- FULL kids washday routine from start to finish on my daughter Olivia’s hair. You’ll get to see how I Pre-detangle, Wash, Condition, Moisturise and Style her natural hair in a cute high puff.
I wash her hair every 1-3 weeks depending on the hairstyle she’s wearing. So if it’s in a protective hairstyle such as; braids or twists, then i’ll wash it every 2-3 weeks, but if it’s in a puff style, then every week.

It’s the intro for me. So sweet😍😍
Haha...thank you 😄❤️
Ikr So Cutee 😍😘
She’s so perfect!!!! This is so precious 😩😩
Aww...thank you! 🤗🤗
Pretty
I know right 😢😢😩
Hey guys, so here’s my daughter Olivia’s full washday routine and I’m sharing everything I do from start to finish, including pre-detangling, washing, conditioning, moisturising & styling her hair. Hope it helps some of you Mummy’s needing some tips and ideas for your children 💕
Can you please do a detangling video on your daughter's hair? I have a son who gets upset when I detangle his hair.
It's the intro for me....she's adorable 😍
Ahh...thank you 😁
I am 15 and is mostly responsible for my five year old sister who has never gotten her hair taken care of since. It’s hard for us to get a routine for her since she’s started so late and she cries and pulls away when it comes detangling, but I’m ready! Ready to get her and me into a routine for her hair.
Awww…bless you! The fact that you’re determined to take good care of you and your sisters hair is amazing and really good to hear! Just be consistent and keep going! You can do it 🙏🏾🥰❤️
Such a cuutie!! She has gorgeous hair! So thick! Great routine!
Aww...thank you and yes, she’s got a lot of hair 😄
I love it! I’ll definitely try this with my daughter
Thanks for sharing her routine ! I will share it with friends. She has beautiful hair
Thanks so much and yes, please do 🤗
Love this, your voice is really engaging and clear. Olivia got me in the intro and some really good tips. My girls got mixed hair and different textures. I want to get back into hair routines as the drama was too much for me and their hair can be so challenging. I like to do twists in my younger who has long hair and plaits hers most days. My oldest has short hair and it's very curly and tangly. This video was inspiring for spending time and being patient with the hair wash process. I subscribed straight away
Looking forward for the styles you will give us on your daughters hair, thanks for sharing
Ahh...no worries and great, I hope to get round to doing some soon!
Awww, love this video and Olivia’s intro 💕🤗💕
Aww...thank you! 😁❤️
Such a helpful video…as a Dad these things don’t come easy for me but you made it a breeze and my daughter Lee thanks you 🙏🏽
Awww! Just seen your message. I’m so glad this video was useful. Well done to you for taking good care of your daughters hair. I love that 👏🏾 and tell Lee she’s very welcome 🥰
What a simple and adorable video. The intro is so cute! I don't have children but I could definitely use this process for my own hair.🥰
Thank you 🥰 Yep, it’s so simple and I use it on her sisters hair and mine too! But I’m glad to hear it’s useful.
Doing the entire process in sections is really smart. I might do that with my hair.
Love it. Well done mama 👏🏾👏🏾
Thank you 😁
🤗❤🤗❤ Love it and will be sharing this with my Girl's. ✔📝👍🏾
Ahh...that’s great, thank you ❤️❤️
So adorable ! And gorgeous head of hair 😍
Aww...thank you 🤗
Amazing video sis! Amazing information 🙌🏾😘
Aww...thanks a lot Den & fam 😘❤️
Good job! She has a beautiful head of hair♥️♥️
Thank you 💕💕
Love this technique from start to finish 💕
Thanks, glad you liked it 🤗
Waaw. I love dat voice I just heard so I'm subscribing right now.
Aww...thank you 😄🤗
You guys have inspired me
That’s good to hear and thank you 💕
So cute I wash my hair the same way and I love the detangler for my hair also
Ahh...great 🤗👌🏾🙌🏾
I love it!!! Didn't know about all this when my daughter was little (wish I did, no RUclips then)....maybe I'll get my chance next lifetime. I just love you and your journey. I am much too old to attempt the natural haircare trend, but I just love when you post vids, I am so proud of you....you are so regal and beautiful😀 Thanks for sharing.
Aww...thanks so much for your lovely message, I appreciate it! ☺️🤗❤️
@@HealthyAfroHair My pleasure! Enjoy your holidays!!!! Be safe and take care😁 (girl, I don't know what our holiday season is gonna be like...im in USA and I'm african-american...we're having a rough time)
I’m based in the UK and they’re still deliberating over what will be happening over the Christmas period with lockdown restrictions etc... so will just have to wait and see what happens. But thank you. Hopefully everything will be fine for you over there. Enjoy your thanksgiving and stay safe and well too 💕💕
I kept going back to that intro😘... She is so cute! Imma subscribe!
Haha...thank you 😄 Thanks for subscribing as well!
She's so beautiful just like her mom ❤
Aww...thank you so much 🤗🤗
Lovely video and gorgeous little girl just like her beautiful mama
Ahhh…you’re so lovely, thank you ❤️
It was nice to see a video of your daughters’s wash day. I have 11 year old twin daughters with a full heads of hair and two different textures 3c-4c. This is the process I do as well of separating, detangling, retwisting, shampooing in the shower. It’s almost a two day wash day task for both of them. I usually 2 strand twist so I don’t have to restyle hair for a couple of weeks.
Ahh...glad you enjoyed it! Yes, this is such a straightforward method and makes things easier and I’ve started to go back to twist styles for Olivia too, so I don’t have to be styling everyday and it gives her hair a break.
Adorable!
Thanks!
Love this 😍😍
Aww...thanks! ☺️
Amazing video this was helpful my daughter is mixed and I need some tips for her hair thank you! And your daughter is absolutely adorable❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so much! I’m glad it was useful 🤗❤️
Hi, im Cyrille and that's my little one there on the picture she's now two and looking at this video it will definitely help her to have a rich health hair I greatly appreciate all that you do thank you once more.
Hey Cyrille, your very welcome! I’m glad you found my video useful. I have another washday video I did when she was 2 years old, if you wanna check that out too
ruclips.net/video/VHg6mZg0UGM/видео.html
Thanks so much for this. I’m a white mom with two mixed daughters 2 & 3 years old. I’ve had a ton of stress dealing with the detangling and washing. This was very helpful.
So happy to hear and you’re very welcome! ☺️
I do a similar routine, but definitely going to try these products. Thanks for shar6
You’re welcome!
I also use those aunt Jackie products....it very awesome♥️😍
Yes, it’s really good 🙌🏾❤️
Ty for video,helps so much!!!
You’re very welcome! Glad to hear it 🙏🏾
I’m giving this a shot with my soon to be four year old! She inherited her father’s hair texture and he’s locced up. Thank you!!😩🥺😍😍
Yeah give it a try! Hope it helps 😁
Nice job. Her hair is beautiful 💜
Thanks so much 💕
@@HealthyAfroHair your welcome
SOOOO Cute!!! ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you ☺️
Thanks for the video 🙏🏽
You’re welcome! 🤗
I absolutely adore her hair texture.💕💕🥰 I just wanna put twists in it 😫😫 or mini braids
I did mini braids with beads a few months back. Looked so cute, but took ages 😩😄
The exact same hair that my daughter have but shorter, I love it ❤
Thank you 🤗
It's the intro for me Soo cute😍😍😍😍
Thanks! 🥰🥰🥰
@@HealthyAfroHair I should be saying thank you for your amazing intro
@@kurooooooooooooooooooo Awww…you’re welcome! Thanks again 🤗❤️
Beautiful curls😍
Thank you 🥰
She is so cute, her hair has really grown. Well done mama. I follow same routine on my toddler but restyle at d end of the week ready for nursery for d week. Am using my products on her now because buying mine and her wss getting too expensive lol.
Thank you ☺️ Yep, her hair has really sprouted out. But I hear you about the products, they definitely add up, so it’s good you make your own products. I make some of my own too which I enjoy doing.
@@HealthyAfroHair 😄🤣 no way, i meant we are using same products but all bought from d shop. However instead shop conditioner for her, i use same conditioner i use. I used aunt jakie kids conditioner( same one you used) but didn't quite give me the slip i was looking for her hair.
Ohh...I get you now 😆
She has beautiful hair 😍
Thank you ☺️
Thank you thank you so much. You have no clue what this video did for me and my daughter. She has 24 inch 4c hair at age 2 and she freaks out bloody murder every time i try to wash or get water near her eyes. You just saying that it gets better and this is the way your kids are to made me not feel so bad and makes me want to stick with the routine reguardless of her screaming. Thank u
Ahhh…you’re so welcome! I’m really happy to hear my tutorial was useful and has given you some confidence to keep going. 🙏🏾 The more you keep up with the routine, the more she’ll become use to it and know what to expect.
I remember those days. I used lay my girls across the kitchen countertop so the back of their heads can hang over the sink with a towel propped under their neck. Much more simpler to me.
Ahh…we don’t really do that over here in the UK, and tend to wash their hair in the bath. 😁
This is Actually really good because I also have African Hair that gets Tangled so this is Awesome Try it out everyone
Thank you, it’s good to hear!
Beautiful 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 I'm using the same products to my baby girl hair 😍 she have 3 years old 🙂
Thank you! Ahh...great 👌🏾 I really like the way the products make her hair feel.
@@HealthyAfroHair me too😍👌🏾
Olivia’s hair style turned out beautiful 🥰 Just like her Mommy’s!
Aww...thanks so much 🤗💕
Wow she is beautiful and so well behaved. I recommend using fresh water from the tap for the final rinse rather than the bath water which may have shampoo and conditioner in there. Keep up the great job xxx
Thank you 💕 I drained out the bath after shampooing and rinsing and ran some fresh water back into it, so it was clean when I was rinsing out the conditioner. But that’s definitely another alternative I’ll consider doing. Thanks 🤗
My son is 2 and he has really thick full head of hair. He currently hates wash day and has started running away from the bathroom when I’m getting him ready 🤦🏾♀️😩 I used to just wash his hair in one but I will definitely be washing his hair in sections now! I will also try detangle his hair first before washing it.
What an absolutely beautiful head of hair!
Aww…thanks girl ☺️
@@HealthyAfroHair you're most welcome! ♥
Lol 😍 How is she so adorable?!
Thank you 😁
Can you please do a video on how you style and moisturise her hair ?
Loved the video . Thanks for sharing
Glad you liked it! Sure, I’ll look to share details on that as well. 💕
Wow ❤️
Its at 4:35 when i felt like I actually have been doing it the right way she is just a kid and has to do it no matter what so it helps me keep on top of her hair. It used to be so daunting because of the screaming and fighting in the tub but just seeing her baby doing so well now after grtting used to it is unbelievably helpful to see.
Yes, they may cry but once they become use to a routine and know exactly what to expect, they will adapt and eventually get on with it. But it takes time and anything we can do to help make the process easier, will make it more calming for them ☺️
…Also, if you saw the washday video I did when she was 2 years, you’ll see she was crying, but now she’s all good! 👌🏾
Im going to do it right now on my 2 year old just like you did!!!
Great! I hope it worked out well 👌🏾
Awwwwwwww 💞
☺️☺️
I watched the video several times, I got all the products ready, and I thought it was going to be easy. I had to call my wife to the rescue. It was not easy at all. It was hard to detangle, hair was all over the place, I was clueless,, she was crying, and I was frustrated. I was confident after watching the video. In reality, it was exceedingly difficult.
Ahhh…that’s a shame, but I’m glad your wife was on hand to help you out. I commend you for giving it a try though. But don’t give up, cos you never know it might be better next time round.
This is so helpful! I just washed my daughters hair and it was a nightmare. It’s really thick and I never sectioned her hair which results in tangling
Glad it was useful 🙌🏾 It just helps to make the process more structured and straightforward.
I like this video. My little girl has a lot of hair too. I believe that this process is really good . I used to do it like this and use these products and then I found my self switching up her products and detangling wet which was a total disaster. I would love to see how you moisturize and the products that you use. I cannot seem to find the right products to moisturize my girl's hair and keep it moisturized.
Love this. Wand to ask, do you use clarifying shampoo for her sometimes as well as protein treatment?
Thanks! No, I’ve never used a clarifying shampoo on her hair before, since the sulfate free shampoos do a good job of cleansing her hair. As for protein, I just use conditioners that have a combination of both protein & moisture.
Wow She's so good.
Yeah, she’s a big girl now and knows the drill 😄
@@HealthyAfroHair she's very beautiful and extremely good. You have done a lovely job with her.
Thank you so much 🤗
Your Facebook videos brought me here 😍
Ahh...great! Welcome 🤗
You should use a detangling brush. They work wonders.
i love you videos
Thank you! 🥰
Lovely 👌
Thank you!
Do you find that when you leave her hair in it’s natural state like an Afro or an high puff that it gets more difficult to tame or work with when you decide to put it in a style and how do you work with it after it’s been in a high puff or Afro I find it so difficult to do with my daughter hair
How often would I do this? Weekly? Bi weekly? Monthly? Single dad and i know nothing but I've seen some of your videos and am trying to learn
❤️That’s naturally natural long lovely hair 💦👸🏽🦋✨💕❤️
☺️🤗💕
I like that comb!where did you get it?aunt Jackies products are good..just creating a routine for my baby hope everything goes on well!just seen the comb in Description thanks❤
Oh...great, you found it 👌🏾 Yes, I just love Aunt Jackies detangler. There’s no other moisturising product like it! But yes give my routine a try to see how it works for your little one.
@@HealthyAfroHair i use it as a moisturizer,it didn't really detangle my hair but it's such a good moisturizer!
Her hair is sooo beautiful? Yes u made the wash day so easy. I feel like I am doing too much for my daughter’s wash day . I will definitely try the sectioning next time I wash.. How old is your daughter?
I noticed that you did not do the sealing method. E.g oils and cream.
Have you ever trimmed ur daughter’s hair?
Ahh...thank you ☺️ Yes, give it a try and let me know how it works for you. Olivia is 5 years old. I don’t seal her hair after washday, but I do sometimes do it when carrying out her moisturising routine using my DIY Shea butter cream. As for trimming, no I’ve never done it before, but really want to get round to doing it soon.
Her voice is so cute
Thank you ☺️
Thx Detange before shower is better, and also how you did separate the hair. Its less painfull for them.
Yes, it’s so much better and straightforward as well.
❤❤❤
Hii,so beautiful all of you,do you cut the ends? My daughter has short hair, she wish to get long her
This was so beautiful 😭😭😭 I have 4 boys and they all have hair but how I’d love to have a little curly head girl 🖤🖤😒
Thank you ☺️ Ahhh...bless! Sounds like you have your hands well and truly full, with plenty of washdays 😄
Hi, I have a eight year old who has hair just like Oliva's. I'm going to try your routine today. I wanted to know where do you buy the products for her hair and if you could put the name in the comments or mention them in a video. Thanks.
So can i use this routine too wash my 9yr old hair after taking down knotless braids also i wanted too know is the shampoo clarifying where it removes buildup cause i was thinking more of a clarifying shampoo but i have all these products not sure if they are useful when removing braids with extensions
Yes, you can use this routine for your child’s hair. As for Clarifying shampoos, they can be quite harsh and mainly designed for lots of heavy product build up so you can use it or a sulfate shampoo which can do the job too.
Hi! How often do you wash her hair? My 4y old has dry hair and it is very difficult to detangle. This way is much easier
Hey, I do it every 2-3 weeks depending on the hairstyle she’s wearing. But yes, it’s definitely easier this way, so give it a try.
I will definitely be trying this because I normally have to fight with my daughter to wash her hair. Can you please post the link from when she was younger my daughter is four. Thank you
Sure here’s the link ruclips.net/video/VHg6mZg0UGM/видео.html Hope it’s useful! 💕
You can do it good wow
Thank you ☺️
How do you balance protein and moisture in her hair?
I just use a light protein conditioner, which contains both protein and moisture.
It is your baby for me🥺❤
🥰🥰🥰
❣️❣️♥️
My daughter has the similar type of hair. Love the curls when it's wet but it dries more straight and kinky. Living in England, air dry can only be done on hot summer days. Dont u find they catch a cold when u leave hair wet?
I was literally thinking this too!
How do you protect her little baby hairs if you don't hold them down with gel?
It’s never really that bad to be honest, so I just leave them as they are.
Do you use oil or cream on her hair pls
Yes, I use the Aunt Jackies detangler which is also a moisturising cream and sometimes I’ll use an oil or my DIY Shea butter cream to lock in the moisture.
What's the name of conditioner shampoo that you put in her hair
It’s Aunt Jackies Girls brand. All the details and links to products are in the description box.
Can you do more styles on your daughters hair ??
Sure, I’ll try and share some simple hairstyles I do on her hair soon.
It's coz damage to comp the hair ,while it's wet?
❤❤❤❤❤🙂
Is auntie Jackie hair products really good because I’m hearing a lot of bad things about the products
Really?! Wow…I’m surprised. I find it quite good for both my daughters hair.
This was a great video. I messed up on my grand daughters first wash. Now I have all the products snd hopefully am able to do much better this time. I’ve always bought the haircare products for her but never done it myself. I just got emergency temporary guardianship of my 3 mixed grand babies. So I want to do right by her by helping her to feel as beautiful as she already is. Thank you again
Hey how long do you keep her hair wrapped
In the t-shirt? I basically take it off once I’ve taken her out the bath and dressed her, ready to detangle/style. So roughly 10-15mins.
Does your daughter hair get tangled in one ponytail?
I rarely style her hair like this, but it does get tangled in similar styles like this, so I now try to create more protective styles.
I need to know everything…trimmings, washing, how to protect it at night PLEASE HELP!
Plz can I do a visit on how u keep her moisturized/maintained between wash day. Thansk
Sure, I’ll do a video on that soon! 😊
