These 2 have a natural chemistry.
So good together, I'm still not over Cronk heading to the Roosters and winning 2 premierships with them (1 GF and 1 PF against us). But still a legend of the game and a QLD champion. Love Matty Johns, even though he's got his stupid antics side to him (especially when around Fletch, Hindy and Gordy) But when he's serious, he's actually really good to listen to and he knows his stuff, same with Coops.

Im not sold on payne haas. The most talented prop in the game for sure. But has yet to prove himself in big games. Almost like he stays in 4th gear while the likes of pat carrigan, jfh, leota, jwh lift for those moments

Haas seems to play within himself in Origin games, maybe because he's playing against so many teammates. The Grand final showed what he is capable of. He needs to bring that to Origin.

Surprised that no one else but Cronk has talked about the Blues seemingly not solving their creativity issues. Last year, they made enough metres and had plenty of opportunites but couldn't get it done in the red zone. So, with them going with Edwards and Robson, it feels they are still missing strike. I am curious to see how things go, but on the face of it, the QLD spine feels a lot more dynamic than what NSW is offering.

imo, i thought it came down to coaching. Had all this talent on the park but like you said, in the red zone, nsw just paddled in water with alot of possession. When Qld got their first taste of possession they looked far more organised in attack. Simply, Slater had answers for the blues gameplan on defence and attack. Mag needs to get the simple things right like Slater has done and they should be competitive.

I really think Isaiah Yeo should've been the Blues Captain. Captained his team to 4 grandfinals, a workaholic in Origin and has this leadership aura. That is the only selection mistake by the blues.
NSW dont have a genuine super star compared to Walsh? Stephen must be invisible then. Walsh has never bested Critta once in his career. But the opposite has been true for every single meeting these two have had thus far (31st May 2024)

@gregrobson3231 Very true, Reece has been gun few years now with tackle stats and need that being hooker. Got to love Reece its just that Api got that edge scoring tries and built for origin. Reece did well last year too. 👍
no, api's done. he's slow, not as efficient as api. only reason why api would make sense is because of the amount of panthers and former panthers are in that squad. the fact that there's that many is worrying that they might try play panthers style footy again which didn't work last series
@gengarpokemon7731 Agree, Penrith style doesn't work in origin. I guess finding balance. Let's see since Damien Cook and Api aren't in the team. I can see McInnes filling swapping around if it doesn't work. Just don't see Reece doing much with the gas tank like his last origin where he got tired. Api played full 80

teddy can make things happen from nothing and a threat every play just being around the ball. edwards has none of that and nothing that seperates him from teddy or reece in his style of footy
