I just realised something and it made me bawl my eyes out. Death also means rebirth. Lilia was able to fill in all of the gaps, and she will finally be able to live her life from the beginning. The Agatha All Along people are just flexing at this point. I think we all expected Lilia's episode to put together the little flashes she's been having all season during her trial, but this was just beyond all my expectations. I can't wait for the double finale, it's going to be so sad that such a brilliant show is ending so soon.
I truly love how they sprinkled Lilia’s trial reading throughout previous episodes and unraveled them all this episode. Patti LuPone did really well as Lilia and served the character perfectly. Billy being dressed as maleficent is a fun nod to what his character might “transform” into something more just like maleficent becoming a dragon. Another episode where the dialogue just hits so well and Aubrey Plaza as Death is perfect casting.
I don't know if anyone else thought it but Lilia's storyline seemed like an allegory for Dementia/Alzheimer's at times, especially this episode. As someone who lost a grandmother to it, the episode hit harder than i thought it would

I kind of feel bad for the people who wrote this series off after the first or second episode. The casting, the writing, the practical effects are all incredible. Especially given the fact that this has the lowest budget of any Marvel show/movie. I’ll admit I’m not a hard-core Marvel fan, and I started watching the episode because I have a serious crush on Joe Locke, but this made me go back and binge the entire series of WandaVision and one afternoon this weekend.
I said it elsewhere but Patti LuPone hasn't been nominated for an Emmy in twenty-freaking-six years and I really hope this injustice will be corrected after this episode.
What I like about this episode are all the reactions I've seen to it, each one has somebody bringing up a important memory to them or how this episode impacted them in some way, that is incredible when something is able to do that.
By the rules of television, we both did not see Lillia die, or hear a Sword-Skewer sound. I bring this up because her power seems to be that she's untethered from time, experiencing moments out of order, but still moments she experiences. She's not psychic, she's just seeing what she see's in the future, so when Lillia says to Agatha "When she calls you a coward hit the deck" like, presumably, Lillia in some form had to be there to witness that to give Agatha that warning. Maybe she'll be a ghost, or Rio (Death) summons her back for some purpose in the finale to mess with Agatha, Billy, and Jen.
To add to your observation, I believe this was her arc to becoming the actual Queen of Cups on the tarot card. On her first lesson her centuries old self returned pretty defeated near the end of her life because of not being able to stop death. She accepts death, her hour glass flips, and she exclaims, "I am the Queen of Cups" and forever in a closed loop. It's actually triumphant and heart wrenching at the same time.
This episode and the cinematography of this episode actually reminds me of ABC’s once upon a time. The way it just kind of flowed from the beginning of the season to its climax of season one. That final understanding of Emma knows understanding of who she is in fairytale land.
This is the reaction I was waiting for. Emmy-worthy episode, beginning to end credit music. One of the things they did differently this time than they have in the past is they allowed the showrunner who understands television to do -his- her job. And it shows. Patti LuPone is incredible. I don't even have the right words to explain the look in her eye. That clarity of thought, that wasn't just acting. That was using life experience.
Jac Schaeffer really did that thing, what a Queen! I hope she gets to take over more Marvel projects because she really showed what a masterclass she is at her job.

Favorite episode so far that enhances every one that came before. While each episode has its own feel, it all also feels very coherent & well structured.
This is Billy's Hex they are in the tunnels that Sharon mention are under Westview. Right at the beginning Agatha clocked that this is not the witch's road. She even mentions it suits him when he mentioned its exactly how he imagined
No, it’s real. People with theory will be so disappointed in the end. Road adjusts to the coven, this why it suits to Billy and probably to others, like trials, i think it’s what coven collectively imagines.
Secret Invasion felt like it was draft number 2 of the script that was written around 'Samuel L Jackson not really wanting to do much other than sit in a chair in a room thay can CGI in around him' but this is.... this really feels like the first MCU story not impacted by 'Cowid'/'Cowid' restrictions and the ripples of the writers strike. Lilia had rejected her divination powers because all she could foresee are people’s deaths. Her saying “Death comes for all” is something that has been proven to her all of her life. At the end she finally wasn’t afraid of Death anymore and was happy to go
Wow, that was the best episode... It was just sad because Lilia died. I hope everyone who dies comes back in the end... It would be weird if they kill Death in the finale, that would ruin it. The Scarlet Witch is still alive... I hope Lady Death stays alive too. After all, Deadpool is in the Marvel universe and Aubrey Plaza is such a great actress, just like the whole cast. Such a good show.

The positive values of personal sacrifice, community building, and trusting intuition along with the negatives of backstabbing and self-doubt is what we really relate to. This episode also reminded me of my grandmother and the quiet strength she has that is often overlooked. Love her.
I wish I could remember which, but Lindsey Ellis pointed out in one of her videos the way Disney had to duck around copyright on the exact shade of green to use for their versions of the Wicked Witch of the West, and lo and behold here we have the classic OUAT greasy green again.
