Well, I'd call that excursion a complete success.
There's a book called Feel the Fear and do it Anyway, written by a PhD called Susan Jeffers. It's a great book and well worth having a look at.
You felt the fear and did it anyway. You got lost, got found ie. your hotel, you saw and felt some things and made it back home safe and sound. And no doubt you learned about yourself. I wonder what the next solo trip would look like compared to this one? Only one way to find out! 😃

When traveling alone you get to know yourself better. You find out if the way you see yourself is the way you actually are.
As an amateur photographer I like doing so because of focus on my hobby. Though travel in company is nice since you can share your experience as you get ideas from another.
For travel alone I'd recommend a (long) weekend or midweek for starters as to look up for events with like minded (music, arts, age) people. Take a city tour, easiest way to get in touch with the surroundings as people.
Don't be too hard on yourself when you find out you are not whom you think you are 😅

    Hi Lynn
Solo trips serve to find ourselves.
If we do not know who we are when we are alone,
we cannot know who we are when we are with other people.

Appreciate the honesty. Theres so many videos where people gloss over everything, trying to make it seem perfect when thats so not realistic. Also, dont feel bad about getting lost, people get lost in their home city all the time.

This was genuinely inspiring. I also would consider myself one of the most introverted/shy people ever. It seems like you've skipped a lot of time since you were very shy to now when traveling alone. You should make a video of your story about overcoming personality traits. Anyway... I hope I will travel one day. For now, that seems tremendously scary. Your videography was really good for how little videos you have. Keep up the high-quality work.

Thank you for this very genuine and honest comment! And i get that it seems scary. A few years ago i also never thought that i would do this. And that's indeed a good idea and good inspiration for a future video! So thanks 😊

    Hi Lynn,
What works for me is using goor maps.
Prior to travel I identify places of interest and mark them by using the save option in maps.
I dont always see all the places but using a plan gets me around.
I download offline maps using less data in a foreign country and maps even have bus and train routed that works mostly everywhere in the world.

It reminds me of the first times travelling solo abroad. And yes, it is intimidating at times, but you learn and you experience and in the end, it alls adds up.
    Very nice edit once again

Wooooh STOP right there! Other people (usually limited to two brain cells) may THINK you're boring, but let me tell you having an interest in art, history, etc is MUCH more exciting than just wondering what your next drink is going to be. For me, "night life" is the boring stuff. I prefer filling my brain instead of killing it. NEVER tell yourself you're boring again!
I do wonder how you got lost btw. TWICE. With a smartphone in your pocket for 24/7 support, that's quite an achievement. 😛

I agree, learning new things is also way more interesting to me. And thanks 😂 having a poor sense of direction is probably why haha

How is it even possible to get lost in a Europe capital in 2023? :)
You have Google Maps and taxi apps.
    Sounds a bit exaggerated.
