I like how, despite the game being mostly wacky and comical, there are these serious and occasionally horrifying moments during the story (Carlos' death, Shogo's burial). Even the main character feels like a straight up villain at times, instead of an anti-hero.
The boss’s only goal is
Taking over Stilwater. He’s just a thugified warlord plain and simple. The fact you’re pointing out he feels like a villain at times proves how powerful the Protagonist halo is.
The Boss is literally the biggest villain in the game. He accepted nothing less than completely slaughtering all people in his way.
In my opinion Saints Row 2 is one of the best classic games to ever exist, straight every about it is just perfectly executed, whenever we talking classic console games this game in particular always crosses my mind, truly a masterpiece 👑

i agree. it's such a shame they didn't continue the franchise because Saints Row 3 REALLY fell off a cliff. Saints Row franchise probably could have rivaled GTA in some senses if it continued much like the progress we saw from Saints Row 1 to Saints Row 2.... loved this game, and the stories were pretty entertaining also.

I always found it interesting that people who played and reviewed this game always avoided the biggest plot hole in the link between 1 and this: the fact that by the canon lore of default characters, the protagonist was so badly burned by the boat explosion he actually pulled a Robert Downey Jr and changed skin colour.

Thanks for uploading this. Tried to play the game but just couldn't connect to it like I could with 3 and 4 and got sick of it after a few hours. This is the next best option, I guess.
Yeah, I can get sick of any game after a few hours. But I'll come back and play again a few days-months later. I even got bored with spiderman PS5, as ridiculous as that sounds.
I see a lot of ppl say that the 1 & 2 are the best saints rows, but after playing almost every gta game and going to these 2 they just got boring and weren’t as fun especially when compared to great games like San Andreas. But when I played 3 and 4 they felt so unique and I’ve replayed them multiple times

I might reconsider rebuying a ps2 some point I feel like this particular moment has a sense of nostalgia to it and I'm hooked. Also because I heard that when the company went broke they sold alot of its assets Including some script files for saints row 2 to work flawlessly on the pc. I've used various amount of pc's saints row 2 has always lagged somewhere in the game. Because it lacks those scripts it cannot perform like how it would on the ps2.

Saints Row 1 and 2 was a problem on Xbox 360, the saves kept getting corrupted, but hopefully not anymore thanks to Xbox One.

I loved this game back in 2009 and I love it now, everything it's just perfect and it's without a doubt the best Saints Row of the series. The only flos is the color palette, everything looked so gray and lifeless and tbh didn't match the tone of the game.

After my protagonist who turned out to be a female protagonist survived the boat explosion 💥 she was in the prison hospital 🏥 and recovered after the mayor’s assassination on the boat 🚤, she was aided by Carlos, another inmate who is in the prison hospital 🏥 helping her break out of jail and defeating cops 👮♀️ and she is back on the street and went to the clothing store 🏬 and had to rescue her friend who was about to be executed but she didn’t let that happen and fought their way out of the courthouse and headed to his girlfriend’s house 🏠 after she faked her death on the original Saints Row. She found 50 tags in Stilwater and had to get her gang back together by taking back the city 🌃 they used to own years ago and now it’s time for them to defeat The Brotherhood, Sons of Samedi, The Ronin and Ultor to make her gang stronger. I completed Saints Row 2 days ago when my grandmother 👵 passed away years ago. She would’ve been watching this if she was here today.
Stilwater is only a fictional city 🌃 on the midwestern state of Michigan. Stilwater is primarily based on the city 🏙 of Detroit. 🇺🇸
After that I did the same on SR3 by coloring the 🗺 purple the same way I did SR2 days ago and I thank you for picking my comment that I sent you and I hope you remember what I sent you and we can be friends. 👍
I found 50 tags in Stilwater and that helped me build reputation and helps me take back the city 🏙 that was taken by The Brotherhood, Sons of Samedi, and The Ronin, The Ultor. I think the Ronin got their name from either Ronin Warriors or 47 Ronin.👍
Similar to GTA: San Andreas, I still liked that one.
My protagonist is turned out to be a vanilla(white)lady who ruled Stilwater after defeating enemy gangs and Ultor. 👍
