I’m from Warrington, so Gullivers world is on our stomping ground 😂 and RIP Camelot. Will never forget my mum throwing up over the side of those flying tea cups, ah sweet memories 😂
Oh my gosh you’ve just triggered a memory with Camelot themepark!!! We used to go all the time when we were younger, the caterpillar ride and the bizarre jousting and the cartoon character themed teacups!! Thank you so much what a throwback 🥺🤩
I used to LOVE going to Gulliver’s World! There was a rollercoaster called ‘The Antelope’ (no loops or anything like that) but it was the highlight of my half term - I thought I was the most thrill-seeking 10 year old for going on such a fast ride 😂 and hats off to my dad who used to ride with me every time! Camelot was also a very fun time. Here’s to niche Northern theme parks!
@@lilipaddixie I hated that ride as a young girl but my little sister loved it I remember going on it and crying my eyes out I never went on a rollercoaster again until I was 18 I have since braved the Antelope. I’m very local to Gullivers so I can see their firework display on bonfire night.
Azelaic acid has really helped my mild cheek rosacea! The ordinary do a good one, though the texture takes a bit of getting used to. Otherwise I've tried Face Theory who have a serum with 15% azelaic acid, and dermatica do a 20% (though I wouldn't start with that!)
I use the Face Theory azelaic acid too. If it itches when you first start using it you can put it in the fridge before using. There are also some studies on tranexamic acid and rosacea so that might help too. Face theory has a 5%. To partly prevent it from getting worse you can try to avoid extreme temperatures and wear sunscreen daily.
It’s so good to see you back ❤️ I’ve really missed your updates. Recently I’ve been listening to audiobooks rather than reading and it’s a game changer. My favourite time to listen is either while I’m shopping or while I’m baking. Xjx
Must admit I love photos and videos of abandoned theme parks as well, quite a random thing to look up but I find them so fascinating, very much like sets of post apocalyptic films… Although for most of them I’m just sad they closed down hahah
Really enjoyed the oyster mushrooms being compared to the pair of blOOmers :D Love how chatty and cosy your vlogs are, like chatting to a pal after a long wintery day
For the rosacea, La Roche Posay have a whole product line, called Rosaliac I think, that tackles that skin issue. I've not used that particular line myself, but I've used their other lines for different issues and I swear by their products! I use their Effeclar acne cleanser religiously as I get big, painful hormonal spots, but using the cleanser consistently keeps them almost entirely at bay.
The Court of Thornes and Roses books are incredible. I have a major surgery at the end of the month and I plan on rereading them because I loved them so much. Really recommend continuing reading them!
It has been eight months since you posted this video but in case you haven't figured out your rosacea problem yet: I deal with very very bad symptoms (I had to cut out all the good stuff you are not ready to let go of yet :D) but what helps me most is "gladskin". They are a company from the Netherlands but they are delivering to the UK too. The rosacea cream is my holy grail and I can't live without it for more than two days! It works against the bacteria that cause rosacea and not even the creams I got from my doctor helped that good.
I have a keyboard for my new kindle just like the one you have for your ipad, and I have been meaning to take it to a cafe to get some work done, but have been putting it off. I had a project that I was working on, but I am finding right now that it is so hard to get started again, so I needed some inspiration to try again. Thank you for posting this, I think it was just the nudge I needed. I have a feeling that you have been productive with something wonderful lately, and I wanted to let you know that I am so happy to see you so happy :)
have had rosacea for years and tried everything but in the end the best thing I did was a laser treatment. did a handful of sessions and completely changed my skin. I'm a couple years out of the treatment and still not back :)
I have rosacea flare ups. I use rosalique under my make up when it’s bad which really helps how my skin looks. Not curative but good for the old confidence!
Omg omg omg Lucy You're not ready for the second one, omg it's like the most perfectly written angsty fanfic ever with some heist elements it's SO GOOD. seriously ask santa for it, you will want to get through it in 3 days I'm not messing. The reason why it's not in charity shops is it's one of those books you pick up again and reread the passages that made you feel... I'm clearly a huge fan but honestly, this is the author I go "okay if I'm half as good as that I'll be proud of myself" so...
Camelot was such a moment in time. The jester juggling guitars. The dragon train all around the park. Buying a little fake leather covered Camelot journal to be my secret diary….
Ohhh the next book is sooo much better. Have you read the House in the Cerulean Sea? It's a beautiful whimsical book. I think you'd really enjoy it. Love a Lucy Sunday Vlog
Great to see you back, have really missed your vlogs! I recommend the dermatica 20% Azelaic acid cream to treat and the erborian bb redness correct to hid redness without having to cake on any heavy foundation! Xx
For Rosacea the best things I've found is the Votary Super Seed Serum and The Ordinary's Niacinamide serum. The Super seed serum is stupidly expensive, and I hate that it works. But it does so its worth it.
Found your channel through your recent christmas gift guide with small shops, loved it! Sarah J Maas is one of my favourite authors, this series gets much better but I have to say that the Throne of Glass series by Sarah J Mass is my favourite I have reread that series so many times would highly recommend! X
The ordinary Azelaic acid has been good but I was recommended to use only 2 a week as too much may do more harm than good, I switched to the ordinary moisturising factors at the same time and seen a big improvement. A good SPF is a must! Rosalique is good for covering the red and have also found it to reduce it overtime also x
Head off to a derm dr. to get management medication for Rosacea. Depending on the cause there are several different treatments although no cures. Good luck!
Lucy my rosacea was horrendous. I've tried most things at this point. 4 months ago I tried dermatica for the first time (I think I only had to pay postage for first bottle) and now 4 months later my skin is transformed. Best 24.99 a month I spend. Truly
@@lauramcfarlane8844 I just did the online questionnaire. You have to upload a few pictures and from that they recognised I had rosacea and gave me a prescription that treats it. I was very skeptical and I would say it took about a month to see it really working but now I'm scared to stop it in case it returns.
Yay!!!!! I’ve been waiting for this ❤️ Also the second book in that series is the best one. It is SO GOOD. I felt the same way as you about the first one. Trust me, the second one is 👌🏻.
For rosacea I can only say going to the doctor and getting a prescription for a good face-cream was the thing that helped me the most :) Can only recommend getting it looked at! Merry Christmas and greetings from Berlin :)
Sarah J Maas has some really brilliant books, so glad you like The Court of Thorns and Roses. Definitely recommend her Throne of Glass series and the Crescent City books 😊🥰
Your vidoes always make me feel so relaxed and de-stressed so I just wanted to say a massive thank you. I always watch them before bed ❤️Have you ever looked at old pictures of pleasure island and how abandoned it is and run down 🥲
In defence of live jousting: actually really fun to watch and exciting haha I grew up near Warwick Castle so ive always been into medieval history and have fond memories of running wild in summer round the castle and grounds so... pricey but well worth the visit 🤣
I LOVE the ACOTAR series 😍 definitely agree that they get better as you go along 🥰 ACOSF definitely helped me through this pandemic. I'm currently going through her Throne of Glass series for the first time - loving it too 🖤
So good to see you back lovely ! Try the ordinary azelaic acid 10 suspension and The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% both work really well …but take a little time to get used to and make sure you use a good sunscreen too …hope this helps ! 💗
ACOTAR just gets better as you read the rest of the books! 😁 one of my all time faves! I hope you enjoy the series! I agree the start is hard to get into, I remember thinking “wow this is kinda boring…” when I first started reading ACOTAR, but now it’s one of my favourite series! 🤗 A Court of Mist and Fury is when it starts to hit different 😏😈😂🦇
joining in the camelot chat🤣, I remember going with the school as our end of year trip ahahah, the giant caterpillar??? maybe it’s just a Wirral thing idk ahahaha
I have totally fallen down that rabbit whole. The one park that's close to me that's abandoned is a Wizard of Oz theme park. There's also one called Ghost Town. It's interesting stuff. So glad to see you!
I absolutely love your vlogs and especially helpful your recent small business gift ideas. I've just ordered the quartz velvet bookmark for my daughter for Christmas.
The La Roche-Posay Toleriane products are good if you have rosacea/ supersensitive skin. They do also do a rosacea range. There's quite a lot of good creams for rosacea but it's quite individual as to what works. I also like the Ren Evercalm rescue mask. If it's always super mild and doesn't bother you from a discomfort point of view you might just get away with simplifying your skin care.
Yes, absolutely read the next book 😄 Personally I loved the first one and it got me into reading fantasy. I was enjoying it throughout but when it got to the trials part I was obsessed 😄 The second book seems to be more universally loved though so I'm sure you'll enjoy it more.
Personally I adore and am thoroughly hooked on all of Sarah J Maas' work, but I do agree it took time to get into the series! Highly recommend continuing though it only gets better!!
Such a cozy vlog! Thanks for sharing Lucy =) Also, I have used the "Arwen" lipstick ever sense I saw it featured in LOTR in 2003 =) I am currently looking for a cruelty free option, but it is fun to have a bit of Arwen style. Also I am in great need of an Anne Boleyn headband now.
Lucy talking about trying to not look at phones till fully up and awake for the day, Me hanging my head in shame watching her very video from the snuggly comfort of my bed 🤦♀️🤣 Did you get a stool?.....

The a court of thorns and roses books are my fav series ever!! Highly recommend you continue reading them! You won’t be disappointed!!!
When I say that I screamed at the notification of a Lucy Wood homevlog.. My cat is still giving me the side eye from when she fell of the table.
I loved Gulliver's world! The one with all the dinosaurs, which I used to be terrified of as a small child 😂
Oh my gosh you’ve just triggered a memory with Camelot themepark!!! We used to go all the time when we were younger, the caterpillar ride and the bizarre jousting and the cartoon character themed teacups!! Thank you so much what a throwback 🥺🤩

I felt the exact same about book #1. It was sooooo slow. You will love the 2 & 3 book!! Please do vlog the book reviews when you’ve gotten thru them
Wow Camelot is a blast from the past! I completely forgot that place existed but now the jousting is so nostalgic!
The greatest fricking series ever!!!! It also took me a like half the book to get into it but my god what is to come... prepare
I absolutly love that Book series and it really gets huge on the seconde Book get prepares for the series because is very Good🤩
