Singed420 is an OG and probably was the first to do proxy singed, but I think Trick was the one that popularized proxying (with any champ but mainly Udyr). He would start red elixir and invade the enemy jungle, steal a camp or two maybe and later on he would just get inside the enemy base to grab both top and mid waves at the same time.
My 31 year old memory might be wrong tho. Still, both are massive names that shaped League back in the day.

Let's be honest Briar 100% needed a low elo nerf, but I think she needed more of an adjustment to her abilities rather than a straight nerf

Imo Briar is strong in jgl for sure not top 5 but strong. The champions design is just shit, the kit is just too simple if shes strong shes op if shes weak shes useless, so she has to be kept medicore or even below that untill they rework her stupid w ability.

Every Month since her release Briar has been slowly getting more unplayable top and it's not really because of the nerfs but more because people are learning how to play vs her. She no longer has a future on that lane above gold.
