Daniel Fisher (the dude who wrote the owner's manual for the Moog One) was thoroughly impressed with the value and features of the Cre8audio NiftyKEYZ keyboard and Eurorack case! I did not realize the Nifty Keyz had a eurorack built on to it. That is really cool. Brilliant idea, and very lucky for Cre8audio to have Daniel to demo it.
Its still doesnt compute , why Waldorf stopped the production of there beautiful Modular Keybord case - i was going to get one - so im so happy that Cre8 Audio took over -
Great idea behind the product, and I'm sure it's found many happy buyers, but in my opinion a better direction would've been creating a *dedicated controller* without 112hp space, but instead with more CV gizmos e.g. extra mod wheel(s), joystick and maybe even second sequencer. Then, separate, *stackable* cases of similar width as the NiftyKeyz i.e. 27-28", should be offered to allow users to expand their systems and go vertical. I just don't think 112hp is enough to take advantage of the NiftyKeyz' potential, and the space would've been much better used by expanded controls. Maybe time will come for such a version of NiftyKeyz and matching cases! 🙂
This is realy very interesting instrument, Thank you fo this presentation. I have 2 questions: 1 - Is it possible to cv sync it wiht external cv clock? 2 - Also at 12:56 is said that all of cv can be transmited as a midi data to DAW. Could you expand on this? How practically would it look like? How is it possible to use Midi CC in DAW from CV to Midi? Thank you!
Hi soul inspirations. It does look difficult when watching other people do it. But, when you patch something yourself, trying things, undoing them, and trying again, until you get what you like, you will find that you know everything about your creation. -_Daniel_
Hi Distorm. The NiftyKEYZ can send four separate sets of Gate/Pitch CV. So you can have four notes of polyphony if you go to four oscillators and four VCAs. (Can be internal or external modules). -_Daniel_
Hi, Daniel. I am experiencing an annoying MIDI feedback loop with my NiftyKeyz due to all my keyboards having dedicated IN, OUT, and THRU ports, but NiftyKeyz not. I use Local-OFF mode, sending MIDI to my DAW and back to the NiftyKeyz. However, because the OUT/THRU is combined, the NiftyKeyz sends everything it receives back through the MIDI OUT/THRU, causing the loop. I couldn't find an option in the manual to disable MIDI THRU. Could you guide me on how to resolve this issue?
@@sweetwater Thank you, Daniel. I sent it, too. They will eventuelly include it in the next update iteration, which could take month... But I ask myself how such combined MIDI-OUT/THRU could ever work, what is the idea behind it? I mean, honestly, it's directly leading to a MIDI feedback loop in connection with a DAW. Or do you see there is another solution to this problem?

Daniel looks like a mad, mad scientist behind that thing with sll the wires everywhere "IT'S ALIIIIIIIIIIVE!"
Thank your Richard, you're truly the man of the year
Delighted that Cre8te has partnered with Pittsburgh Modular. Capt’n Big-O sounds as good as VCOs costing a lot more!
Informative and entertaining! You really got me smiling a few times. Great job, guys!
I have one it's great get it!

Wow! Sweetvideo (see what I did there?)! Thanks Sweetwater, Richard, and Daniel!
Thanx for taking up , where Waldorf left - (What WERE they thinking ??? )
GENIUS LOVE IT!

VERY cool stuff! What mixer is being used here within the NiftyKeyz?
Hi Sean. That was a prototype module that was never actually developed. -_Daniel_
Sounds great and looks difficult!

Hey, so you set the case up with 3 VCO and Filters so it can play a chord with 3 Notes is that right?

Can you create Buchla-like sounds with this synth? Thanks.
Depends on wich modules you put in. The keyboard does not generate sound by itself

Hi BurkhardusX, I couldn't find anything in the manual I have here, so I sent your question to the cre8audio folks. -_Daniel_

It is posible if Behringer releases the Solina STRINGS desktop or any other Behringer desktop to adapt it to this keyboard?
Yes
