- Szolnok is the county seat of Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok county in central Hungary. Its location on the banks of the Tisza river, at the heart of the Great Hungarian Plain, has made it an important cultural and economic crossroads for centuries.
On a more personal note; this is the birthplace of my mother and I hope she will enjoy this short overview of the city that is still very close to her heart!

@@therevolution91 Firstly every street is covered in trash and birdpoo,the public transport is not very good,lots of traffic jams in the afternoon,too few restaurans or public places(the only normal spa have been closed 4 years ago,and didn't reopen since,the Hotel Tisza is disgusting),every "park" is full of agressive hobos or drunken people, dog owners here are especially terrible(letting them free,not picking up poo after them,or just trowing pets out to the street),so much stray animals,the sewage system is too old in the entire city so it often leaves homes without water for days even if there's only a small problem,the MÁV and SZTK hospitals are bad jokes... etc etc. The mayor pretends that there are no problems and insits on unnessesery invesments like the ugly paving stones everywhere or the newly made ""castle"" which was finished like 2 years ago but not opened for the public.
These just are the ones I can name from the top of my head...

Красиво. В детстве жили в этом городе до 1969 года. Там стояла советская воинская часть, отец был офицером в этой части. Мне было шесть лет, город совсем не помню. Помню, у меня был друг, звали Миклош, ему было лет 12-14. У родителей тоже были несколько друзей мадьяров. Когда уезжали на поезде, помню, как в окно из поезда в Тиссу кидали филлеры, типа, чтобы вернуться.. ))
Простите а ЧП в городке случайно не было только большого ?
