If only she had a coven. A witch (someone like Lilia) could have put a sigil on Nicky because Death is a witch after all, so she wouldn't know Nicky, though Agatha will not remember her son.

Nicky was never really into killing witches and the one night he decided not to help his mother do so was the night he died. This suggests that killing witches was payment to Rio for letting Nicky live. It also seems to be a bit of an addiction for her, and, in her grief, she kept doing it, corrupting the happy song she and her kid made up about traveling the world together in order to kill more witches, against what Nicky had wanted. This, I think, is why she didn't want to face him and why she considered the truth to be worse than the rumors that she traded her son for the Darkhold. It's curious, though, that she claims she was planning on killing her latest coven in her basement but it isn't clear how she was planning on doing so. Agatha told Lilia that the only way she could absorb another witch's power was if they blasted her with it (granted this could be just another lie). Jen was bound so had no power to blast Agatha with, Sharon wasn't a witch so also had no power to blast Agatha with, Alice didn't believe in the whole witch thing (or was in denial due to her anger at her mother) so wouldn't have thought to use her power against Agatha, Lilia _did_ have power and was in a state of mind where she could have used it against Agatha but, as mentioned, she was warned not to. Assuming she doesn't have the ability to absorb other witches' power as a ghost, this version of her might be the only one that's remotely trustworthy. She's definitely not a good person (she's a serial killer) but, Billy's right, she's not evil either, she's just extraordinarily broken (from childhood). She's a bit like Amos from The Expanse, but without any of the guiding lights he had.
In terms of the basement, I believe she had hoped to absorb at least Lilia and Alice. If you rewatch the scene, Alice was actually about to blast Agatha if Lilia hadn't said anything so that one is easy. For Lilia, if Agatha was perhaps a bit quicker in antagonizing her, she could've done it before she remembered. As for Jen, that's the big question mark. Did Agatha perhaps hope she was lying about being bound? Had a thought that she had bound her? Its hard to say for sure since Agatha holds so many cards to her chest. My headcanon is that Agatha knew, at least by the last trial, that she had bound Jen. I think at that point, she genuinely either wanted to free Jen or just get her out of the way of her plans with Rio and Billy. Maybe, such as with bouncing between Teen being Billy or Nick, she had a feeling she bound Jen but didn't confirm it till later. As for Ms. Davis, I truly believe she was just going to send the woman back to her home lol. That or just kill her to leave no witnesses. I think the reason she had Billy go upstairs was to eventually overpower him or trick him after she got her powers back because she wanted to figure out who he was. She had no idea that everything would go the way it did
Billy was upset with Agatha and wanted to banish her because she lied to him about the Witches’ Road the whole time (except for in her initial response to his request). She had Billy help her recruit witches with the intention of murdering them, and then Billy accidentally made the Road real with a design based on the mythos Agatha created. She knew all along (ha) that he was making it happen, but she let it play out without ever cluing him in, even when people started dying (which she still seems indifferent about). He blames himself for their deaths, even if he is only really responsible for creating a realm where they could die. And he blames Agatha for deceiving him, letting those deaths happen, and trying to dismiss/rationalize them. I think he’s scared of himself and scared of what he thinks she brings out in him. But in an interview Joe Locke said that he thinks Billy knew deep down that he was never gonna go through with banishing her. Kind of like when he threw the witches in the mud, even though he was having a “tantrum,” he couldn’t go through with actually hurting them.
I think they fell in love with each other the moment she woke up from Wanda's spell. Agatha loved two people in her life (Rio wasn't love): Nicholas Scratch and Billy Maximoff (at least in this version). It really was a mother/teen relationship. Neither would have let the other be hurt if they could help it. The act of her guiding him to place Tommy in that body already betrayed Rio who wanted that prevented at all costs.

And finally, how can you not resist Baby Groot?
@@JoelMiller431 Absolutely entitled to your opinion. No opinion is correct obviously, that's why they're opinions. But there's so much of Quantumania that is just really, really bad. First is the acting of Cassey which is just really stale. Kang is just really not that interesting and really not that threatening. Even He Who Remains felt more undefeatable and he never even attacked. Then there's the CGI which is just...really, really bad. You got the humor, such as with MODAK which, imo, falls really flat especially when the first two Ant-Man were actually quite enjoyable. Add it up to a very nonsensical and nothing movie now that we've shifted from Kang and I would probably personally rank it in the bottom three of all Marvel movies. Conversely, I don't personally see the pacing issues with Agatha. We pretty much get a trial per episode, with two flashback episodes after the start. I think the only episodes I'd agree had some pacing issues were episode 2 (but I can respect them wanting to gather everyone without making it multiple episodes) and episode 5 (which is my personal least favorite for just how abrupt everything feels). Other than that, it feels like it really soaks in the tension and emotions of the moment. And, imo, really appreciates the atmosphere of witchcraft and the story its telling. You can tell how carefully crafted everything is from Episode 7 and how much thought went into each episode. For Quantumania, however, I just personally don't feel the writing is as tight. Of course, that's just my opinion! I do agree with you tho that The Marvels gets WAY too much hate. It's a fun movie and the dynamic between the three leads is honestly so refreshing. Its just a movie that I find is just nice to have on in the background and just enjoy.
Honestly I'm in the minority but this ending was so anticlimactic and watered down. Was it GOT bad? No But was it "perfect"? Not even close. The bar was raised high in Episode 7 and I blame the numerous writers for each episode. I still loved the show and the journey but that drastic change from "I want my prize!!! My powers" to "Boo I'm a ghost I got a game over" was so lame imo. The Nicholas Scratch backstory was great. The only unresolved issues were Jen and her full story and the Salem 7 who were axed at 5 and then forgotten. Also, Rio isn't a real person then and she never was? She was death all along? So much for the "scar" talk during the campfire.... Poorly done oversights

I still haven't seen The Marvels, need to catch up on that.
Honestly I'm in the minority but this ending was so anticlimactic and watered down. Was it GOT bad? No
But was it "perfect"? Not even close.
The bar was raised high in Episode 7 and I blame the numerous writers for each episode.
I still loved the show and the journey but that drastic change from "I want my prize!!! My powers" to "Boo I'm a ghost I got a game over" was so lame imo. The Nicholas Scratch backstory was great.
The only unresolved issues were Jen and her full story and the Salem 7 who were axed at 5 and then forgotten.
Also, Rio isn't a real person then and she never was? She was death all along?
So much for the "scar" talk during the campfire.... Poorly done oversights
Agatha is now ghost like in the comics. It's not to make her funny, but to respect the original story.
this is soo dumb they ruined marvel!!
You’re dumb. You’re not even a true Marvel fan
