What often gets overlooked is that New Zealand is a tiny nation in comparison to their rivals in the sport, only 5m population. For comparison South Africa and France have 60m and 70m respectively! To produce a never ending line of world class rugby players from a small pool of people is remarkable. It’s clearly in their blood 💪
Don't forget Ireland.
@@marieogara1036 ya cant compare ireland to nz all blacks nz has won the most games in history against all. no comp there

I am an Australian and we have a trophy called the Bledisloe Cup for a series of rugby matches between New Zealand and us (the Aussies). They have repeatedly beaten us for the cup for quite a few years and that my friend is the series you should travel to and watch. It really is so intense; the passion that both sides display is really incredible.
And if you are really researching sport you should stop off in Australia to take in the State of Union ( I think ) which is two powerful Australian league teams going at it.

@@maryjanedodo thank you
a big beautiful cup it is too
My family is from the same town as Lord Bledisloe, you should visit the church in town (St. Mary's) as one of the stained glass windows is dedicated to him with a Kiwi on it. It is beautiful.
The All Blacks and Springboks have played each other 103 times, with the All Blacks leading the series 61 to 38, with 4 matches drawn.
104 now, with the Alll Blacks leading the win count with 62 to 38
Don't update it now!
Lol
The New Zealand All Blacks, by far, are the most consistently successful sports team in history over the past 100+ years. Over the past 4 years they have maintained a winning percentage of 94.44% Their winning percentage since 1903 is 77.09%...yes that is a winning percentage of 77.09% over a period of 112 years.
You nailed it bro. !!!
Love how YOU COPIED this comment from a sports section and put it here…..lol…..totally had me going for second, then I realised I had seen this before written by an actual sports writer lol…..bravo 😜🧐
excerpt taken from same comment -
Not to mention they have maintained the number 1 world ranking for 11 out of the 13 years that the ranking system has been in use (since 2003), longer than all other teams combined. They have won the rugby world cup (a once every 4 years event), 3 times, the first country to do so. Last year (2015), they became the first country to win consecutive world cups. They are also the only international side with a winning record against every opponent; and since their international debut in 1903 only five nations have defeated New Zealand in test matches, (England, France, Wales, Australia and South Africa).
That's a true stat there. Small population but can still keep the big guns real.
@@bronzemen34don’t tell the Irish only 5 teams have beaten them
I could be mistaken but I'm pretty sure the All Blacks are the most "winningest" sports team in all of elite level sports in history.
I've read this in 3 to 4 articles and references made to this statistic. The All Blacks win loss ratio is mind-blowing, and winning could be said to be the expectation whenever they play. I'm not saying they're invincible, but they're darn good.
Currently have a 75% win ratio and a positive win % over EVERY team they have ever played. so yes. are the most winning international team of ANY sport in history.
Yeah so they’re the most prolific winning team in sports history and that’s all sports
The Mighty All Blacks from New Zealand, country with less than 5 million people.
yes they have the best win loss record of any team in any sport [ at top level ]
The haka is Indigenous to the Māori people of New Zealand, although it is related to similar rituals around the Pacific. The All Blacks have two haka they perform regularly. Ka Mate was written by the chief Te Rauparaha in around 1820 to celebrate his escape from pursuing enemies. The All Blacks always perform Ka Mate when they play in the Wellington region of New Zealand, as that was Te Rauparaha's area of influence.
The second haka is Kapa o Pango, (Team of Black) which was written specifically for the team in 2005.
It is decided by the captain and team which of the two haka they will perform before a match.
Tks man im a Kiwi lived half my life in Wellingbone...lr Hutt. Never Knew that about Ka Mate.
The haka is a demonic war dance shared across all cultures of the world. Jesus is the only way. As a kiwi maori culture is as demonic as it gets.
The Ngati Toa chief, Te Rauparaha, was from Kapiti (Island), not Wellington. The All Blacks have more hakas in their repertoire than just Kamata or Kapa O Panga (or as Australians refer to it as "throat slitter")
I love it when the comments have more knowledge than the video poster! :p
He escaped by hiding in a kumara pit.
Way back when I was in university, the All Blacks came to our school to play an exhibition game against the Canadian national team, which included one of my friends. My friend on the Canadian team was a big guy: about 6'3" or 6'4" and probably about 240 pounds of almost pure muscle. The All Blacks absolutely demolished us, and my buddy was whining about how much he hurt for a week 🤣 He didn't have any real injuries other than a ton of bruises: he just hurt all over after that game lol
That’s a crack up story 👍 Kia ora
Thats a gem memory mate. Thanks for sharing.
I'm a New Zealand Maori and I love our All Blacks . In saying that I love South African rugby too . I grew up in a time when rugby was a major fixture in the home. When our All Blacks toured South Africa our parents would let us stay up till early hours in the morning to watch the game on tv. Not every home had a television back then. I remember our home packed with neighbours and friends playing cards (poker) , eating and drinking, while waiting for the game to start. Even us kids played poker for money. My stepdad would give me all his change (coins). It was a great time to be had by everyone ❤. New Subscriber 😊
'Haka' comes from the Maori culture which is indigenous to New Zealand - which is why the All Blacks perform it. Haka is done for many different occasions be it a celebration, a challenge or even a sad occasion. There are literally thousands of Haka that have been written and performed. The ABs perform the 'Ka Mate' haka which is well known throughout NZ, they also have their own haka (written for them) which is Kapo o Pango' (Kapo = Team, o = of, Pango = black (colour). What the Pacific Island teams do is not a haka. Fijians perform the Cibi (pronounced 'Thimby), the Samoans do a 'Siva Tau, and the Tongans do "Sipi Tau' . To many they might look similar, but to anyone who is part of those cultures the styles, and the languages, are uniquely different.
Or Australia mate!!!!
Thanks for this! 😊
Bro, you have GOT to react to Jonah Lomu. The greatest player of all time, he was an absolute freak of nature. You wont believe what he was capable of.
Great reaction, see you in NZ when you hit 500k
ruclips.net/video/-n0urTQO-KU/видео.html
Guess you dont go far back .
He's not the greatest player of all times. I know many mire & some were on the field for that Haka.
@@my12spoonswithrose43 no he was just hyper promoted in a time when the union was bleeding top players to league.
@@my12spoonswithrose43 Jonah may not have the best statistics, but he was the first ambassador for Rugby because he was the most feared and respected, and loved by more than one nation. How many professional sportsman come back from near death, get a new kidney, then make the world's best team again? Rest in peace Jonah.
Long ago they did the Haka for the first time to intimidate a Welsh Rugby team at home, I believe, in Wales. The Welsh watched them then turned to the crowd and began to sing their National Anthem. All the Welsh voices filled the stadium. Both teams now do the same thing whenever and wherever they play and have a great respect for one another.
When I was a kid there was nothing better than watching the ABs play the Welsh live at 3 in the morning. Would bring tears to my eyes to hear the crowd sing bread of heaven.
That was actually the first time a countrys national anthem was performed before any sporting event in history. Thankyou Rugby.
The All Blacks are arguably the best Rugby team in the history of the game.
I am Australian and therefore don't bear any cultural bias.
It must be kept in mind that Rugby is more than the national sport in NZ; it is more like a religion, so they play with a deeper sense of passion and pride. Their commitment to the game is total.
Respect.
Never underestimate The All Blacks when it comes to a World Cup. They always get criticised a lot if they don’t play to their supposed potential. But that’s how much pressure your under when you’ve always been the No.1 team in international rugby eyes to beat. For a small population of only 5 million, you have to hand it to them. That’s just how amazing they are to develop legendary teams and players.
I love at the end of the Haka, where Ma'a Nonu (front centre with red boots) runs his finger along his throat and then points straight at his opposite number. The man was a true warrior on the field.
Statistically, the All Blacks are without doubt the best international rugby team ever. Over the last 130 years they've got a winning record of 76%. That's insanely good.
The next best historically is south africa at 62%.
No other team is above 60%. England, France, Australia, Wales are all around 50% to 55%.
Highest win-loss ratio/percentage for any international team in the history of sport, not just rugby union.
Being a New Zealander, these guys are the best. Not only great players but great people. It's really interesting watching the reaction of people who play different kinds of sport and the comments that are said. Hope you do get to visit my country and get to enjoy watching a Rugby game.
Love South African Rugby, especially when they play the All Blacks.
I’m a New Zealander through and through and in my mind there is no stronger foe in International Rugby for the All Blacks than South Africa.
Love Rugby full stop!
The respect of each and every team you play is built into the game, no matter another teams ranking they can lift themselves against higher ranked opponents and beat them.
Kia Kaha
Seems like Ireland, or this current Ireland under this current AB management, seems like they have your number too! 😖
At the moment as an AB supporter I would be more confident playing the Boks at Ellis park than Ireland in Dublin and France in Paris.
@@BisiLIFE Every dog has his day. And Ireland is having theirs. Good on them, yes, but the All Blacks will always the best
@@BisiLIFEit took the Irish over 100 yrs and some help from Canterbury Crusaders for that to change
Much respect for highlighting the All Blacks and not only the wonderful tries they score but the Haka and our indigenous culture. Kia Kaha (Be Strong)
TON is Tonga. NAM is Namibia (hope I spelt that right ). You got the rest right. Also the player who scored the the last try you played was not in the Haka. TJ Peranara stated his All Black tenure years latter. The leader of that Haka was Peri Wepu. Also the Haka is a form of war dance, but it is more a challenge to the opposition to come forth and play the All Blacks in a hard but fair game of Rugby, with sportsmanship, pride, and entertainment being the winner of the occasion. Other country's that have their own form of Haka are Pacific Island nations such as Tonga, Samoa, Fiji e.t.c. But the All Black Haka is the most reccognised. As far as the the All Blacks being the best team in world rugby? Of course they are. They are the team that every rugby playing nation strives to beat. But then, I am a Kiwi, so I'm a bit one eyed, Eh Mate.
If you ever get the chance to come 'down under' to watch the rugby, I would suggest coming to the Rugby Championship down here and make the effort to see multiple games, the championship is played between the Springboks (South Africa) the All Blacks (New Zealand) the Wallabies (Australia) and the Pumas (Argentina). These series have helped to cement Southern Hemisphere Rugby as the best in the world (before the 'Championship', was the 'Tri-nations' between 'boks, All Blacks and Wallibies, the Pumas were added a few years ago to even out the number of games (and time between), and it has helped them to improve, when you play with the best you learn how to compete with the best). But for pure flair, islander rugby is THE BEST (Samoa, Tonga, Fiji), for them rugby is the most important thing in the world, they love it, live it and play it.
As for blowouts, I think the Wallabies still hold the record at 137-0.
I am from South Africa, so I want to say South Africa is the Best!!!!! SA AND NZ both has 3 world cup winning trophies (more than anyone else) BUT I have to give the "all time best to NZ at this moment. the always BRING it. Even now where they have issues and problems, the are STILL 1 of the favourites to win this years World Cup. They also the ONLY team YET to defend the world cup tittle
NZ defended the world cup in 2015 the first to rugby nation defend it on home soil after winning the cup in 2011

Respect to you and the boks.
Really so who's won the most matches all blacks or springboks and I don't recall the boks ever running 50pts up against the blacks like we did on you
@@user-lx5zt1tl1v I was at that game; it was at the North Harbour stadium in 2017. What a a win 🤙🏽🇳🇿
When the AllBlacks do a Haka, the type of Haka they choose is not only a challenge, it is also a sign of respect for the other team. Thanks for looking at other sporting cultures it's greatly appreciated. Much respect to you! 🙏
NZ and Australia have a great competitive streak with each other, but they also have great respect for each other too. Our Bledisloe Cup games are amazing for both nations. Love our guys 'All Blacks'. Our women's team are just as legendary. We've had great games against some great countries. South Africa, Ireland, England, Scotland, and of course Australia. The Haka is an awesome 'All Black' tradition, our guys, although not all Maori, give goosebump performances. As a kiwi raised with eight brothers; rugby was big in our lives. Thanks for the reaction!!
First off RESPECT for recognising the teams already! And learning the rules and difference between union and league 👏 You're pretty onto it with the haka too 😊 The population of NZ is pretty small (just over 5 million) but if you keep reacting to the All Blacks and rugby, the subs will come! 💯 Subbed! 😊
Thanks! Just doing my best to understand a sport I’ve thought was really cool for a long time but now I know it’s awesome after learning a lot of the rules and teams

I think that Haka was from the second world cup the all blacks won, I flew home to NZ for it. They were under alot of pressure & everything that could go wrong, pretty much did, but they won, it was an insane night in the country. There used to be a really good doco about that world cup on youtube. But they've also played in the states, not this year but you should keep an eye out for the next time they come there.
It must seem amazing for Aericans to see teams from different countries playing each other.
Excellent work in doing your research and showing respect for the teams, players and the game. It’s not always apparent with ‘reaction’ videos. As someone else suggested, watch a highlights reel of Jonah Lomu’s tries - absolute legend of the game and even more so when you consider the health issues he carried for a lot of his career. He is sadly missed.
The guy you watched score last was TJ Perinara the big guy on the Right was Kierin Reed who took over as captain the following season when the Greatest Player of All Time Richie McCaw retired
When Ritchie was captain, and they had that amazing year undefeated, we dubbed them the MaCawesomes in my house.
Seriously, the US MLR is highly entertaining as it is primarily recently retired experienced players from the UK, Australia, NZ and South Africa, as well as a lot of home grown US talent.
Rugby on the telly is one thing, but when you go to a game you will get something quite different from the experience.
I signed up to get you one step closer and I hope it is soon b/c I know you will enjoy yourself. I love both soccer and rugby and the Haka gives me the chills, it's awesome.
The ABs have produced some great players. Jonah Lomu will always be a favourite. RIP.
I am from NZ and I will love the All Blacks all my life, But I make no secret that South Africa is my second favourite team. If NZ loses early in the Rugby World Cup (we haven't performed well recently), then I always hope that South Africa will be Victorious because they're hugely talented and love and respect rugby, like NZers do.
TJ Perenara GOT that miracle try in the corner. He was the halfback. The guy on the left was Kieran Reid, the number 8 (ie a forward; one of the big guys on the paddock). The haka is taonga Maori - the All Blacks brought it to the international stage and the ABs are about the winningest team in international sport, any code, in history!!! Up there at about 80-plus percent. The team you showed doing the haka won the 2015 Rugby World Cup (RWC) and is truly one of the all-time great rugby teams, any country and period. We've (ie the ABs) have won 3 RWCs, so have our great rivals South Africa's Springboks, the Australian Wallabies have as well, and England (who invented the sport) have won it once. France and Ireland are the chancers this year (to be held in France). Both really good sides.
Oh, and yip, I'm a true-blue AB fan!!!
Ireland are Number 1 in the world at present. Not bad for a country with only 6mill population and the fact that rugby is only the 3rd most popular field game to play in the emerald Isle. All Black's are the most successful team ever, they take rugby very seriously down under. Best game ever.
Bro, this video is rad!
You need to review the ‘ka mate’ haka. It’s got a totally different vibe to this newer haka.
I’m a kiwi and it was so awesome to see your response!
New Sub from NZ. An upload called "Haka History" is short & explains the Haka perfectly. The Haka's performed at Jonah Lomu's funeral is one of the most heart-wrenching. Love to see you react to that. It is NZ .Good luck getting your numbers up on your channel.!
You don't have to travel all the way to South Africa or New Zealand. The 2 countries are playing against each other in London in August as a warm up for the September world cup in France.
My SIL plays rugby. The first time I met him was when my daughter brought me to a game. About 10 minutes after we got there he was on the receiving end of one of the slamming pile-ups. Bent his two middle fingers backwards darn near touching his wrist. The medic(they always have one at all their games), taped his fingers up and he was back in the game. It made me smile. I knew he could handle my 6-foot-tall daughter and her love of life and adventure. They've been happily married almost 13 years. He still plays and now coaches my granddaughters, 8 and 6, who both play and love it!
All Blacks vs South Africa this weekend! Epic! Greatest rivalry in world rugby. Make sure you catch it bro. From a Kiwi. Loved your reaction ❤
One of the main differences between American Football and rugby is the scoring of a try compared to a touchdown. To score a touchdown you only have to get the ball over the goal line. In rugby if you get the ball over the goal line, the ball has to be touch to the ground before the score is given. If a defending player picks you up and carries you out of bounds before you touch the ball to the ground, the try is not given.
The difference I believe as a Kiwi is, they play as a team no one person is a hero. The ball passes from one to another, and it doesn’t matter who falls across the line it’s a try. The standout over the years I think everyone would agree, was the late Jonah Lomu.
Bro if you’re gonna go anywhere to watch rugby you have to go to France this year for the rugby World Cup dude literally every team will be there, and even in the pool stages this year has some of the biggest matchups with NZ v France, and South Africa v Ireland! Should be goooood!!!
Kiwi here, subscribed to help you get to an All Blacks game bro.
Rugby World Cup starts in a few weeks but TODAY(Aug 25) at 1:30pm UTC -5 a match between the All Blacks & Springboks (SA) is happening in Twickenham, London, England. If you can find a way to watch it live you won't regret it but if not a react to the highlights would be dope.
Important to understand a little of the game, in particular that the player's numbers designate an exact playing position.... positions 1 & 3 (the Props) are likely to be 250lb+ and 6'0"-6'4"... so to see them making ground, and clearly making an unopposed try is rare. 1-7 are the scrum that get dirty, 8-15 are the handbags that run and get modelling contracts, 16-22 are the reserves on the bench.
Let me introduce you to Sir Wayne "Buck" Shelford. In 1986 (New Zealand vs France) roughly 20 minutes into the match, he was caught at the bottom of a rather aggressive ruck, and a French boot kicked his groin, ripping his scrotum and leaving one testicle hanging free. He also lost four teeth in the process. After discovering the injury to his scrotum, he calmly asked the physiotherapist to stitch up the tear and returned to the field before a blow to his head left him concussed. He was substituted and watched the remainder of the game from the grandstand
Little known fact… out of respect to the jersey and players who wore the jersey before them, the rules are to never let the jersey touch the ground when cleaning up in the changing shed after a a game.
The team also clean the floor of their shed themselves after a game.
The game of Union in NZ is built on friendship, camaraderie and sportsmanship.
The game itself is a thugs game, played by gentlemen.
Respect.
Am a pacific Islander from Papua New Guinea, and am great fan of All Blacks, thats my team they play cool and wins
Really good team is an extreme understatement. They are the most winningest sports team in human history. That modern man knows of.
Kia Ora bro. That's how greet or say hello or thank you in NZ. Thanks for taking interest in our game. Personally I prefer rugby league. It's a similar version but the hits or tackling is way harder. I hope it catches on over there.
That second clip where #1 scored, that's like an offensive linemen picking up the ball and scoring (Like a Centre or a Guard)
Great content 👍
The next Rugby World Cup in France starts on 8th September. Rugby test match tickets are typically expensive but Rugby World Cup tickets between the top teams are very expensive.
You should check out these two Haka's.. the first one is lead by Tana Umaga and was vs South Africa in 2006. The second one was vs Tonga not sure of the year but, the Team from Tonga answered right back with there own Kaka. Amazing stuff to watch.
One player changed the game forever when he became rugby's first superstar - you only had to say "Jonah " and everyone knew who you were talking about - he was a once in a generation player just watch some of his old vids - sadly passed away not long after the 2015 Rugby World Cup - RIP Big Man
I remember that the only way SA could win the 95 World Cup, was to put 3 men on him, each time it just looked like he might go near the ball… still one of the best finals in my mind.. edge of your seat, nail biting stuff 😳😁.. he was (and is still) a legend!!
Mate good effort, keep it up
I subscribed as you need to experience the ABs at home. Also while you’re here experience our culture
The NZ rugby team first toured England in 1888 and because the majority of the Kiwi p,ayers were Māori, the team was dubbed "black" by the press at the time. This was reinforced by one of the early games (I think at Twickenham, but Icould be wrong), that was played in very heavy mist were players would burst out of the mist from shadows to black forms.
The All Blacks are the team that all other teams in the world are measured against; no questions asked. The Silver Ferns (the NZ women's rugby team) also have the same reputation and many of them are playing off-season in various American conferences.
Yeah; watching the All Blacks dominate and crush the opposition... I've watched that more than once from the stands.
One of the great All Blacks is Jonah Lomu who is famous for his “sidestep”; straight ahead and over the top of the opponent. This man was amazing as he played his entire career with a debilitating illness that eventually killed him. ruclips.net/video/b_dx8wm20EM/видео.html from1:20.
If you want to watch world class rugby and travel to NZ and Australia, go to watch the Bledisloe cup between Australia and New Zealand... bigger than the one nation "superbowl"

“Subbed!” Let’s get you to Aotearoa so you can experience a game. Hopefully when that day does come, it will be the AB’s vs SA. THAT would be a worthwhile trip!
The ABs are the most successful team in any professional sport. The Haka is the New Zealand war dance (though not just war) and the All Blacks were the first team to do it.

There's no contest:
ALL Blacks all the way😎🖤🔥
Great video but perhaps you should move the inset video into the top right or left corners. Only because in most sporting videos the action is taking place on the ground and the inset tends to block some of that.
NZ All Black Sir Wayne "buck" Shelford will always be a rugby football legend because of his 80s game against France, 10mins into the game he went into a aggresive maul losing 3 teeth and having a French boot rip his scrotum open, leaving one testicle exposed he went to the sideline to have it stitched up so he could continue playing
Cool vid bro. Im a maori from new zealand. The all blacks have the record 4 most wins i think. Percentage is like 70 percent. Not sure bou SA tho. They are lethal however. Our most feared opponent in my opinion. Then Australia and France probably
Enjoyed your vlog bro, I'm a huge All Blacks supporter cause I'm a proud Kiwi, Currently living in Western Australia . Are currently looking for a MLR team to support, Any ideas cheers good luck with your channel.
A try requires downward pressure between the player the ball and the ground past the try line (the line on which the posts stand). So all in contact at the same time. Plus player in control of the ball.
the new All Blacks coach is going to be a guy called Scott (Razor) Robertson. He's just finished his last season coaching the Crusaders to their 7th consecutive Super Rugby title. It's going to be an interesting future for the AB's.
I lived in New Zealand for a year of HS as an exchange student. Rugby is their sport. Yes they are also good at Cricket and sailing, but NZ is all about Rugby. Sort of like Canada is all about Hockey. And yes, when I was in NZ I learned a Haka!
here to contribute to that nz trip. I got a room for you bro.
I remember watching a test match back in the 80s or 90s. .All Blacks vs the Wallabies and the Kiwis were doing the Haka. The Aussies thought the best thing to do (rather than just watch) was grin and assume a posture of being amused. I remember Phil Kearns, standing on the half way line grinning, just smiling. It fired the All Blacks up so much, that they just creamed the Aussies as if they werent even there. Wasnt so funny to the Aussies after the match :) Kiwi vs Aussie humour.. love it :)
Registered Rugby players per country. France has the most at around 550,000/ England & South Africa 400,000/ Australia 230,000/ then NZ 150,000/ USA 120,000/ Fiji, Ireland, Argentina, Wales approx 100,000 each. Since the game turned professional you can see how the top five by numbers tend to dominate the rankings. Key notes of these countries rugby is the number 1 sport in NZ, Aust probably has similar player numbers in Rugby League otherwise I suspect they would be talked about in similar level to the All Blacks and Springboks. I expect France and England to continue to get better each year due to player numbers and professionalism. Ireland currently have the best development programme from Schoolboy rugby up, similar to NZ.

The All Blacks are a very very good but the best part is that they make any opposing team bring their very best game to the field which creates amazing games to watch. The ABs have set the high standard for all other teams.
Mate, you could go to the LA sevens (seven a side rugby). I’m a New Zealander, but in sevens I support Fiji because when they are on, they are amazing to watch.
The All Blacks have played a couple games in the States previously. If you came to Aotearoa NZ travel for a Four Nations test then you can see South Africa Springboks v NZ ABs. + Some of those blow out score lines were against lower tiered (ranked) nations
Hi. South African here. NZ have a better track record if we look at historic records. Most of the time NZ are regarded as the best in the world because of their repuation and historic record. Now, with that said, rugby is not a sport where you can rest on your lorrels. There are a couple of teams that are a threat and whilst NZ are good, they aren't the only good team. We must also keep in mind that they are consistently regarded as the world no.1 team with a population of roughly 5 million. That is just insane. Rugby is not just another sport in NZ, it's a culture and every single team in the world not only fears playing the against the All Blacks, they also welcome it and it's a big deal because, well, it's the All Blacks. Teams and coaches know that if they want to win, they are going to have to give it everything they got because even on the bad days, the All Blacks are still warriors until the end. As a South African, I will always support the Springboks and I have great respect for the All Blacks and their accomplishments.
NZ have won the world cup 3 times, so has SA. SA is also the only team to have never lost in the final. SA has only participated in 7 World cups, NZ has appeared in 9. SA has a better win ratio in the world cup. As I mentioned earlier, there are a few teams who can be a threat. Australia can be very good, England has potential, France has potential, Wales can be tricky at times and Ireland are on a hot streak. Now based on historic world rugby events, your favourites to win at a world cup are NZ, SA, Australia or England. Whilst the other teams like France, Wales and Ireland have the potential, they tend to choke under the pressure of the big stage. The biggest threats are the top 3 from the southern hemisphere, Aus, NZ and SA. And to make matters worse, they compete against each other every year in a tournament so you know they will always be improving. Argentina joined the tournament in 2012 and went from being the whipping boys to actually being a decent team in a couple of years because of the high quality of rugby.
Eitherway, whoever you support, it's an exciting game to get into.
The All Blacks have a winning record against all the other teams in the world!
My dad's 77 as a kid his family emigrated to NZ, Rugby was his passion till he returned to the UK and caught the football bug. He supports England, GB and the UK in all competitions but he will always support the all blacks when England play them
The All Blacks are, as far as I am aware, the only professional team in any sporting competition that has a wining percentage AND a positive points differential against EVERY opponent they have ever played against. The closest percentage is against the Spring Boks, where the winning percentage is 59.22%. The two have played 103 games with 61 All Black wins, 38 Springbok wins and 4 draws. In terms of the points differential the lowest, +15, was against a team comprising the best players from the Pacific nations of Samoa, Tonga, Fiji and the Cook Islands. The greatest is against Australia, with a +1330 over 175 matches with the All Blacks winning 122, the Wallabies, or as they are sometimes called, the Wooblies or Wannabies, winning 45 with 8 draws for an All Blacks winning percentage of 69.71%. Interestingly, of the 625 total matches played by the All Blacks, only 23, or 3.7% have been draws with 480wins meaning an overall winning percentage of 76.8%.
As fr the Haka, watching it n TV pales in comparison with watching it live. It still sends a shiver down my spine each time I attend a game and get to witness the Haka.
I am a South African and have to admit that i consider the all blacks to be the greatest rugby nation. I absolutely love the rivalry between SA, New Zealand and Australia always played with great passion
So the Forwards, numbered 1-8 generally are not the players who score tries. They’re the big boys that do all the pushing and holding of ground.
The Backs are normally the try scorers.
I was there for the greatest haka and chills is all i can say.
Keep an eye out for the world rugby sevens. That tour goes through the USA (the USA team does pretty well). Not as physical as the 15 a side but even faster.
I got to all the all black games when they they here in new Zealand i love going to see the game and i quite often go to see the super rugby and and the allblacks are the most winning rugby team ever
The first team sport Haka was performed by the New Zealand All Blacks in 1903 before any other sport team in the world. its has been a tradition for the All Blacks to always lay the challenge
New Zealand All Blacks are THE greatest rugby team ever!!! they were named the greatest team sport ever with the highest win percentage than any other team sport, Man United came in 2nd. The All Blacks are the most successful international men's rugby side of all-time with a winning percentage of 77.12% over 612 Tests (1903-2021). Since playing their first Test match in 1903, the All Blacks have amassed numerous accolades and are considered one of the most prolific teams across any sport
New Zealand has a 76 per-cent winning record in test-match rugby, and has secured more wins than losses against every test opponent. Since their international debut in 1903, New Zealand teams have played test matches against 19 nations, of which 12 have never won a game against the All Blacks
The All Blacks compete with Argentina, Australia and South Africa in the Rugby Championship, and have won the trophy nineteen times in the competition's 27-year history

Watching the Haka for “chill factor” is like stepping in a boxing ring for a light massage
I can offer you free accomodation if you come to NZ! We can go to all the end of year international games in NZ. Also historically NZ is the best team almost in every possible statistic, however teams like SA, Ireland, England, France and Australia are never too far behind, teams from the pacific islands are always very physical, really solid teams coming out of wales and recently Japan aswell
Manaakitanga at its best!!!
@@jms3911 hard bro, always. Kia pai to ra brother
23 years ago I met a Kiwi who was visiting the states. He and I started dating. I had a bed that was low to the ground, only on a box spring. He fell out, and I was so afraid he’d gotten hurt. But then I watched a rugby match on tv. He was, among other things, a rugby coach, which meant he played rugby. I just laughed.
Several years ago I went to Chicago Soldier Feild when the ABS played the US eagles great 10 days there. Then two yrs later when Ireland won the first time against the ABS amazing weekend well done to Ireland. And then the ABS played in Washington DC.
Too soon to bring up that game against Ireland
Ask our greatest and most respected adversary, South Africa !!! and our neighbors Australia who they think is the best in the history of rugby. The All Blacks are the most successful international men's rugby side of all-time with a winning percentage of 77.12% over 612 Tests (1903-2021). They have a winning percentage against every nation and put scores like that at least once against every single nation. Famed for their unmatched international success, the All Blacks have often been regarded as the most successful sports team in history.
The current World Champs are South Africa, who are looking to repeat that achievement this World Cup. This will be the closest World Cup ever with 5 or so teams that have a realistic chance of winning the title, Ireland, France, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand (although the All Blacks build up in the 4yr cycle leading into this World Cup has been below par for them).
Traditionally, the Māori people of New Zealand performed haka to display a tribe's pride, strength and unity. The haka is commonly known as a war dance used to fire up warriors on the battlefield, but it's also a customary way to celebrate, entertain, welcome, and challenge visiting tribes.
The very first New Zealand representative rugby team, known as The Natives, performed a haka during a tour of Britain and Australia in 1888-89.
The haka performed then, Ka Mate, is still performed by the All Blacks today.
Originally, the haka was only performed by the All Blacks when they played overseas. It wasn’t until 1986 that the haka was included in home matches.
From then on, the haka was taken more seriously by the All Blacks and performed with the precision, respect and passion that it is known for today.
Most Pacific Islands have their version of the Haka - Pacific Islands - The Hula, Fiji - Cibi, Samoa - Siva Tau, Tonga - Sipi Tau, Hawaii - Ha'a, and New Zealand Maori - Haka
You need to watch the Haka"s between the High School teams. Both square off. Fantastic to watch
Same as a one side kick the ball only has to travel 10meters then can be picked up
Yep classic Jonah Lomu well worth a watch man was a beast
Heads up Bro the HAKA originated from New Zealand. But good video👍🏾
Glad you enjoyed our rugby though mate 👍🏼☝🏼
was standing on the corner on that first video when George Bridge scored right in front of me
As a proud NZer, you should come to NZ. Rugby is our most popular sport, most young boys and now girls dream to play for the All Blacks. The Black Ferns are our winning Womens Rugby World Cup 2022 team. ❤❤
In 2021, the US Rugby team made the mistake of laughing at the haka. They lost 104-14.
