I'm a sucker for box reviews, but I do see your point, a build of the kit is really the only good info you can get. That said, i do think these diorama kit unboxings are a little more helpful. Ive been back building kits since Covid lockdown and I am very interested in trying one of these dio kits out soon. Looking forward to your next build.
Looks good! You were pretty lucky to get it in one piece, with a Humvee and a couple of figure you should have a great diorama. Thanks for sharing John, take care and keep up the good work my friend.
Hey thanks Damon! Honestly I expected it to be broken so I was pleasantly surprised. I'm actually looking forward to building it when the time comes. Thanks again for watching.
Hi John, that plasrer bace etc looks very nice, very much like the VLS gear that was out a few years ago, good luck when you get to 'play' with them, I have twp more days at work then two days off, take care and keep safe mate best regards from a Kiwi living in Australia.
Hi Les! I was pleasantly surprised with the look of the plaster castings. I think it'll make for a great diorama. Thanks for stopping in - best regards from Texas!
John, I have to be the ignoramus here and ask you what 'hydro-cal' is, as it's a term I've never heard before. Also, please give an estimate of the diorama component's weight is. Addendum: I just looked up what 'hydro-call' is; white gypsum cement. Is it heavy? Brittle? Impact resistant? Fragile?
Hi Kip - hydrocal is used frequently in model railroading for scenery as an alternative to plaster. It's definitely more durable than plaster. It's not particularly heavy - I'll try and weigh it. If I don't post then remind me on the community section of my channel. Good to hear from you!
Looks good value for the money and as you build it gives you options to enhance it
Definitely Greg- for $25 you really can't go wrong. I'm looking forward to using it.
Thanks for review. Love those seven clips!
Every time I hear "open box" I think of that scene! Thanks for watching.
