After your have your surgery day recover room ice cream what need to wait in the waiting room what time do you have to check in change into a hospital grown and a hospital sock time do he have to be at the hospital
@@cynthiamaybunya4622 I believe I placed all the time stamps in the video. It will vary based on what time your surgery is scheduled and the doctor should have a pamphlet or something to walk you through all the steps for the day from the time you arrive to what you can expect following the surgery. It was all outlined for me and my child 🫶🏽
Hi there! It’s difficult to tell. They usually fall off between 5 and 10 days. However, whenever your child’s worst day of recovery is, I would be likely to think that would be when the scabs come off completely. I hope that helps!
@@jasminegoins4899 Hi! Aw you’re most welcome! I hope you find it helpful as you and your son navigate the surgery and recovery process! I wish him a speedy one! Let me know if you have any questions comments concerns along the way! I’m happy to help and be your support if and when you need it 🤎
Thank you I do have one question: did your son's voice change temporarily (or permanently) after the surgery? I'm on day 5 post-op and I'm waiting to see if his voice will change back or not. It's a tiny bit higher. Oh, also, do you remember if his neck was a little stiff? So far recovery is manageable even though he's only on Tylenol now rather than Motrin and Tylenol. He's able to eat dinner but mostly a popsicle or 2 during the day time and that's it. I printed out a Lego pain scale so he can identify how he's feeling. The highest was a 6, and his lowest was a 1 (no pain)
@@jasminegoins4899 hi! I’m glad to read that the surgery went well. So rest assured, the voice change is normal and my son experienced the same. It went back to normal a couple weeks later but I remember being concerned about it initially. The ‘stiff neck’ might just be related to the pain. Try warm compresses or a warm bath so baby boy can relax his muscles. I remember my son was nervous to move his neck too but the baths helped him. Great job mama - the pain scale idea is wonderful especially with this type of surgery! If you have any more questions or concerns I’m here otherwise I’ll check in again in a couple days :)
No he didn’t. I knew that my son had obstructive sleep apnea as he stopped breathing in his sleep. I had recorded it with my phone and presented it to the specialist. His tonsils were very enlarged also from the physical assessment he had by the doctor so it prompted reasons to forego the sleep study and have the surgery.
Hi love! It’s common to still have that “snoring” sound post surgery because the area is still inflamed. With inflammation comes swelling so don’t worry. It takes about 2 weeks for the area to be fully healed, give or take. You will notice an incredible difference afterward. Feel free to ask me more questions here or you can add me on Instagram @goldenmamabrie and DM me! I hope for a speedy recovery for your son 🫶🏽

My son did this operation 9th January 2024. Have a runny nose and snoring still. I want to know is your baby snore after surgery?
