Its weird I remember so many people complaining that the emotional story of Wandavision ended like all Marvel stuff does with a big climatic CGI fight. Then Agatha All Along arguably does a similar level of emotions and ends with another bit of emotional resonance with a bit of a fight near the end and now I see people sharing the Wanda V Agatha fight like "How did a show full of witches not do something like this even once" like cant win for losing I swear. For me this has been such a journey and im truly gonna miss our Witchy Wednesdays and our following Sesska Thursdays
exactly. i love the Wandavision fight and always thought the hate was dumb. And while the final fight in AAA could be really cool considering the characters - Agatha, Death and Wiccan - it's understandable in the show why it was so short (it's futile to fight death), and understandable outside the show (the budget - i would take this over a big fight if it was like the secret invasion failure with CGI any day). The finale was emotional and climatic enough anyway

An interesting info from the creator of the show: Right after the finale aired we got an interview from her saying she now regrets not showing Agatha and Rio's full love story, that she and the writers had loooooong discussions and plans for everything related to them, but they later decided to only keep the Agatha/Nicky sequence and she now regrets it because the Agatha/Rio relationship has absolutely exploded and helped carry the show's popularity. She says she didn't know people would be "clamoring" for them as much. She said the kiss was not about Agatha sacrificing herself for Billy at all, it was about Agatha not being able to deny her love for Rio any longer and wanting the last thing she ever did in life to be kiss the love of her life (and Joe Locke confirmed the piece of dialogue when Billy enters Agatha's mind and talks about Nicky was added later on in Post, it was not how they rehearsed and shot that scene originally). The creator also said they were going to show the fact that Agatha and Rio were "partners and lovers" for many may many many years and lived together in a cottage in the woods, that in Agatha's whole life Rio was the only person that showed true love for her and called her beautiful/valuable. She said they (writers) also discussed the fact that Rio could be Nicky's other mom, that Agatha and Rio's love for each other was so strong that it manifested itself inside Agatha as their son (since Rio is not just Death, but also a Green Witch and capable of giving life) and so Rio was also heartbroken about having to eventually take him from Agatha. Rio had to grieve the loss of her child as well as the love of her life not forgiving her for the act. VERY INTERESTING! I wish they had showed all that in the show, it would have been a much more fleshed out ending.
Just to add: The moment inside the last trial when Agatha was alone and said "Sometimes... boys just die" and then "From Death, life" is the exact moment Agatha finally accepts that Rio was not to blame for Nicky's passing and that she's also the reason she even had her son in the first place, even if for a small amount of time. And then they share that absolutely beautiful kiss together as a way of Agatha finally saying to Rio "I forgive you and I love you".
Billy is so sure he is a bad person, but he does so many things that reveal how good he really is. Agatha is so proud of being a bad person, to the extent of "I did not sacrifice myself for you! I took a calculated risk." She's worn that mask so long her face can't cope without it. Many thanks for being my pal while we watch stuff!
I think at this point she rarely lets it down around other people. That was one of the cool things about Kathryn Hahn's portrayal in the final trial. It's only after both Jen and Billy are gone that you see Agatha's raw emotion when she says, "Sometimes, boys die." I have LOVED the layers Hahn has been putting out throughout this series. When she's making her 'deal' with Death and Rio tells her she sees through her act that Billy means nothing. Then she makes the deal anyways. The thing with Agatha is, you never know when she's lying and when she's being truthful. She's such a lifelong con artist.
The story of the ballad is so tragic. It started out as a nursing rhyme thought up by Nicholas to bond with his mother ("Coven Two") on their journeys. While Agatha didn't trust and killed other witches for their powers Nicky rather longed for community and coven. In the end Agatha couldn't beat the natural order of things and lost Nicky to Rio. Agatha corrupting the ballad to lure innocent witches to their deaths is indeed more awful than the Darkhold trade lie. The ballad was all that remained of Nicky in this world, his legacy...and she degraded it without thinking twice. Thankfully Lorna Wu restored the ballad as a protection spell in the 1970s. I wonder if the public worldwide release of the single diminished Agathas chances to lure covens to their death.
I don't think it diminished the chances of Agatha to kill covens... Remember Lorna Wu wished she can open the road with her tours, at least it's what Alice said to us

My only real complaint about the MCU is how quickly villains die off. Few villains get the chance to grow, Agatha Harkness was a villain done well, you feel sorry for her loss, but she remains the same unrepentant killer she always was. The only other villain we saw get similar treatment was Kingpin in the first Spiderverse film. You felt sorry for him, but he remained an unredeemable villain. Agatha, Killmonger, Thanos, and Loki have all been well rounded villains, looking forward to what they do with Doctor Doom, and what RDJ does with his character.
Agatha hasn't been "killed off" though, she might be dead, but she's still here as a ghost. If this goes the route of the comics though, then she might gain her body back. She's also less of a villain and more of an anti-hero, just like Loki. Sure, she has played an antagonistic role, but she also plays on the side of the protagonists and aids them too.(Such as at the end of the show where she teams up with Billy to help him find Tommy)
Speaking of Sharon, I've seen a lot of people (myself included) reacting to her death with that same "it's not gonna stick, it's nor real, she's so delightful she can't be gone like that" etc. I realize now that was exactly the point. Like Agatha says, "sometimes boys just die." Sometimes people just die, and this is a show about grief and how hard it is to deal with it, to give a meaning to it. Notice how death is called Rio Vidal, the River of Life. Notice how gentle she is when she reaps souls. Death is the most natural thing ever, and the most horrific.

In the Scarlet Witch (2015) comic run that the Witches’ Road storyline originated from, Agatha was Wanda’s ghost mentor that guided her down the Witches’ Road to save the source of all magic. At the end, Wanda’s true birthmother that she met on the Road, Natalya Maximoff (not the MCU mom we saw in Wandavision), sacrificed herself to save the source of magic and gifted Agatha a new body that took on a younger form. They switched it around this time and had her learn to become a ghost mentor through the Road, I love her arc in the MCU and how they made it feel true to the comics but still different.
I was thinking that kid would have been a monster by adulthood and probably killing just as many witches as Agatha to keep himself alive. Cute as a kid though.
I loved this show, and this experience of watching it with other people. What a gift! The actors, the storylines, the SONG, the costumes. I cried. So, so wonderful.

If I remember correctly, before X-Men 97 aired, Marvel / Beau suggested four or five episode of the original animated series to watch in preparation. I don’t remember the exact episodes, but it was helpful and enjoyable to me. I hope she watches ‘97!!

@revenge217 the Darkhold was a red herring, but it did directly lead to Dr Strange 2. As for the Salem Seven, they are the reason Billy opened the path to the road. They were low level antagonists. Nothing wrong with that. I enjoyed the show we got.
I've been your subscriber for years and I feel that we have pretty similar taste in shows and characters. Part of enjoying a show I'm liking is watching RUclipsrs like you react to them which is odd since I'm one of those people that don't like when others talk during television shows and movies. Someone said this series is about death like the previous series was about mourning. I was just thinking that if the main characters, only Rio and Jen didn’t die on the show. Jen survived and was restored. Rio, being Death, can’t die. Nicky died on the winding road centuries ago. Billy died in WandaVision and William died on the road outside of Westview before Billy resurrected with him. Sharon, Alice, Lilia, the Salem Seven all died on the road. Agatha died shortly afterwards and became a ghost. I guess life is like a road and all roads lead to death. Though Wiccan may be an exception if he can resurrect himself at will. He’s living a second life and Tommy was just granted a second life as well. Vision is on life 3 apparently and Wanda’s status is unknown. Dead or alive, I get the feeling she’ll be back. Rio gave Billy a pass here, but I think she may have an issue with this family eventually if they keep this up!

After finding out what the writer says. Nikki always says Mama to Agatha. He refuses the food and says No thank you my mother needs me home. And runs away And agatha panics... he doesn't panic at all when Rio is standing there. She comes picking him up while sleep. I think we all want to die peacefully in peace while sleeping. Don't we? But also Rio was the one which reminds Nikki to him to say goodbye. Agatha also says he is Just Out of Scratch..that's why the surname BUT Out of Scratch means in this context as nature created you...... and Here WE Go... Rio IS THE Green witch. Who has the purest magic and can create life and mould nature..... Green witch = Nature...... From Scratch = as nature created YOU. I mean Rio says to him Nikki instead of Nicholas. And you just have to look into Rio's face when she closes her eyes as agatha begged her, please my love, let him live. It hurts her too. Badly, I would say. but law is law. Agatha overstepped boundaries of natures law, both of them while creating Nikki. And she's just doing her job as death... An epic love story between them, create a life. That agatha gets the feeling of betrayal in the end I di understand. I mean...if you have a death wish go and take away the child from a mother. 😅
Hi Jess. I really enjoyed watching this show with you! Every week after watching the episode, watching your reaction was my chance to share the experience with someone else. I never delved into comments because i didn't want spoilers, but from that very first week and Sharon's turning up in the show, you and I were on the EXACT same page. This show and these characters were my jam. It was a pleasure to get witchy with you.
Considering that this show was not something anyone was really asking for, or necessarily looking forward too this was outstanding. I went in with no expectations and was blown away by just how good it was. Great surprise and I'm very excited to see where we'll next see these two. Apparently the creators of Agatha All Along and Wandavision will be the team behind the Vision Quest series so if anything we'll see them then. I think there's a chance we see them in Avengers Doomsday, and like Infinity War and Endgame we'll follow a few teams of heroes, and that we could see Billy and Agatha found by Ms Marvel who we know is currently assembling the Young Avengers. Then Ms Marvel and her team can help them find Tommy and then take care of whatever they need to do to end up in Avengers Secret Wars. Meanwhile I would not expect to see Vision until Vision Quest which I am going to guess will get a release date before Secret Wars so he can appear there, similar to how Antman and The Wasp came out between the Infinity War and Endgame, explaining why Antman wasn't involved in Infinity War.
Agatha doesn’t give birth to Nicholas until 1750. We still haven’t seen anything from before her mother and coven attacked her 1692. Leading up to that, Agatha has her relationship with Rio and obtains the Darkhold. My guess is that Agatha promised her firstborn for the Darkhold. Rio shows up to claim Nicholas, feels sorry, and grants Agatha more time. In hindsight, this extra time is even more heartbreaking for Agatha because she knows what she gave up, but in true Agatha fashion, she blames Rio for this, rather than accept responsibility. Really hoping to seeing Jen in the Midnight Sons. Jennifer Kale was a frequent member of that group.

17:20 What Agatha did was messed up, but did she really have a choice? She was already living on borrowed time; Agatha was Death's vassal on Earth. Cosmic Rules prevent the very impatient entity Death from killing people indiscriminately, so Death had to find a workaround, and she did, a naïve soul by the name of Agatha. As long as Agatha did her bidding, Death allowed her to remain in the world of the living. They had a deal and the moment she failed to uphold it Death would come for her. Agatha's deal extended to her son, Nicholas, and he got to live until he lost interest in his mother's job. If you go back and listen to the deal Agatha was making to deliver Billy to Death, you'll specifically hear Agatha demand that Death release her. Agatha was Death's slave, and she feared Death for good reason--re-watch the scenes showing Death's arrival, and you'll see fear wash over Agatha; she always knew when her master had arrived. Agatha didn't just ask for Death to cancel their contract. She made Death promise to never see her again. That promise made sure Death couldn't claim Agatha in death. If Death cannot claim you, your soul is free to remain in the land of the living; hence, Ghost Agatha! Agatha cannot bear to spend eternity with her son and the women they killed together. Nicholas killed with his mother, and Agatha is ashamed of the things she made him do, but it is what she had to do to have a life with him. This is why Agatha lets people believe the rumors about her trading her child for the Darkhold. She would rather people not know what she had Nicholas do; she made him use his charm to lure witches to their deaths. Agatha hid behind the power of the Darkhold, successfully evading Death's gaze, but I suspect that she wanted to do much more than that with the Darkhold. I think she wanted to bring her son back with Wanda's Chaos Magic since it has the ability to warp reality, but also to possibly kill Death. The only way she would have been able to remove Nicholas from the underworld would have been to kill Death, which isn't possible...or is it? in any case, Agatha is finally free from Death's hold on her. She can finally turn over a new leaf. What will her future look like? This was such a fun series. I hope we get to see all of these characters again, especially the ones we lost along the way. I want Alice and Lilia back, damn it! They were too good to write out of the MCU in such a short time.
This show was all i wanted. My favorite Marvel show with wandavision and both loki seasons are in second place. I want to see Jennifer in her full power witch outfit and see her using her pink. I need a second season of this show. ❤
5:38 pay close attention to what she CAN'T do... all the things that a protection, potions, and divination witch CAN do. And even then, she didn't want to be part of a coven; had she been, may Nicky could've lasted longer than 6 years... hence why I think that she can't face him: cuz she didn't do ALL she could to save her son 😢
I didn't have high expectations coming in but ended up enjoying the show. Well written, directed, and the cast was very good. I like that they didn't shy away from Agatha's evil deeds but show a glimpse of humanity at the end. Seriously though, Agatha took out more witches than all the witch hunting trials.

Agatha killed Alice and dragged Sharon on the Road knowing she wasn't a witch getting her killed in the process too. Now that Agatha is dead, I feel like their deaths are already avenged.
I loved reactions to this show so much more than normal . The only other show I really watch reactions to is drag race. I love watching people and hearing their opinions and thoughts . *I didn’t like marvel before this show , it made me go watch Wanda vision while I waited each week for more Agatha 😂* Seeing there as into it as me makes it exciting 👏🏻 I hope the story continues in Wiccan. Ghost witch Agatha could be incredible. I could see her possessing people in comedic ways. And perhaps ghost Agatha having a moment With ghost Nicky 😢
Episode 7 and 8 were the finale, and episode 9 was the epilogue, i'd say. Episode 7 was obviously the best (everyone agrees on that, right?), and it connected all the previous episodes through Lilia's story (and the acting of course). Then episode 8 was the finish line of the road and the culmination. Now episode 9 is the calm epilogue to explain the story before and the story after.
What I really didn't like was Billy trying to banish ghost Agatha in the end. Like ???? I honestly do not understand why he hates her so, she hasn't actually done anything to him. It's quite irritating and VERY hypocritical of him. Like, he has the gall to tell Agatha she "doesn't deserve another chance" at life, right after SHE HELPED HIM find his brother a body so his brother can get another chance at life????? The hypocrisy and lack of gratitude is too much for me. In many moments he comes off as too self righteous for me. Like, HE deserved a second go at life with a new body and so did his brother (thanks to Agatha!), but HE decided that she doesn't deserve it too? Like... who put him in charge of saying who gets and who doesn't get to live?
in the tavern, nicky says "my mother needs me home" but Agatha isnt mother, nicky always calls her mama. Why? Because maybe his mother came for him that night
Id love to see jac Schaefer direct scarlet witches come back. She does a really good job a making the shows she does have deep meaning. I feel shes the only one who can do wanda justice
You know, it's not certain that we won't see Alice or Lillia again. They did establish that there's at least one real afterlife in Love & Thunder (whatever you think of that movie) and Rio's existence and the scene with Alice here confirms that there's at least something going on, even leaving aside Agatha's ghost (which I suspect has more to do with Billy than afterlife shenanigans). Alas, poor Sharon.

And then they share that absolutely beautiful kiss together as a way of Agatha finally saying to Rio "I forgive you and I love you".
Billy is so sure he is a bad person, but he does so many things that reveal how good he really is.
Agatha is so proud of being a bad person, to the extent of "I did not sacrifice myself for you! I took a calculated risk." She's worn that mask so long her face can't cope without it.

I think at this point she rarely lets it down around other people. That was one of the cool things about Kathryn Hahn's portrayal in the final trial. It's only after both Jen and Billy are gone that you see Agatha's raw emotion when she says, "Sometimes, boys die." I have LOVED the layers Hahn has been putting out throughout this series. When she's making her 'deal' with Death and Rio tells her she sees through her act that Billy means nothing. Then she makes the deal anyways. The thing with Agatha is, you never know when she's lying and when she's being truthful. She's such a lifelong con artist.
The story of the ballad is so tragic.
It started out as a nursing rhyme thought up by Nicholas to bond with his mother ("Coven Two") on their journeys.
While Agatha didn't trust and killed other witches for their powers Nicky rather longed for community and coven.
In the end Agatha couldn't beat the natural order of things and lost Nicky to Rio.
Agatha corrupting the ballad to lure innocent witches to their deaths is indeed more awful than the Darkhold trade lie.
The ballad was all that remained of Nicky in this world, his legacy...and she degraded it without thinking twice.
Thankfully Lorna Wu restored the ballad as a protection spell in the 1970s.
I wonder if the public worldwide release of the single diminished Agathas chances to lure covens to their death.
I don't think it diminished the chances of Agatha to kill covens...

Hearing Kathryn sell Agatha’s line, “I can’t face him!” ...I still am unclear as to how my heart started beating again after hearing that devastation.

You've been cracking me up this entire season the way you pronounce Sha-ron the way Sharon did trying to correct Agatha in episode 2.
My only real complaint about the MCU is how quickly villains die off. Few villains get the chance to grow, Agatha Harkness was a villain done well, you feel sorry for her loss, but she remains the same unrepentant killer she always was. The only other villain we saw get similar treatment was Kingpin in the first Spiderverse film. You felt sorry for him, but he remained an unredeemable villain. Agatha, Killmonger, Thanos, and Loki have all been well rounded villains, looking forward to what they do with Doctor Doom, and what RDJ does with his character.
Including Killmonger there is kinda nuts lmao
Agatha hasn't been "killed off" though, she might be dead, but she's still here as a ghost. If this goes the route of the comics though, then she might gain her body back. She's also less of a villain and more of an anti-hero, just like Loki. Sure, she has played an antagonistic role, but she also plays on the side of the protagonists and aids them too.(Such as at the end of the show where she teams up with Billy to help him find Tommy)

Speaking of Sharon, I've seen a lot of people (myself included) reacting to her death with that same "it's not gonna stick, it's nor real, she's so delightful she can't be gone like that" etc. I realize now that was exactly the point. Like Agatha says, "sometimes boys just die." Sometimes people just die, and this is a show about grief and how hard it is to deal with it, to give a meaning to it. Notice how death is called Rio Vidal, the River of Life. Notice how gentle she is when she reaps souls. Death is the most natural thing ever, and the most horrific.
I’m still just so impressed with what a deeply personal emotional story this show turned out to be.

In the Scarlet Witch (2015) comic run that the Witches’ Road storyline originated from, Agatha was Wanda’s ghost mentor that guided her down the Witches’ Road to save the source of all magic. At the end, Wanda’s true birthmother that she met on the Road, Natalya Maximoff (not the MCU mom we saw in Wandavision), sacrificed herself to save the source of magic and gifted Agatha a new body that took on a younger form. They switched it around this time and had her learn to become a ghost mentor through the Road, I love her arc in the MCU and how they made it feel true to the comics but still different.
Now this is how you maintain a villain DISNEY without RUINING THE VILLAINY!
In the comics, Nicholas grows up to be a super villain. The Salem Seven are his children.
I was thinking that kid would have been a monster by adulthood and probably killing just as many witches as Agatha to keep himself alive. Cute as a kid though.

As for the Salem Seven, they are the reason Billy opened the path to the road. They were low level antagonists. Nothing wrong with that. I enjoyed the show we got.

Someone said this series is about death like the previous series was about mourning. I was just thinking that if the main characters, only Rio and Jen didn’t die on the show. Jen survived and was restored. Rio, being Death, can’t die.
Nicky died on the winding road centuries ago.
Billy died in WandaVision and William died on the road outside of Westview before Billy resurrected with him.
Sharon, Alice, Lilia, the Salem Seven all died on the road. Agatha died shortly afterwards and became a ghost.
I guess life is like a road and all roads lead to death. Though Wiccan may be an exception if he can resurrect himself at will. He’s living a second life and Tommy was just granted a second life as well. Vision is on life 3 apparently and Wanda’s status is unknown. Dead or alive, I get the feeling she’ll be back.
Rio gave Billy a pass here, but I think she may have an issue with this family eventually if they keep this up!

Hi Jess. I really enjoyed watching this show with you! Every week after watching the episode, watching your reaction was my chance to share the experience with someone else. I never delved into comments because i didn't want spoilers, but from that very first week and Sharon's turning up in the show, you and I were on the EXACT same page. This show and these characters were my jam. It was a pleasure to get witchy with you.
Considering that this show was not something anyone was really asking for, or necessarily looking forward too this was outstanding. I went in with no expectations and was blown away by just how good it was. Great surprise and I'm very excited to see where we'll next see these two. Apparently the creators of Agatha All Along and Wandavision will be the team behind the Vision Quest series so if anything we'll see them then. I think there's a chance we see them in Avengers Doomsday, and like Infinity War and Endgame we'll follow a few teams of heroes, and that we could see Billy and Agatha found by Ms Marvel who we know is currently assembling the Young Avengers. Then Ms Marvel and her team can help them find Tommy and then take care of whatever they need to do to end up in Avengers Secret Wars. Meanwhile I would not expect to see Vision until Vision Quest which I am going to guess will get a release date before Secret Wars so he can appear there, similar to how Antman and The Wasp came out between the Infinity War and Endgame, explaining why Antman wasn't involved in Infinity War.

Agatha doesn’t give birth to Nicholas until 1750. We still haven’t seen anything from before her mother and coven attacked her 1692. Leading up to that, Agatha has her relationship with Rio and obtains the Darkhold.
My guess is that Agatha promised her firstborn for the Darkhold. Rio shows up to claim Nicholas, feels sorry, and grants Agatha more time. In hindsight, this extra time is even more heartbreaking for Agatha because she knows what she gave up, but in true Agatha fashion, she blames Rio for this, rather than accept responsibility.
Really hoping to seeing Jen in the Midnight Sons. Jennifer Kale was a frequent member of that group.

In the comics Agatha becomes a ghost and helps and guides Wanda on the witches road
17:20 What Agatha did was messed up, but did she really have a choice? She was already living on borrowed time; Agatha was Death's vassal on Earth. Cosmic Rules prevent the very impatient entity Death from killing people indiscriminately, so Death had to find a workaround, and she did, a naïve soul by the name of Agatha. As long as Agatha did her bidding, Death allowed her to remain in the world of the living. They had a deal and the moment she failed to uphold it Death would come for her. Agatha's deal extended to her son, Nicholas, and he got to live until he lost interest in his mother's job.
If you go back and listen to the deal Agatha was making to deliver Billy to Death, you'll specifically hear Agatha demand that Death release her. Agatha was Death's slave, and she feared Death for good reason--re-watch the scenes showing Death's arrival, and you'll see fear wash over Agatha; she always knew when her master had arrived. Agatha didn't just ask for Death to cancel their contract. She made Death promise to never see her again. That promise made sure Death couldn't claim Agatha in death. If Death cannot claim you, your soul is free to remain in the land of the living; hence, Ghost Agatha! Agatha cannot bear to spend eternity with her son and the women they killed together. Nicholas killed with his mother, and Agatha is ashamed of the things she made him do, but it is what she had to do to have a life with him. This is why Agatha lets people believe the rumors about her trading her child for the Darkhold. She would rather people not know what she had Nicholas do; she made him use his charm to lure witches to their deaths.
Agatha hid behind the power of the Darkhold, successfully evading Death's gaze, but I suspect that she wanted to do much more than that with the Darkhold. I think she wanted to bring her son back with Wanda's Chaos Magic since it has the ability to warp reality, but also to possibly kill Death. The only way she would have been able to remove Nicholas from the underworld would have been to kill Death, which isn't possible...or is it?
in any case, Agatha is finally free from Death's hold on her. She can finally turn over a new leaf. What will her future look like?
This was such a fun series. I hope we get to see all of these characters again, especially the ones we lost along the way. I want Alice and Lilia back, damn it! They were too good to write out of the MCU in such a short time.

This show was all i wanted. My favorite Marvel show with wandavision and both loki seasons are in second place. I want to see Jennifer in her full power witch outfit and see her using her pink. I need a second season of this show. ❤

5:38 pay close attention to what she CAN'T do... all the things that a protection, potions, and divination witch CAN do. And even then, she didn't want to be part of a coven; had she been, may Nicky could've lasted longer than 6 years... hence why I think that she can't face him: cuz she didn't do ALL she could to save her son 😢

I didn't have high expectations coming in but ended up enjoying the show. Well written, directed, and the cast was very good.
I like that they didn't shy away from Agatha's evil deeds but show a glimpse of humanity at the end. Seriously though, Agatha took out more witches than all the witch hunting trials.

I love watching people and hearing their opinions and thoughts . *I didn’t like marvel before this show , it made me go watch Wanda vision while I waited each week for more Agatha 😂* Seeing there as into it as me makes it exciting 👏🏻 I hope the story continues in Wiccan. Ghost witch Agatha could be incredible. I could see her possessing people in comedic ways. And perhaps ghost Agatha having a moment

Agatha was Wanda's mentor in the comics, so it only makes sense that she'd be Billy's mentor in the MCU
Episode 7 and 8 were the finale, and episode 9 was the epilogue, i'd say.
Episode 7 was obviously the best (everyone agrees on that, right?), and it connected all the previous episodes through Lilia's story (and the acting of course).
Then episode 8 was the finish line of the road and the culmination.
Now episode 9 is the calm epilogue to explain the story before and the story after.
What I really didn't like was Billy trying to banish ghost Agatha in the end. Like ???? I honestly do not understand why he hates her so, she hasn't actually done anything to him. It's quite irritating and VERY hypocritical of him. Like, he has the gall to tell Agatha she "doesn't deserve another chance" at life, right after SHE HELPED HIM find his brother a body so his brother can get another chance at life????? The hypocrisy and lack of gratitude is too much for me. In many moments he comes off as too self righteous for me. Like, HE deserved a second go at life with a new body and so did his brother (thanks to Agatha!), but HE decided that she doesn't deserve it too? Like... who put him in charge of saying who gets and who doesn't get to live?

You know, it's not certain that we won't see Alice or Lillia again. They did establish that there's at least one real afterlife in Love & Thunder (whatever you think of that movie) and Rio's existence and the scene with Alice here confirms that there's at least something going on, even leaving aside Agatha's ghost (which I suspect has more to do with Billy than afterlife shenanigans). Alas, poor Sharon.
