I would assume the dull backside of the knife would be better the same way one uses the thing tool that cuts plexy glass to make a indent then bend it.
Also you try using the "knipex pliers wrench" which I think you will agree it will be the best tool you have like so many that have it. The grip on it can turn a smooth bolt despite the tool has a flat smooth cite but the leverage it has to grip on to things is insane and its precision is sold and accurate. I have the 42mm knipex pliers wrench but you can see others on youtube reviewing it. I use it for heavy duty to light jobs in how functional it is. Project farms reviews some of its tools but he never reviewed did that specific one.

Hmmm… the dull side of the blade. I might give that a try. Thanks.
Also… never heard of the pliers wrench. I’ll look it up.

I immediately thought of the plastic scoring knife also.

It appears that you were able to get half way through after twenty five cuts and then your progress slowed, I have two ideas on why that happened: 1. The downward progress of the cut was limited by the thickness of the blade needing to push the material on each side apart in order to advance the cut, a switch at that point to a thinner blade may have made a difference, say to a thinner snap blade style utility knife.
    2. You may have work hardened the cut channel. Making the cut while applying water may prevent this or you could anneal the metal.
*Both of these could be true at the same time, so a blade change and some type of temperature modification may be needed at the same time to improve the results.

      Thanks! Two interesting points. 😎

@@HacksbyDad If you have some more of that material, why don't you test that, I mean, testing is what this channel is about, right?

@@SpaceFrawg That's the problem... I installed the threshold and don't have another for more testing. I guess I could purchase another one, but only if this video gets a lot more views. LOL

I bet you could have snapped the piece off after 25 cuts. If not, then definitely 50.

      Yeah… probably. 😎
