I used to be a big Meshuggah fan and have met them at their shows. Their older albums are incredible from like Destroy Erase Improve to Chaosphere are what I liked most about them. I stopped listening to them when they started playing eight string guitars with more monotonous droning songs with no melody that would just scramble my brain trying to listen to the syncopated songs with the harsh vocals are difficult to get used to. I still like them but their newer music hasn’t really grown on me personally.
