Step by step Design of 5000 TR district cooling plant using Revit - part 1

District cooling means the centralized production and distribution of cooling energy. Chilled water is delivered via an underground insulated pipeline to office, industrial and residential buildings to cool the indoor air of the buildings within a district. Specially designed units in each building then use this water to lower the temperature of air passing through the building's air conditioning system.
The output of one cooling plant is enough to meet the cooling-energy demand of dozens of buildings. District cooling can be run on electricity or natural gas, and can use either regular water or seawater.
District cooling is measured in refrigeration ton which is equivalent to 12000 BTU's per hour
District cooling systems can replace any type of air conditioning system, but primarily compete with air-cooled reciprocating chiller systems serving large buildings which consume large amounts of electricity.

To assign a view template and keeping the parameters active, go to project browser and right click on the floor and select apply template properties. This will include all the filters,scale, visibility,etc... for the selected view

Dear AMJ,
I have an issue while working on roof plan. View Range tab is disable in roof floor plan. I follow the step which is mentioned in your video. But it wont enable. Pls clarify how to solve this issue.

Hi mate,
I also had that problem, however, I solved it.
You may be able to find the 'View Template' in the Properties and change the names into 'None'.
Than the View Range will be activated.

View range tab is disabled since there is a view template assigned to this floor. To adjust this issue click on the view template under identity data in the properties. When you press a list will appear showing the different templates available. Simply press on none and all the disables parameters will be active again
