  • I recently aquired a print of this fun little silent comedy. I was able to salvage most of it although much had unfortunately turned to goo. Scanning it was quite a long and difficult process.

    In addition to Bobby Burns - his little convict buddy is James Renfro, the fat swimmer is Hilliard Karr, and the girl is Jobyna Ralston (later leading lady for Paul Parrott and Harold Lloyd).

    Hey mister i think this movie is not his nimble twist but its a film called "BALL BEARING, BUT HARD RUNNIG" (1920) Which starred Bobby Burns

      Well Spotted! It does seem to match existing photos of that film. I wonder how it ended up with the wrong title card.

      @@oldfilmsandstuff4679 Probably a reissue title! If this print was found outside the US it was probably to suit the tastes of the other market.

    With a bigger budget, you could of eliminate some of the scratches and jumps.
