Hi John, that was a very honest and good review, I assume you will be building the kit sometime in the future, one thing I can not u derstand with all these modern kits coming out, is why is there so many glaring mistakes, these kit should almost be perfect, including the instructions, best regard to you and your family and friends in The Lone Star State.
Hi Les - couldn’t agree more! The lack of research and the annoying habit of marking things “optional” with no reference is just maddening. Regards from Texas!
Thanks for that man appreciate it, I ordered this kit today with the same aftermarket you’re considering, turned a £100 kit into a £200+ kit 🤦🏽♂️, but hey it’s one of my favourite jets and will look awesome when done, hope you start building this soon so I can build in sync hopefully !
Honestly I’ve got at least two other 1/32 projects coming before I tackle this gem. Hopefully in the meantime I’ll gather up the necessary items and research before I begin. Thanks for watching!
Thank you John great review. I may consider getting one to follow your build. BTW the Kinetic Harrier turned up so if I do get one it may stay in the stash until I get the Harrier done. PS liked the intro as well!
Well Syhart doesn't do 1/32 so I will def have to get this for the decals. Just have to find a setting solution that works with these. Going to order from Sophia.
Hey John nice review buddy if you want to do a 2000D or an 2000N model you need to change the entire cockpit as the model depicts a Mirage 2000B the trainer, the difference between the 2000D and 2000N is the 2000D is the bomber and the 2000N is the nuclear strike version. I think it’s a great kit despite all the bad press I also did a review on this kit too and I’m now going to finish her up as I’ve just ordered some decals from Chris at FFSMC as soon as I get them I’ll put up a review take care bud and I’ll look forward to your build if you need any help with it just give us a shout cheers take care 👍🏻😉🍻🇬🇧
Thanks for the info Clive - I guess just like every other KH kit there will be a lot of research before the build. I'll be looking for your review. Cheers from Texas!
@@MisterGsWorkbench there’s a book I have and as far as I know there’s no other book that’s gone to print showing the mirage 2000D/N cockpits, I looked it up for a friend and it was a ridiculous amount of money. I got that info from the French mirage builders group, Eric jolly is the guy for the cockpits and Chris at FFSMC is your guy for the correct stencils and different squadrons. It’s a beautiful plane and model I’ve not seen your build on the mirage 2000C and if I had the funds I’d buy that one too to go with my 2000D 👍🏻😉🍻🇬🇧
@@MisterGsWorkbench I have that book John it’s ok but again no pics of the D/N cockpits, from what I know they’re both still very classified and it was by chance the book I have on all the variants is the only one with pics of both in. The book you need to look for is check list No2 Mirage 2000 by Philippe Roman and Alain crosnier it’s a very hard book to come by and comes with a silly price tag too, if you don’t succeed give me a shout and I’ll send you the pics if your on Facebook and use wats app the pics go free I’d prefer to use wats app as no copyright rules get broken that way 👍🏻😉
As someone who is at the painting stage of this model...I can totally understand why KH is no more. Quite possibly the most oblivious/wrong instructions I've ever seen. And deciding to break parts down next to, but not on panel lines leaves one scratching their head...and filling unnecessary lines and re-scribing others. One must be diligent and aware of exactly which plane you are building to be able to use the exact parts necessary. As an aircraft maniac, this was just par for the course, but some model builders who are not quite as aircraft fanatical will have no clue as to what goes where or why. I have also noticed some reviewers have or have not received the weapons and pylons decals with their kits. I was one who did NOT get that...yaayyy.🙄 Also, needed to purchase the aftermarket rezkit nozzle/engine because my resin nozzle cured too small to fit the actual fuselage, and since KH decided that no plastic nozzle should be available in the kit as well...and as their stencil decals that should be orange being bright yellow...the hits just keep coming. Someone with no clue, who spent $100++ for this kit does not deserve the coming headache. Luckily this kit was gifted to me, so I only spent money on the aftermarket stuff(N version cockpit as well). Problem is I can't source any decals for the pylons and tanks I am using. Builders...pick up a reference book on the 2000 before starting the build. And ignore KH color callouts...many are incorrect. Just use your eyeballs on photos of real aircraft and don't believe what the instructions are saying.
Excellent observations - there's a lot of work needed to get this kit finished in an acceptable manner. I've got Quinta instrument panels and new decals - I hope to build this later this year. Thanks again for your comments, and thanks for watching!
Awesome!... beautiful plane.. like a dart! ✈️👍
I'm looking forward to building it as soon as I clear a couple of projects from the bench. Thanks for watching!

Use setting solution and a hair dryer.

what is a short shot???
A short shot is when the molten plastic fails to fill the mold completely and a section of the part is missing.
@@MisterGsWorkbench Thank You Sir
