I’m glad I’ve seen almost all of these great mansions including mar a largo. I worked there shortly after trump purchased and turned it into a private club. I was spellbound every single time I looked at the gold leaf ceiling in the main atrium
I had the privilege of working in the boroughs home in fort meters some years back and the Yacht club nearby ! The interior woodwork was truly remarkable for the age of the home ! Some years later I understood that the home , near Thomas Edison’s own estate was moved further back into the property , and two 20 story condo units build with the house being used as the community center .
You missed the Casements mansion in Ormond beach (near Daytona beach), it was John D. Rockefeller's winter home. It's a museum now and is super charming, the tour guides are the nicest and most knowledgeable.
I wish that I had known about the Burroughs Home when I stayed on Sanibel Island. All I saw in Ft Myers were the Edison and Ford cottages (real cottages, not mansions play-acting as cottages!). I did get to tour both Ca' d'Zan and Whitehall; both are truly magnificent, Also saw Mar-a-Lago from the outside while driving over the bridge near it when coming on to the island.
Good list. Of course Vizcaya was #1 and deserves to be "#1" because of it's gorgeous opulence and unsurpassed grandeur. Not enough views of the gorgeous interiors and superb formal gardens. Two other mansions that should have made this list are the Howie Mansion in Howie-In-The-Hills, Florida which is now a wedding and events venue. The other is the Joseph W. Young Mansion in Hollywood, Florida - the home of the founder and developer of the city of Hollywood. Both mansions are built in the Mediterranean Revival/Spanish Colonial Revival styles and reflect the glamor of the 1920s Jazz Age.
Yes, this is an amazing video. I had no idea there were so much preserved Gilded Age architecture masterpieces in Florida, although I did have the opportunity to visit the Flagler mansion in the early ‘80s.

Thank you! Cheers!
What about the Casements in Ormond Beach?
Mar-a-Lago : luxury all-expense paid weekend vacation hotel for the Secret Service for 4 years.😊
Typical mafia-like strategy by the guy who bought Mar-a-Lago at a diminished price. 😂
More traditional architecture please, modern architecture is so boring, ugly and unattractive.
Agreed.
you have good taste@@KyrstOak
