I just upgraded from a g920 to the CSL DD and its AMAZING lol its so much better you can feel so much more with it that the gear driven g920 i super happy i pulled the trigger on the CSL
Yup just subbed! Bought Automobilista 2 on sale on January 4th 2021 not knowing anything about it accept a few reviews i read on steam and man i am glad i did. Like it more then most sims i already have. But now here is the problem. When I was in Dirt Rally 2.0 I noticed my T-150 gas pedal spring broke and amazingly enough i managed to finish my rally in record time cause the gas was floored lol. Almost killed myself with my DOF Reality H3 motion Simulator with my sim racing studio settings under adventureVR. Anyhow when i got my motion platform about 8 months ago now and sat in it for the first time and looking down at my T-150 I had this awful felling i was staring down at a 10 years old wheel and pedal toy, but before that i was using a GT Omega stand and i really didn't mind the T-150. So after I took apart the gas and pedals and found the broken spring got a hold of Thrustmaster and had them ship out 3 springs witch cost me 32 bucks 2 days ago but in the missed of all this I thought no harm in looking at other wheel and pedals and then I found Fanatec and there bundles but not shipping until march so naaaaaa don't want to wait so I ordered THIS The Gran Turismo DD Pro Express Version and the booster 8nm. I have watched almost every video I can find on this and WOW I am so excited. Ordered about 3pm now yesterday. Will try out your settings first thing on this video. Thanks for this and I will look out for further settings in other sims. :)
We testet your Settings with the Fanatec DD 8nm. Overall the feeling seems Ok. There is much Focus on the Oversteer Effect and to less on Grip and understeer. In small corners or slow drifts, its a little bit of a wristbraker. For youre Settings the standart+ is not the Right FFB File. Give the rFruktor Delta a try.. no Engine Vibration, no Wristbraking and overall more feeling. For this file you can user youre settings with a little bit more FX around 40
I used the config file, still prefer default+. If ffb is too strong, lower overall strength. Having said that I may try the config and play with the settings.
Congrats on setup! I'm looking at upgrading after 11 years with G27. What's your take on QR Lite? Any play or strange sounds? On reddit i seen people have had issues. I don't wanna spend a $100 on a metal qr.
This is old, I have completely different rig now. This one though did have a lot of flex, and cracked the pedal mount on the old rig! It's rock solid now the new Nextlevel GT Elite. 👍
Hello! Small criticism about the brake pedals ... I don't understand why a lot of sim racers play without shoes. Is it because there's someone somewhere who's been in this fashion? (ridiculous in my opinion) or you are afraid to use your pedal in (metal) lol? I have never seen a racing driver without shoes in passing !! Do not come and tell me that it is for the sensation because I have tried both ways and I do not see any difference. Good continuation.
No its because they grip too much with shoes and mainly because as I'm using throttle, the pedal slides under my sock as I'm accelerating. I like to plant my heal.
Quick question. When you drive certain cars do you feel like the wheel is very rough on tarmac? The friction is too high for me in this game but when I go into gravel, dirt or grass there's absolutely no feeling. It's exactly as if I was on ice. My CSL DD has a small buzzing sensation in the menu and loading screen and I don't know if that's just the game friction or the weird buzzing sensation being amplified by road effects
Don't use these settings anymore, you can use fanatec settings, just try default+ in game. The ffb settings change after updates. I'm going to work on new settings soon.
@@aubreycolemanracing I'm using the default ones and custom ones, that's why I'm curious. I have natural friction turned off but it feels strong anyways. I'm not using any FX boost in game either. This is my first DD when I'm not sure if that's just engine vibrations or what but in AC and ACC it feels super smooth on tarmac
Hi, thanks for sharing. Well, FFB feeling and setting is, like car setup , a very very individual thing. There is no right or wrong and one can always learn when trying something new. So I tried your settings on my CSLDD ( 8Nm ) and found the following after starting the engine : Wheel ( McLaren V2 ) turns wildly from left to right and back. I was able to stop this by grabbing the wheel with both hands, but as soon as I took my hands off, it started oscillating again...not good. Not good for me and not for the CSL DD drive. During driving, the counter-forces in steering due to the driver settings and coming from the already high , if not too high, grip of tyres in AMS2 in general, make it difficult to concentrate on the smooth way of driving especially the Porsche needs. I suppose your wheel&driver settings would probably require a different setup of the car as well in order to function well. The activation of canned effects in AMS 2 ( like FX, Centerspring ) brings nothing to the sim but take away some of the more subtle FFB information , especially when driving at the edge of losing grip. A Center-spring is of no use with DD wheels..to my knowledge, is was made for weak consumer wheels ( < 3Nm torque ) which have practically no FFB to speak off at low speed. It gives the impression of resistance of wide tyres with tons of grip, while this "FFB" data is not at all related to the actual tyre model...at least, this is how some devs explain this effect, among others Aris from Kunos ( ACC Physics DEV ). So what I did after this experience, was going back to the recommended Fanatec settings but kept the ingame Gain on 70% to avoid clipping. Everything else can ( and should )be adjusted , as you suggested as well, on a "per Car" basis in the setup. In general, AMS2 has come quite a way in less then a year I am using it ( aside from AC,ACC, R3E and rF2 ) and it is now really fun and highly immersive to drive.
@@aubreycolemanracing hmm, but why do I get Oscillation then and you don't when I use the same equipment and same settings in the driver and the same sim with the same car ? So I followed the advice of Fanatec and Oscillations are gone...strange...
@@stefan-georgfuchs9618 I get a bit of it if I let go of the wheel, but don't feel it when driving. I like the extra detail this way. But you can lower the in-game force, and-or increase damping in Fanatec Control Panel.
Sorry but you are wrong with the FX (Sorry if it seems rude but english is not my first language) it is not the vibration of the motor, it is the road surface and the breaks effects. Have you try IT to 50 ? compare 10 to 50 with the Stockcars or another car with no abs and you will notice the différence under breaking and on the curbs.
It's actually in the main config, but people don't using it because it turns up other effects that some don't like. That's why there are custom configs that people use that separate the effects, so you only get a bit of engine vibration.
Can you help me? I have the csl élite. With normal cars if i turn my wheel, for example, 90 °, the wheel in the game turs 90°. But with Modern open wheel cars is not that way. If i turn my wheel 90°, the wheel in the game Just turn 30° or less, making the car undriveble. How i can fix this?
