Lol I was there on the 29th when you were running 3 trains with 0 line for the front. Guys fuckin sprinting around the rows to check all the seats. I swear those were sub-30 seconds.
Sythe5665 cool. that will still probably be well worth it. Except for the fact that, like I said, everything else might have shorter lines. Then again, SV will bring more attendance, so it might not shorten any other lines.
I mean you forget that it's only super hyped for enthusiasts.. To GP, it's just another new coaster. When ValRavn opened, lines were only slightly shorter than usual, and while yes it did have SUPER long lines compared to this season, they still weren't horrid.
Jacob Pedersen I can reason with that. Most of the GP don't keep track of this stuff, so while it certainly WILL be hyped up simply because it's at CP, only enthusiasts really understand that this coaster is going to be freakin awesome, and way better than Valravn.
Victim of Lag It's not the seats, it's the bad ride and severe whiplash. It's the ride you go on last because it'll leave you in such bad shape when you leave.
*_OH BOY HERE WE GO_* I've literally have had one single bad ride on Corkscrew. Every single time I've ridden it, it's been smooth with no headbanging. Heck, I find Rougarou to be a *lot* worse than Corkscrew. I've never experiences whiplash, roughness, or problems with restraints. Nothing. This ride gets way too much hate, and I think mob mentality is part of it.
Cedar Point has some of the best operations around! I wouldn’t say that these are dispatch times however, these are load times. Dispatch time is the amount of time between two cycles. Then you can take that time to find how many riders per hour the crews are getting!
Cedar Point has consistently great operations. At all the other CF parks I've been to one or two coasters have amazing ops (Fury, Banshee), and the rest of the ops are just average.
Most Cedar Fair parks are great at operations! Knott’s is terrible tho. And I’m a ride op at Great Adventure, I know all about tabulating riders per hour lol
I feel like Great Adventure has better operations overall than KI, KD, and especially Carowinds. Toro honestly has the best crew I've ever seen on a coaster, so congrats.
When I got to cedar point (it was 6:00 PM after an 8 hour drive from NY) we checked into the hotel (sandcastle suites the first night and hotel breakers the other 3 or 4 nights) the first ride I got on was gatekeeper, it was a 5 min wait, as soon as I got on the ride, I put my seatbelt on, somebody checks us right away, and I s*** you not 10 seconds after I sat down we were already going up the lift hill.
Arrow Dynamics & B&M Fanboy 8 hour drive from ny?!?! Dude whhaaatttt, every single drive to ohio from ny always took at aleast 12 hours. How did you do that??
yesterday's memories we didn't hit any traffic, we did leave at 7:00 am I'm pretty sure, we stopped at McDonald's along the way, and we just got lucky. I live kinda close to NYC sooooo, maybe that's why
Google Maps says it's roughly a nine-hour drive to CP from NYC, so I'd believe it. It's pretty much just a straight shot on I-80 through New Jersey and Pennsylvania into Ohio.
Almost Every Intamin in the Earth:Seat Belt First, Lap bar Second. (In El Toro, T Express(안전벨트 먼저 착용하고 안전바 내리세요 in Korean) or even Atlantis adventure and Jupiter.)
No matter how many times you say this at La Ronde, no body listens to you. For some reason everyone's instinct is to lower the restraint or the lap bar first. And they do this while still having their bags or purses on them.
I really love the sound of dragster's rumbling that starts at the beginning. Always makes walking up to dragster from the front of the park a great suspense building experience.
The top thrill dragster test is bad. Top thrill dragster's interval is actually longer than a minute. All trains must be parked in order to launch trains. Once trains are moved out we have to wait on the catch car to get into position to launch trains. I was there when this video was taken and the guests that needed to be taken off only really added about 10 seconds to dispatch time. The dragster crew does a great job and it would hard for them to get much better than what they're doing. Most of the slow operations is due to guest slowly getting off trains at unload Source: I worked the ride.
Actually trains don't have to be parked to send the next cycle. As soon the second train comes down from the drop then you should be sending the next two trains. That's dragsters cycle :)
Great dispatches video! I've been to CP several times and yeah, their operations are really good. Raptor probably has the quickest dispatch time out there. :)
I saw the roller coaster and the people, leaving the station and I was really scared bc if u know, as soon as you get that Lapbar pulled down you know that there's no turning back :3
I work on Maverick and I love when we have great dispatch times, I mean we can check seats and be ready in 45-55 seconds, but we have to wait for that second train to get into the tunnel before we can dispatch the trains out of the station, causing all of us to stand around with our thumbs up for 10-20 seconds. Just one of the downsides to sending two trains at a time.
Coaster Jaiden That still sucks... Twisted Colossus is a long ride with two chain lifts... SFMM's operations are not good compared to Cedar Point, and SFMM is my home park.
i've never been here but Cedar Point is 1000% on my coaster bucket list. the coasters don't only look really fun but they also are so pretty to watch. great video, Taylor!!
On Gatekeeper this year the workers (well the ones I saw) were very frantic and not gonna lie looked like they were gonna have a panic attack but I had a good ride over all!! Cedar Point for sure has some of the best dispatches!!!
I would love to see a kings island operations video! I'm an operator at the good ole island and have never timed to see how fast we get trains out so that would be a cool video
Valravn's got that monitor that says the load times. Went on it 6 times, most of load times were under a minute. I wish Six Flags got its act together. :(
(Cedar point)Taylor is doing an operations video on us!? Everyone let's get 10 second dispatches!!!(cast members) let's do 1 second dispatches!! Then everyone died the end
Cedar Point does an amazing job with operations all around. If your there on a Friday night and the Indians are in the playoffs with the park dead...they still run 2 even 3 trains on all rides even with most 1/3 full. Such a great park.
I know this is an old comment, but oh my god Kentucky Kingdom. We went once on a Friday the 13th and folks were getting stuck on rides left and right. Thankfully, I only live a couple of hours from Cedar Point. 😂
Don't feel bad! Ever since they added VR onto Kraken at SWO, it takes forever to get a train out of the station. Which is why I usually only ride it once then spend the rest of my day/night going back-and-forth between Mako and Manta.
That last bit where you're there at night… I envy you, I so wish I could end up at Cedar Point or Six Flags Great Adventure at night and ride these things in the dark.
In all my visits to CP, which is I think 8, always thought ops moved quick. And guess its crew dependent. I forgot his name but one for Valravyn was famous for fast dispatches and I has him one morning. No joke was like 20 seconds. It was announced 500 people just cycled through and it was like 20 minutes into park opening. Was amazing
Now I've never ridden an Arrow but I know a pretty good trick on Intamins to get airtime. Simply lean forward a bit so that it looks like you're bigger than you are. Let the restraint lock down and then just slide back into possition and voila. Now you've got airtime for days. (I honestly don't know if this isn't possible in America but I've tried it on Balder, Piraten, Desert Race, Juvelen, Dragekongen and Kanonen. Works every time.)
NEVAstop That's the ejector seat, problem with that seat is it's on a wheel (that's the box in the floor) and it's really rough. IMO for a smooth ride that still has pretty good air I find car 6 rows 1 and 2 to be the best. By all means though the ejector seat is worth it at least once.
I was there the other day and one of the gatekeeper crews was able to pull off consecutive 30-40 second dispatches. Incredible work ethic, all of the workers on their toes and running to keep the line moving as fast as possible. Now if only that could be the case on some other coasters...
Fun fact: the dragster at the Top Thrill Dragster entrance has a fully functional blown Supercharged Chevy V8 engine, with Ken Veney cilinder heads and a carbon fiber air intake, runs on alcohol with nitrous-injection.
I've never been to Cedar Point however just from watching your operations video, I would have to agree with you the park does really well with dispatches!!! I can't wait to visit that park some day!!!
When I went there in 2016, I remember the dispatches being pretty fast. The one exception being when I went on Gatekeeper. Some guy lost his shoe at the top of the lift hill on the previous train and one of the operators had to go up there to get it back.
You bet your ass we have 40~ second dispatches. ;) Raptor crew always killin' it.
Do you work at cedar point? You said "we"
Joseph st.germain Yeah, I work Raptor.
That's awesome
Adrenaline Overdrive except when yall have to get a maintenance employee to get a wallet.....
Lol I was there on the 29th when you were running 3 trains with 0 line for the front. Guys fuckin sprinting around the rows to check all the seats. I swear those were sub-30 seconds.
No matter how fast CP's operations are...
Steel Vengeance will suck up 90% of the lines from other rides next year, so short lines for everyone yay.
It's sad that even though cp has great dispaces, there just no ovoiding longs lines just because of the attendance
V.I.F. I'm planning on getting a fastlane but I will not be surprised if I still get an hour line lol
Sythe5665 cool. that will still probably be well worth it. Except for the fact that, like I said, everything else might have shorter lines. Then again, SV will bring more attendance, so it might not shorten any other lines.

Do the Corkscrew operators call themselves the Corks-Crew?
lol, they should!
Great corney joke
Dad is that you?
CRW great joke!
#LaffsAndThrills
If they dont they totally missed out on a glorious opportunity xD
On Top Thrill, some guy got off, so I feel like that slowed them down.
LifeOfKieth Safety belt too short on TTD, same for MF which I , I almost got in myself.
@@thekillerlady123 ohhh ok I was the one who misread I'll delete that comment now
i cried on top thrill dragster the first time i did it
Yea
Why would someone get off such a good ride XD
is it just me or does everyone kick their feet around on every hanging ride?
Showbiz Wisconsin, does floorless include dive coasters?
me!! I always kick my feet in the brake run on B&M inverts
Haha, I noticed that too. And it looks weird when a video is speed up
Me!
I do lol 😂
on corkscrew she said "good luck" because even the crew knows its a bad ride
One day, they'll improve the seats. One day.
Victim of Lag It's not the seats, it's the bad ride and severe whiplash. It's the ride you go on last because it'll leave you in such bad shape when you leave.
Never had problem with whiplash. Always had problems with the stiff restraints and back support.
Ness Bound yes it is. The only people who think corkscrew is good are the people who don’t ride any big coasters
*_OH BOY HERE WE GO_*
I've literally have had one single bad ride on Corkscrew. Every single time I've ridden it, it's been smooth with no headbanging. Heck, I find Rougarou to be a *lot* worse than Corkscrew. I've never experiences whiplash, roughness, or problems with restraints. Nothing.

El Toro_Ryan Or you can just call CP and ask for that data. Ride ops compile that data and log it every hour.
El Toro_Ryan you should see Canada's wonder land, almost a minute at least on most rides
Cedar Point has consistently great operations. At all the other CF parks I've been to one or two coasters have amazing ops (Fury, Banshee), and the rest of the ops are just average.

Superman ride of steel's dispaches are longer than this video lol
Joe H.S the one at Darien lake?
😤 Six Flags America
Honestly both of them suck in my opinion
Darien Lake's Ride of steal line + dispatch is extremely long. I remember waitingnan hour to get on.
Cedar Point is my favorite place on earth, hands down.

Cedar Point workers SUCKED when I went (5/28/17 - 5/29/17) but raptor was going pretty fast for the line it had
Chris Tyler Good job smartass, even though I would do the same.

I'm very curious about Six Flags Magic Mountain's operations as well...

Valravn's got that monitor that says the load times. Went on it 6 times, most of load times were under a minute. I wish Six Flags got its act together. :(

I've been on Dragster when it's rolled back. I almost peed my pants I can tell ya that
Recently found your channel and I gotta say I really like your point of view on things. Honest and straight forward reviews. Keep up the good work!
Magnum was my first ride ever at cedar point (first steep drop ride :D)
When Maverick takes off one guy goes, "I already regret this I regret this!"
Also there was that one guy that got out during the dragster one so that always slows down operations
That's impressive. I wish the SFMM crews could crank out trains like that.
I knew cedar point had great dispatch times and when I went to other parks, it only confirmed it! We're spoiled!
