinks he was screwed when he won major titles, won big at ppvs, faced top stars and was the face of the company at one point.

Not gonna lie, I was actually a HUGE ADR fan back in the day. I even met him twice(One at Summerslam Access and the other time was at The Wrestling Guy Store in Los Angeles). One of my favorites matches of his was when he fought The Big Show in a Last Man Standing match on a SmackDown episode in 2013, cause it gave me motivation to make a change in my health and lose weight.(Not kidding here. That actually happened to me.) Great heel, won multiple world titles, etc.. I mean, it's really a shame that he went downhill from there. I'm sad about it, but in a way, not really surprised either way.

Just a slight discrepancy in 2013 Royal Rumble Del Rio Defended the World Title not won it. He won it at the final Smackdown of 2012 in a last man standing match.

It’s hilarious how the WWE always pushes guys like this and body builders but actual wrestlers like Ziggler never get a push. Besides Lesnar, Lashley never really got a push either. It’s one of the reasons I just quit watching wrestling. The people who can actually wrestle are just jobbers for body builders who can’t run a 100 yards without being tired. Maybe if Ziggler had went to Bellator they’d have pushed him a little like Lashley because he won some real fights. But it’s a shame if you can actually wrestle you have to win professional combat sports to get a push on scripted wrestling. WWE is just a circus show. The real athletes aren’t rewarded, the circus freaks are.
Ziggler was never that good. He just knew how to sell. Sometimes a little too welland it made him injury prone.

I was in that high school gym match, it was a good show, he teamed up with sin cara(unico) and put a good show. Plus it was a Cowboys vs Phili that night at AT&t Stadium. Which was also strangely played live on the screen.
I never really cared for him. He had some charisma but was strangely bland at the same time. Pushed way too fast as well. I feel like half the reason he got over to some degree was Ricardo.

This is genuinely depressing, I used to watch this guy all the time (on WWE shows). I basically grew up watching him, Sin Cara, Cody Rhodes, Rey Mysterio, and etc. he was so entertaining.
I remember seeing him in luxury cars, I used to think he was super rich and owned all of them

I mean dont feel sorry for him. He did awful things, and the guy performs in school gyms because he wants to. He could go back to Mexico and make it big again there if he wanted to. For me personally Del rio was the biggest heel during 2012-14, truthfully 11 was the year when i started watching WWE and 12 was when i was submerged in it, and obviously i was a kid, i usually use to compare wrestlers to comic or Manga characters, and Del rio was similar to Luthor for me back then, the guy usually took L's and only had about 2 wins over Cena, and Both the times Cena was handicapped one way or another.

I always found him to be dull. He was everything wrong with the WWE around that time (early 2010s): sanitized, boring scripted promos, being told we should cheer for a guy just because the office turned him babyface.
They had so many guys around that time like Wade Barrett, Drew McIntyre, Ted Dibiase Jr., Alex Riley, Damien Sandow and Curtis Axel who just kind of fizzled out.
When I first saw him I thought his name was 'Elburito Del Rio'
It's crazy how his allegations were proven false and hes apologized for his backstage antics but people still hate this man. I think he deserves another chance he was another one of those guys who was pushed to the main event to quick and it killed his run. Bro had the look, in ring skills to be the next big major Hispanic figure in wrestling maybe one day.
Most people dont know that the allegations were proven false. Media is quick when is about rumours, bad news or dirt, but they never care about proved innocence.
I was a staff writer for WWE from 2010-2011 and I saw Alberto call like 8 people racist. He’s a very bitter man and I never got it. Bitter over what? You had your whole career handed to you at every turn.
