I go to carowinds about every month since i live 2.5 hours away and the dispatches are always super fast! except once when someone was holding their backpack in their lap and they refused to get off and put it in the bin thing xD
I've worked at Carowinds during the summer, they tell us to go as fast and safely as we can with dispatching, usually we want to go really fast but the guest sometimes are completely clueless when they leave their brains at the door and go incredibly slow
love Carowinds. Thanks for all that you do, theme parks are a magical place where adults and children can get away from BS for a little bit. Plus i've never feared for my safety at Carowinds, been going there for over twenty years now. Definitely can't say the same for state fairs.
This video makes me appreciate the general public in the UK. Over here the get on rides pretty speedy and don't complain about restraints and what not. The ops staff on Nemesis are like Fury's. They get the trains out super fast and can get the ques down to less than 20 mins on extremely busy days.
But you can’t just say “cleared for takeoff” because that would result in another major crash because not every air traffic system has gotten permission from base and warning of the incoming takeoff yada yada yada you know
Funny someone mentioned that. When I worked there and it was still called Top Gun, he did say "for" instead of "to". I think it changed after Cedar Fair came in.
My dad and I nicknamed Carolina Goldrusher "The Bee Coaster" because one time when we were riding, we sat at the brake run afterwards for a little bit and it was enough to get a small swarm of carpenter bees flying around. They were about 7-10 feet away and weren't dangerously close to the train, but a group of girls in the rows behind us started flailing and squealing just like Nicholas Cage. It was hilarious! We were stuck next to the bees for about five minutes waiting for the train in the station to dispatch, but we (Dad and I, obviously not the girls!) had this for entertainment while we were waiting! Oops; I think I just told you the dispatch time, didn't I? ;-) This video's verdict on Goldrusher pretty much sums it up.
When I went, Hurler took a ridiculously long time to dispatch. Didn't help that they were only running one train. Carolina Goldrusher also took an insane amount of time.
the thing to keep in mind here is that most guests could care less how long they're taking because guess what? no matter what, the ride ops have to wait for them. a lot of these dispatch times could be far slower.
You were pretty lucky on hurler carowinds id my home park and a lot of the times I ride hurler the dispatches take over 3 minutes once it took 5 3 weeks ago
When I went to Carowinds I WAS SO LUCKY BECAUSE FURY 325 WAS A WALK ON !!!!!!! THERE WAS NO LINE I JUST IMMEDIATELY GOT ON THE TRAIN!!! I RODE IT 9 TIMES IN ONE HOUR
Report Account all of these dispatch videos are because of operations which includes ride ops, dispatch, and riders. You can’t say a verdict seemed to be iffy because of riders, because riders always have an influence and that’s the point the video is trying to get across.
I agree. When I was there over the summer, the dispatches on Fury and Intimidator were both crazy fast. I wondered of the ops crews were having a friendly competition to see who was faster.
That was a very slow time for Afterburn and they usually dispatch a bit quicker. Nighthawk, well, for Nighthawk that's about as good as it gets. Fury325 crew is on point, as they usually are! 👍
For being my home park...Carowinds does great on their premiere rides like Fury and Intimidator, but they need work on Flying Cobras and Nighthawk...especially Nighthawk...
i was in the line for the nighthawk right in the morning when it opened and i still had to wait an hour to get on, and it took a while to get everyone in the seats, lay the seats down, and all of that stuff. i have to say it is a very good ride though. :)
For nighthawk that was pretty good! one time i was on another train and we had to wait 6 or 5 minuets just for the train in front of us to go Imagine looking straight up for 5 minuets. hell this guy next to us pulled out a map and started looking at it that’s how long it took I don’t know how it stayed in his jacket
These videos are awesome! Its always amusing to see how fast the operations are. Of course, safery is the main priority, so i can understand some operations can be slow, but its always funny to see it take like 10 minutes to get everyone secured.
Man I’m jealous of these American parks little kids can ride these things. Here in Australia you have to be 140cm to ride pretty much anything. Couldn’t get a ride till the 6th grade :/
I always remember whenever I went nighthawk had very slow operations like around 4 minutes. But then Fury 325 was dispatching trains almost every 30 seconds
When I went in August, Fury, Intimidator, and Afterburn had very quick dispatches. Fury's was almost scary how quickly they dispatched it. Vortex, Carolina Cyclone, and Carolina Goldrusher were not particularly great dispatches, but decent. Hurler, Ricochet And Nighthawk were in the middle of the pack. Woodstock Express, Flying Cobras, and Flying Ace Aerial Chase had very slow operations.
I honestly think you guys are very soft reviewing those operations. Like any B&M coaster (except flying & stand up) should be dispatched at LEAST in 40 seconds ... I’m from Belgium and my home park (Walibi Belgium) dispatches a woodie, a Vekoma Boomerang & SLC and more in like max 40-50 seconds ...
If you guys are watching this in 2019, you know the Copperhead Strike is open. Guests are told to push their harnesses down, and the workers will come around and buckle your lap bar. They do it within 30 seconds, and you’re then leaving the station.
This Tuesday was a great day to go cause everyone thought there we’re gonna be storms but it turns out there wasn’t and the employees let us ride Fury, Intimidator, After burn and so on like 3-4 times in a row _/‘OoO’\_
Yes, carowinds does have good operations. Although goldrusher used to have good operations when I rode it a couple of years ago. And now it’s just bad, I would say the goldrusher could use improvement. And some other roller coasters in that area.
Is anyone else a little unnerved at the Vortex dispatcher? “Cleared for dispatch, I guess.” I GUESS??? 😂 i don’t think I’d like to hear that. Might as well just say “yeah, it might be okay to send you off, so good luck!”
I went a few days ago, it had the worst operations I have ever seen... Fury had a 3 minute dispatch time, Carolina Goldrusher and Flying Cobras had 4 minute dispatches. The only acceptable one was Copperhead Strike which had around 1 minute dispatch times. I'm gonna stick to Busch Gardens lol
As a former Carowinds employee, Fury was Carowinds baby and was always running super fast!!! Working at Nighthawk was so miserable because of how long it took for people to cross the train and get buckled. Even when you hustle the rider, they seem to just move slower at nighthawk!! But Carowinds goal is always safety and thus, some rides just load slower than they should, especially since 16 and 17 year olds may be working these coasters and pay is pretty much minimum wage, it causes seats to have to be rechecked!
I went to scarowinds for my birthday in 2021 with my parents, my best friend, and her parents. We got the last ride on Fury, right before the park closed for scarowinds at 5:00. We walked in the queue and we were going up that hill in less than 30 seconds. That was the best experience I’ve ever had on a coaster.
Was Carolina Cyclone running one train? Because when I went, Carolina Cyclone stacked on the brake run worse than Anaconda, which in turn usually has worse stacking than the other three Arrow loopers I have ridden (Viper at Magic Mountain, Corkscrew at Valleyfair, Loch Ness Monster).
Carowinds is the closest “real” amusement park to me. Family kingdom is closer but they aren’t a big and real amusement park like Carowinds. I love Carowinds and I grew up going there. I’m about to go again next week. Can’t wait to ride the copperhead for the first time
When I worked on Raptor at CP our goal was 40 second dispatches and we usually hit that no problem. The biggest delay are guests that have bags etc. or guests that don't clear the platform in a timely manner.
Been to Carowinds several times over the last 2 years and their loading/unloading for Goldrusher has been between 3-4 minutes at times. This past Sunday night we timed it at 4 minutes 23 seconds at the longest point and 3 minutes 12 seconds at the shortest. Really poor considering that ride is less than 2 1/2 minutes and the line was insane for an uncrowded park.
Fury sometimes has five to six people not including the operator on the control box most of the time they run 3 trains definitely a model efficiency if I know one thing Cedar Fair parks have the best dispatch rates over six flags any day cuz they got more people working the rides so they can keep the Lines Moving great job on this video
Dude that Fury dispatch was Gud!
It was good as gold! Baby!
TylerPCoyne just like the ride itself. However, Steel Vengeance (RMC Mean Streak) will destroy it!
TylerPCoyne So far they’re neck and neck.
I go to carowinds about every month since i live 2.5 hours away and the dispatches are always super fast! except once when someone was holding their backpack in their lap and they refused to get off and put it in the bin thing xD
Probably the best dispatch ever.
I've worked at Carowinds during the summer, they tell us to go as fast and safely as we can with dispatching, usually we want to go really fast but the guest sometimes are completely clueless when they leave their brains at the door and go incredibly slow
I love Carowinds :)

Carowinds is good

🎢 Riding in my car gives me more of a thrill. Ohio rides are better
SUGAR XYLER ! Not better than fury

I know people hate the lockers, but it does seem to help with dispatch times. Great Video
0:53 that GP air traffic controller pisses me off so much, it’s “cleared FOR takeoff,” not “TO”
wow I didn't know that why didn't you tell me that earlier I've never heard that before
But you can’t just say “cleared for takeoff” because that would result in another major crash because not every air traffic system has gotten permission from base and warning of the incoming takeoff yada yada yada you know
Batfastard14 When I was standing in line for afterburn I thought the same thing. It made so mad especially when he said it two times.
Does it matter? Its a coaster.
Funny someone mentioned that. When I worked there and it was still called Top Gun, he did say "for" instead of "to". I think it changed after Cedar Fair came in.
These videos are incredible!

Fury. Intimidator. Carolina Cyclone. The Trio!
You were pretty lucky on hurler carowinds id my home park and a lot of the times I ride hurler the dispatches take over 3 minutes once it took 5 3 weeks ago
The Nite Hawk at Carowinds seems to be the slowest, because usually there's only 1 train operational.
I've had 5 minute dispatch times on nighthawk and closer to 30 seconds on fury 325, their dispatchers are sometimes hit or miss
Ok , the Carolina cobra took a while bc it wasn’t a full line and they were letting people entering the line get on
Fury 325 has god-like operation speeds.
38s on Fury it better than all of Cedar Points Operations, that's ridiculous! Also have you been to Ferrari Land or World
Infinite Videos no
Put wii music over this
He should just use Wii shop channel and Mii channel music lol
Or Wii Sports
Omg yessssss
Why does your dog look like my dog
Yes please
One thing to keep in mind is that guests are SLOW. I mean really slow and that often contributes to slow dispatches
YEs
Dispatches were generally much more frequent in the 1990s, back before cell phones and whatnot.
yeah because its the south
Karen Page And before people were... bigger
BRO LITERALLY. AND THIS LADY FRIKIN PULLED OUT HER CIGAR TO SMOKE BEFORE GETTING IN THE COASTER LIKE WHAT ARE U DOING HERE IF U ARE GONNA SMOKE LADY
I need a 10 hour video of fury dispatches.
yes and a counter of how many dispatches are done in 10 hours!
Minty Potato they do about 20 per hour (at least while I was there) so about 200
I saw that at least 1 full row was empty. So all they have to is push the lap bar down all the way. Still great ops
When you film that for 8 hours and than it breaks
Could you imagine the public outrage if one of the parks in your "Operations" videos actually NEEDED the hour portion of that timer?
hahaha
Maybe a Six Flags park will need it lol
*six flags la rhonde has entered the chat*
@@dyedshirt3206 they are really not that slow,
Can watch these all day

How was it?
LavaCore Gaming obviously it was fuckin amazing
I think we were all waiting for this just for fury’s god like crew.
Dooble fury for me has dispatched once in 28 seconds!
This one guy who was working a day I went dispatched us in like 20 seconds
Great operations video! And that Fury 325 operation time was insane! :)
2:31 that dab tho
THATS NOT A DAB LOL
...skrrt and hit that dab like wiz khalifa
38 seconds on Fury 325 . . . wow, that's the quickest dispatch time I've seen on any of these "How Fast are operations" videos.
the flying cobras dispatch seemed to be because of riders, so that's an iffy verdict
I've ridden it probably 20ish times and it always that slow.
Have they ever dispatched Fury at 25 seconds? I just hope they never ever dispatch it at 3 minutes and 25 seconds, or 325 seconds.
haha, once for me they dispatched at 25 seconds, the record time when ive been there is 20 seconds.
3:49 you know it’s gonna be a fun wooden ride when you see those orange lap bars
That's pretty fast for Goldrusher. Usually it takes twice as long. I'm very serious
Do HersheyPark operations on:
Sidewinder
Comet
SooperDooperLooper
Laff Trakk
Wildcat
Lightning Racer
Great Bear
Storm Runner
Fahrenheit and
Skyrush
My home park and he still hasn’t done it
Laff Trakk operations are laughable. Fahrenheit is pretty bad too. The rest are ok.
Lol I was just in a flight to Charlotte and from the plane I saw the best birds-eye view of Carowinds! :D
I saw Carowinds from the plane the last time I had a stopover to Charlotte, too! (I kept my eyes peeled, actually.)
I've been on the fury when a plane flew right above the train xD
I was there at night and you could barely see the plane so it looked like it was going to crash into the intimidator XD
ABBAbeth the hamster *layover*
My goodness if you could see copper head strike’s operations, they’re incredible!
That was a very slow time for Afterburn and they usually dispatch a bit quicker. Nighthawk, well, for Nighthawk that's about as good as it gets. Fury325 crew is on point, as they usually are! 👍
I wish Six Flags would take a look at Cedar Fair operations. I must say Carowinds, Kings Island, and Cedar Point all are usually really fast!
yes, i have been to all and have thought the same :)
Really? Went to SFGAM last month and their dispatches were pretty fast!
Daniel Worley this video shows that most rides at Carowinds don’t have fast dispatches
Fury was almost unbelievable like WOW!!😃 I love my home park in the carolinas.
3:17 he is just hanging there
3:20 new model "Float coaster"

Every guest is so damn slow like some of them tryin to go to the back then the front like PICK WHERE YOU GONNA GO
Coaster Studios you just got the Flying Cobras crew fired ...... LMAO
Next year, could you please do one for hersheypark?
u are doing this kind of video on a slow day its kind of unfair do it on a crowed day it will be more fair
Actually this was filmed Memorial Day weekend. It was average crowd levels.
I wouldn’t call this a slow day. If there is a wait at all for Carolina cyclone or hurler it definitely isn’t a slow day.
That awkward moment when you see a gp coaster vid in your recommendeds

1:34 Where can you download that music?
Do six flags over Georgia.!. (SFOG).!.!..
Please do you fast are Kings Island
The boomerang at discovery kingdom took 4 minutes to dispatch the ride so flying cobras operations r actually pretty decent for a boomerang
At least nighthawk’s dispatch time was quicker than batwing
Wow, the Fury is the best (In my opinion) and the faster. NOICE.
I remember my first experience with Fury. The team on Fury runs that coaster hard. Kudos to them!
Just visited carowinds for the first time last month, front left seat on fury is absolutely fantastic
Legojack, rear left seat is even better!
BlackCloud0351 I managed to get in both and I personally preferred front, but the back was absolutely Fantastic as well!
To be fair there are no bad seats on Fury
It is, I have probably been on the fury over 100 times but I like the left or right seat on any row. I hate the middle seats.
These videos are awesome! Its always amusing to see how fast the operations are. Of course, safery is the main priority, so i can understand some operations can be slow, but its always funny to see it take like 10 minutes to get everyone secured.

Tom. that’s pretty similar to here actually most coasters need you to be 54 inches which is about the same!
Oof, C'mon Afterburn..
Adrenaline Overdrive agreed they usually do much better on that coaster
Raptor crew is faster and better
Josephg1016 This guy is a part of The raptor crew lol

Send some of those Fury employees to Leviathan, please.

this year since carowinds is understaffed i timed fury’s dispatches for 2 weekends and averaged around 2 mins, afterburn is also VERY slow

Agree
Nighthawk is extremely slow I get fast passes on my season pass and every time I go, I usually sit in line for Nighthawk for 30+ minutes
Flying Ace (It's Kitty Hawk or something else now) is painfully slow. If it isn't "walk on" status, we won't wait in line for it.
Fury 325 was probly the best one because it's the tallest and "fastest" giga coaster in the world.

I don't hate you but I do disagree
Patrick Kim omg yes I have always preferred afterburn better than intimadator
Patrick Kim I used to prefer intimidator better but this past year something got screwed up with the trims and it is not goo to me now
I would rather they take 2 mins or even 3 mins to make sure I'm safe and other people.
Night hawks operation is terrible I went there and it took a hour and it was a short line
Yello Siad just experienced they today, came all the way from Ohio and really wanted to ride it and we never moved, had to get out of line.
Great video. Love operation videos. Btw how many was in the train for Fury 325?
3 trains

Why does everyone swing their legs on the hanging coasters
RCslay3rz 12 because it’s fun. Need is say more?
I just realized I didn't see Woodstock express in this video. I guess it would not be considered a major coaster since it's in Camp Snoopy. 😂
Yes, carowinds does have good operations. Although goldrusher used to have good operations when I rode it a couple of years ago. And now it’s just bad, I would say the goldrusher could use improvement. And some other roller coasters in that area.
