For those of you who are beginners to classical music and want to learn more about the symphony orchestra, this set of videos is a great place to start. These four videos are about the symphony orchestra playing a piece known as The Young Persons Guide To The Orchestra by Benjamin Britten. In Video #1 here, we listen to the orchestra playing the Theme by Henry Purcell. First, the whole orchestra played it together, then each of the four families played it individually and then the whole orchestra played the theme together a final time. Then we get to hear the first 4 of the variations of the theme, which are played by the woodwind instruments. First the flutes and piccolo, then the oboes, followed by the clarinets, and finally the bassoons.

ここのＮ響メンバーでも、フルートの中野さん、クラリネットの浜中さんと内山さんなど、
既に「酒は美味いし姉ちゃんは綺麗な」所で直純さんと飲んでいるのかな？
上手いかどうかは別にして、格好良いバトンテクニックですねぇ。
ブリテン以外の名曲も交えるのがいいね。
お好みでなければ他のを聴けばいいのだし。
